[ The job may have started out as a way to get her mother off her back about her wild child ways, but she has to admit working for Linda Drysdale has its perks. Travel, money, even the excitement she craves now that she does more than just push paper and answer phones — with the convenient added bonus of keeping her schedule full enough to avoid dealing with her mother (and Roger) except in the smallest of doses, which is exactly as she prefers it.

And this trip definitely helps; there are 3700 miles between her and Victoria Spencer's domineering control-freak bullshit and she's gonna take full advantage of the respite. Even if that means waiting in an airport in Marseille at way-too-fucking-early-after-her-own-red-eye-flight to meet her... Associate? Travel partner? Boss's son? Co-worker? What is she even supposed to call him?

Besides late, that is. It's not exactly his fault; the flight from Logan's delayed due to weather, and she's on her second cafe au lait of the hour as she waits in the terminal for its arrival. The closing isn't until tomorrow, so she's dressed down today, though still smart and put-together enough to pass muster.

She's never actually met Ransom Drysdale, so all she has to go on are the family photos on Linda's desk, but he's tall and not exactly hard on the eyes — and not all that hard to spot. Ava's a quarter of the way through her third cafe au lait when his flight finally arrives, and three-quarters through by the time the people start filing into the terminal. She tosses the last of her coffee in a trashcan as she heads over. ]
