TO THE BEACH MEME
It's that time of year to pack up tight in your hot car and bring yourself on down to the beach for a fun time with friends!

1. Comment with your character, canon and preferences.
2. Reply to others.
3. RNG if you need to for prompts or make up your own.

WATERWORKS: One of the more popular ways to cool down at the beach is to get wet. Swimming around is fun but so is filling up some store bought water guns and spraying your friends!

COMPETITIONS: There all kinds of competitions at the beach. Watermelon eating, watermelon smashing, volleyball, ect. Work hard to win that shiny blue ribbon.

RELAXATION: Maybe you want to relax under the sun to get that nice tan or maybe go back to the hotel room have a drink out on the balcony.

SHOPPING: You have to look good for the beach so why not do some shopping at the local stores. Getting a cute bathing suit, a souvenir for the people back home, or maybe going on a supply run for a party back in your hotel room.

DATE STUFF: The beach can be quite romantic too. A long walk on the beach at dusk, eating at a restaurant, checking out the boardwalk, ect. All good stuff to steal a kiss or maybe for a meet-cute.

WILDCARD: For people who want to do something a little different.

[ 'Let's have a little get-together to celebrate Moenbryda's arrival.' Minfilia had said, 'It'll be fun.' she said. Hen wasn't entirely sure, but standing amid the hot sand of Costa del Sol with her sun hat pulled firmly over her head as she watched Alphinaud and Yda argue over a sand castle didn't seem very fun. Or perhaps it was the proximity to the water. ]

...I've a few regrets.

[ In the meantime, Moenbryda appears to have fully entered into the spirit of the thing. Unconcerned in the least by the possibility of a sunburn, she's dressed in a ruffle-laden top and a wrap tied off around her waist, though that might not stay there for long if the way she's eying the water is any indication.

Still, she's on the beach for now, which means she catches that chagrined murmur easily enough. She laughs, loud and carefree ]

[ Hen makes a small yelping noise, turning to face Moenbryda with a flush on her cheeks. ]

...N-Not entirely. [ She shuffles in place. ] I can't swim.

[ That gets her a bright, loud laugh. ]

The good news is, there's plenty to do that isn't related to the water. [ Amused, she waves at Costa del Sol's ... well, everything. ] It's perfectly fine if you just want to get yourself a fancy drink and sit in the shade all day.

If I wanted to sit in the shade and drink, I'd just head to the Drowning Wench.

[ There's more fidgeting from the Warrior of Light, looking more like a child than a famed god-slayer. She frowns, then snaps her fingers.]

I've got art supplies in my pack! I could paint!

The Drowning Wench isn't really as scenic, is it?

[ Arguably, the price of the average drink around here suggests that scenery doesn't come cheap. At the other woman's sudden exclamation, Moenbryda raises a brow. ]

You paint?

[ Hen nods, running to grab her pack. A few moments of digging, and she pulls a sketchpad free. Watercolor and charcoal stains the cover. ]

I'm...not very good at it, but I still like painting the places I've seen and gathering rubbings or pressing flowers in the pages.

[ Hen shyly opens the book, the first few pages are full of bad sketches of places that vaguely resemble Limsa Lominsa, before more discernible paintings of locations in Eorzea appear, along with the occasional rubbing. It isn't long before vague drawings of the Scions show up, along with childish handwriting. ]
