A voice rings through the air. "Solo!"

The twins turn, almost at the exact same time, and they both call out in near-perfect unison, "Which one?" But Jaina, having vaulted up the stone wall, has a better vantage point, and she can see that it's Jon who's now holding the deactivated remote and that he's planning to pass it on to Jane so she can take it all the way to the end of the maze and score a victory for their team. So she doubles back to intercept, running along the top of the wall—

Jane doesn't even run. She spins on her heel, crouching low as she yanks the metal ball right out of Jon's hand with her telekinesis, keeping its path practically at ground level so that Jaina can't just grab it if she jumps off the wall. She can feel Tenel Ka coming up her opposite side with all of her one-armed ferocity, and she can't help making a frustrated noise at how unfairly they've been sorted for this game.

They're playing a little something the Masters have decided to put together as some sort of year-ender, before the students are given some time off to visit their families or pursue some of the more personalized aspects of their training program. It's basically a race through the training grounds, with two teams of five members competing. For this game the objective's pretty straightforward: locate a very particular lightsaber training remote, defeat and deactivate it, and whoever brings it to the finish line first wins.

Jane had ended up with Jon and Lowie, but also with Raynar and Theon. Jaina was much luckier, because she had Robb, Tenel Ka and Zekk, and while they had mild-mannered Tekli as their fifth, she was a great healer. So as expected, Jaina's team was in the lead for most of the game — until Jane punched Theon in the face and Jon tied Raynar to a tree for being insufferable brats, and together they decided to wait for Jaina and her cohorts to get the remote and just steal it from them. Lowie had made sad Wookiee noises in protest, but they both insisted that technically the rules said nothing about having to be the ones to commandeer the remote, only that they would have to be the ones to carry it through the end.

Which is what she's doing now. "The Princess is all yours, Snow!" she shouts, trusting Jon to intercept Tenel Ka and leave her in the clear. Lowie would take care of Jaina; Zekk was already down, having fallen into one of the traps she'd laid out earlier in the maze. That left only one person in the opposing team unaccounted for. Where are you, Robb? she thinks as she rushes through the last leg of the maze, keeping to the undergrowth with a hand curled around the remote protectively, and sinking deeper into the Force to weed out the enemy.

[Have a terrible weakness for 'Oswald as a vampire' AU. Your character could be one too, either by birth (the virus stays dormant in the body until a trigger octivates it) or by bite. All bodies respond differently to the virus so no two 'pires would be identical - gives you plenty of room to choose strengths and weaknesses. Other unique 'monsters' may also exist in this 'verse, thanks to Hugo Strange's experimentation, and there's always a human bounty hunter option too.

Oswald, being Oswald, has found that preying on the lowest of the low is one way to control crime. Regardless of how your character feels about murder, it may not hurt to keep on Oswald's good side to ask a favour now and again. He's got a sharp schnoz for tracking people down, but as Joker says, 'if you're good at something never do it for free'.]
