In nature, animals can be territorial. This makes sense; it's a cutthroat world, and you have to keep what's yours just to survive. They keep a close watch on lands, food supplies, and even sometimes mates. Pet owners can tell you that this instinct doesn't just go away - try getting that chew toy from your poodle. But what about people? Aren't we just animals, too? But for us, possessiveness is not a good social trait to have. That's understandable. Nobody likes someone so hung up on owning things. Especially not owning their lovers, since you can't simply have another person like that.

Yet even the most benign, most monkish of souls have possessive streaks at some moments when it comes to the person they're sleeping with. It's only natural. Usually, it comes from jealousy. You like having what's yours (even if it's a cruel way to think about things, that's the reptile brain peeking through), and you'd want it to stay that way. That means you want to show up the competition and remind the object of your desires that you're the apple of their eye. Of course, possessiveness doesn't always come from jealousy. Some people are just very, very...how do we say it...protective of them and theirs. How can they help that they want to show that in intimate ways?

In relationships, possessiveness throughout isn't healthy; still, a little bit of it can be actually arousing, especially in the bedroom. Today, the hotel is awakening that side of characters: the part that wants to screw their partner mercilessly to show them that they are the ones to touch them, to love them, to fuck them.

But my character isn't the possessive type, you say? Really? Really? As we've mentioned before, even the most kindhearted types feel it every once and a while. This meme never mentioned that it had to be a HUGE show of possession. It can even be a playful attempt in order to get their partner going or try a new kink in bed. Or, you could say the "influences" made them do it.

After all, there's plenty of prompts here to influence you.

HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and preferences. You also may want to include if your character is more or less likely to be the possessive or jealous party, but please note that all characters have the potential to be that in this meme. Otherwise, you'd get a lot of passive pillow queen characters to be fawned over so be mindful of that.

1. Induced Jealousy: Whether by taunting or misunderstanding, one partner is jealous and wants to make sure their lover knows that they're the worthy - and only - one.
2. Insecurity: There's no outside source here, only self-worth issues that cause a need for possession.

[With Jack now back in possession of his soul, Castiel feels like some of the burdening weight on his shoulders has been lifted. He finds himself able to focus better, able to bring more to the discussions on where and how they're going to defeat God. He feels more present, too, and his deal with the Empty seems like something he'll be able to manage, when the time comes.

Most importantly, selfish though it might seem to consider it such, Castiel can now focus on his relationship with Dean.

Throughout the years, they've danced around each other; while Castiel can only guess at Dean's feelings, he thinks they feel the same way from the many glances they've shared, their arguments in which they've both antagonized the other about risks and 'what were you thinking?' moments, and the wordless moments in which they just remained together, not speaking, but still quietly understanding one another.

And then, of course, Castiel thinks about the weight of Dean's prayer to him in Purgatory; the desperation in his apology that tugged at something deep within Castiel's fading grace. He thinks he's right to assume that Dean feels for him in the same way he feels for Dean.

Now, they have the Bunker to themselves, what with Sam taking Jack out for food and a chance to talk, given that Sam knows well the way it feels to have one's soul returned. Castiel is sitting by the war table, watching Dean across the room. He can't stop watching Dean; the way his bowlegs sway as he walks, the way his particular outfit today seems to emphasize all the best parts of him, and the way the green of his eyes shines, even in the Bunker's dim lighting.

Castiel feels like he could choke on all the things he wants to say; the words build up beneath his skin, clamoring to get out. He wants; he wants to kiss Dean, wants to tell Dean how he feels, he wants to fuck Dean - he wants to do everything with Dean. Eventually, he can't take the budding nature of everything inside of him; he stands up abruptly from his chair, and he makes his way over to Dean. He might not be able to express himself verbally, but Castiel feels pretty certain that he might just lose his damn mind if he doesn't at least kiss Dean.]

[It's all the warning Dean gets before Castiel is right up in his personal space, clutching at his shirt and pressing him back against the table, pressing their hips together. He takes a moment to watch Dean, his eyes glancing from his eyes to his lips, before he's kissing him, a fervor of lips and everything he wants to say.]

[ There's a lot crowding in on every second Dean's awareness is the right side of conscious that he's been unusually quiet since everything went down. He's used to fast-paced; thrives on it and depends on it as much as he depends on air to breathe because too much downtime? Never works out well for him. Stretches of time that aren't filled with do this, now feel like mental marathons and with what's just happened? He doesn't know if he has the goddamn fortitude to not veer off on a path that he won't let anybody follow him down in this uncomfortable quiet.

When Sam had suggested he take Jack out for a bite to eat, whatever hesitation that had spiked because of it he'd strangled until he'd just stopped talking. The deep-seated need to keep his family close to him, to protect them no matter the cost, had filled every single part of him until he'd had to walk away. Take himself out of the equation because even he gets that he can't keep everybody locked up in the damn bunker while they try defeating God, no matter how much he might want to sometimes.

Alongside all of that, Purgatory's never far from his thoughts. Reliving that moment he thought he'd lost Cas for good sticks like tar to his brain, to his heart, makes it front and center of the montage of everything that's bothering him. Like he can still taste the bile at the back of his throat, the cold as ice stone that had settled in his stomach. The hot, heartbroken tears that had run down his face as he realized that once again he'd fucked everything so much that he'd lost somebody he can't begin to explain his feelings for. How's he supposed to neatly explain what exactly it is he feels when it comes to Cas? Like people just strike up this kind of connection every day and know how to live with it. It's been a decade and he still doesn't know how.

That prayer had been the closest he'd gotten to honest with Cas for what feels like a long time, and Dean knows with painful clarity how they'd drifted so far apart. It's on him. All of it was on him. So what else was he supposed to do other than bare his soul again, to take all those guards down and be as honest with himself in ways he'd been stubbornly avoiding as he was being with Cas.

All of it is the only reason he doesn't exactly process the fact that Cas is out of his seat, has rounded the table and is making a very distinct move into his space. Usually, he'd tell himself, he wouldn't have been caught so off-guard, but it is what it is and there are hands in his shirt quicker than his understanding can catch up with. His body? That reacts quicker, adrenaline coursing though his veins like it always does, a familiar, welcomed feeling that spikes into the uncomfortable silence and fills him up. At first he's expecting Cas to take a swing at him, figures maybe there's some crap they haven't exactly worked out yet. But that's not what he gets, even as his own hands fist into the fabric of that trenchcoat automatically. ]

The kiss is aggressive enough that Dean's not exactly sure, but his body reacts with a confusing mixture of aggression, heat and acceptance of its own. Giving back as good as he gets is exactly what he does, fingers so tight in that fabric that they're white-knuckled and hurting, and in this moment? He knows it's because he doesn't want to let go. ]

There had been a time a few years before when no one cared what Nie Huaisang did as long as he did it somewhere else and didn't make an embarrassing scene for more respectable folk in the cultivation world. However, ever since his surprisingly adept oversight of the Coffin-Sealing Ceremony after Jin Guangyao's fall, he's worked continuously to restore his sect to its former strength and overturn his less-than-reliable reputation as the Headshaker. He's no longer the laughingstock of the cultivation world and even if he still gives into humorously dramatic antics on occasion, it's balanced out with competence and wisdom on par with his more respected peers.

So when rumors first begin to spread around this year's Discussion Conference that Nie Huaisang had been paying visits to a professional matchmaker, they caught the interest of many eligible young ladies and many minor sect leaders seeking a good match for their unmarried daughters or sisters. Even if his cultivation level was low, his good looks, affable demeanor, and high status still held appeal for many looking to gain a marriage alliance with one of the Great Sects.

The man himself seems to be having a rather fine time at the banquets, sipping wine, and chatting quite animatedly with a pretty female cultivator from a minor sect. His cheeks are a little flushed and he's smiling with startling ease for a change as he leans in close to whisper something in the young lady's ear.
