Has anyone ever granted you a wish?

He hummed in a thoughtful manner as he thought about a wish he might want granted as he waited for a response.

Why would you ask such a thing? Is it that you want to grant some sort of wish for me? This is about you, however; not me.

A bit of curiosity, and the fact it sounds like you focus more on the wishes of others instead of your own. As for me granting one of your wishes, I find myself curious to know what you would wish for and what I might offer to make it come true.

He tilted his manner as he thought for a few moments before sending off another response.

If I were to wish for your friendship, what sort of deal would be worked out there? I do enjoy having friends without benefits as well as those with.

It's business, and in life shouldn't I help those who are less fortunate? Out the kindness of my heart, I just wish to see people get something that they've always wanted. There's always a price, but who cares as long as they obtain what they're after? For what I want, it's nothing to ponder about.

Oh? You want to be my friend? It's simple, friends help other friends out don't they? I'd need your complete devotion to me, that's all.

Friends do indeed help each other out, and it sounds like you could definitely use one if only to look after you.

Smiling, Abel sends off his answer.

Then if that's the case.. I'll fax the paper to your facility. Please return it to me within 3 business days to finalize our agreement.

Everyone can use someone to watch over them. Even if that's just to offer a shoulder after a bad day.

Abel huffed a small laugh at how businesslike the arrangement was, but he dutifully offered up a number to fax the papers to, filled them out, signed them, and sent them back the same hour. Then, he simply went about his day as he waited for a phone call or another text from his new friend.

( as soon (despite it being later in the day) as he receives the contract with a signature to finalize their exchange, he's quick to look it over to ensure the ink doesn't smudge off. it's as legit as it comes, and with visible proof will azul set it off to the side of his desk for safe keeping. he'll make sure to whisk it away into his vault sooner or later, but he guesses he should relay the information that he's retrieved it.

with that in mind, he's pulling out his phone to send another text. )

Our agreement is in order, it'll be nice working with you.

I look forward to a long friendship.

A bit odd how that was phrased, but Abel supposed everyone had their little quirks. He did mark the number with Azul's name so he would know at a glance who it was texting him or even calling.

( he stares over the text again in his attempt to swallow down the term, but it seems so foreign to him that he's having a few complications accepting it. though, that was their agreement so he knows better than to say otherwise, but it doesn't mean he has to say the word explicitly. besides, azul only takes interests in those who appear to be useful, or be great at his side.. and so he guesses. )

Are you sure? I do happen to have a long lifespan.

( now that he thinks about it... did he make a contract with a human.. or. )

My own lifespan actually has stretched into centuries at this point. I'm not exactly human....

Abel wasn't sure how willing Azul might still be, knowing he made a bargain with someone that wasn't human, but Abel was committed to being a good friend to the mysterious sea witch. That meant letting him know that Abel was going to be around for a very long time.

Of course, he had to wonder just how long a sea witch did live.

I see, I should have looked into this then. What are you exactly, my dear friend?

( it doesn't bother him none, but the fact that he may have to go about calling someone his friend for.. who knows how long.. is kind of different than what he's used to. he doesn't dismiss it, and rather makes a mental note in his mind on his newly acquired information. )

Humans really don't have much to offer, so no wonder you were willing to hand yourself over so easily.

Abel bit his lip but continued on. He had opened this little bag of worms. no sense in backing out now.

I am to vampires what they are to humans. Sun doesn't bother me, and I am more durable than humans.

He snorted and shook his head at the thought of his words being taken the wrong way. Confidant. Friend, Ally. Companion. Unless it is power over me you wish, and I'm sure we can discuss those sorts of arrangements as well.

A predator to other vampires, and they haven't found a way to kill you yet?

In a general sense, I just want to remain on top of everything. No matter what must be done or what I must do, as long as I feel satisfied with my position, I'm fine. It sounds like you're interested in having a position yourself, so I guess I'll hear you out. You're my "friend," but what can a "friend" like you do for me?

There have been those that tried. They didn't survive the attempt.

And he was going to leave it at that because he didn't want to think about those deaths at his hands which would only lead to nightmares tonight when he went to bed.

A thoughtful frown crossed his face as he thought about what was being offered and asked. This definitely sounded like someone who had never had a friend before.

I can do many things for you from simply supporting you through a bad day to offering comfort as needed. A friend is also good for having fun with on a day off, or just being there for you, knowing you're not alone in the world.

Your hands are covered in blood, is it? No matter, I don't fault you.

You must have many friends to turn to on your less than better days, hm? I'll keep the idea in mind, but I do think I'm fine as is so I won't bother you that much.

He is certainly going to ignore that first text as hard as he can. He doesn't like to think about the blood that won't wash away.

It's never a bother to listen to a friend. Even if all you want to do is chat. Or accidentally send a sexy text like I did when I accidentally contacted you instead of my other acquaintance. I did apologize for that, right? I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable with the unintentional 'booty call'.

His cheeks still turn pink from embarrassment and a touch arousal at the realization that a complete stranger knows about one of his kinks now.
