Family fun, a weekend retreat, or maybe something a little more... unplanned. SOmetimes it's good to just get away from the distractions of the modern world. Leave the cellphone in the car, disconnect from the digital world and step back into good old Mother Nature.

How To:

Options:

1. Setting Up Camp - Why the hell are there so many pieces to this tent and wait what? no no that's not how you start a fire are you trying to burn the forest down?!
2. Roughing it- Okay there's camping and then there's stranding yourself out in the woods with nothing but a backpack, a piece of flint, and a compass. Or maybe it wasn't you're idea and you're in need of rescuing.
3. Campfire Food- There's nothing like food cooked over a campfire. Or maybe you're content with just stabbing a hotdog with a stick and trying not to get it too burnt?
4. Fireside Tales- Something about being in the woods at night demands spooky stories told by the fire. And maybe you can wrangle someone else into helping you scare the crap out of everyone!
5. Great Outdoors- Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the wonder of being outside where light pollution is minimal, the forest sounds replace the noise of the city, and you can see the stars. Or maybe you just want to complain about all these bugs.
6. Hiking Trails-On foot, on horseback, or on mountain bike, these are the best way to see what there is to see. Just make sure you stay on the path.
7. Plant Identification-No, those berries are totally safe to eat... right? And... hold on... is that poison ivy?
8. The Rich Life-Now this is camping. An RV that costs almost as much as your house, running water, TV, AC... what do you mean that's not really camping?
9. Wildlife Encounters- What was that? Did you just see a fox? Or was that a bear you heard? Or maybe you're looking for something a bit easier to roast like rabbits or fish. Just watch out for snakes.
10. Inclement Weather-How are you supposed to set up a tent when it's pouring? Did you bring enough layers for the chill? Or maybe it's just unseasonably hot and you need to go jump in the river before you pass out.
11. The Unknown- Maybe it was all the scary stories or maybe it's just the unknown sounds that come from the forest at night but you're freaked. Or maybe... Maybe it's a Wendigo.
12. Wild card- Mix and match or make up your own.

Camping is one of those things that really marks what it means to be an adult, or at least that's what Slade was raised to believe. If a man can survive a week in the woods with nothing more than a roll of toilet paper and a hunting rifle - which Slade can - it means he can do just about anything. And it's cathartic. Slade doesn't have a problem with people, only the stupid ones, generally, but it can be nice to get away. He's overdue for a vacation, and this vacation just happens to come in the form of a trip to some nondescript, off-the-beaten-path location that isn't charted out on any local hiking guides. Much more fun that way.

...Unfortunate, this vacation is feeling a lot more like an extended stretch of babysitting since Nygma is here with him. There's no reason for Nygma to be here with him. Slade's still racking his brain to figure out why he allowed Edward to be here with him. Who let this happen?

There's the fact that Slade and Wintergreen aren't exactly on speaking terms right now, which could be part of it. Edward is still a far reach from Slade's usual camping buddy, not that Slade needs a camping buddy at all. He could have done this on his own. Billy was good, though. Together, they'd braved the Malaysian jungles surviving on snake juice and pond water. Meanwhile, Slade doesn't think Ed knows birch from cedar. He doesn't compare as a stand-in.

There are more reasons for Ed not to be here. An added person will only slow Slade down. An added useless person means Slade has to constantly look over his shoulder to make sure he's still alive. He's constantly telling Ed to watch his step, something that Wintergreen wouldn't need to hear. And the complaints, Jesus. He's worse than Slade's kids, and he's one bear attack away from being just as incompetent. Despite all this, there are a few points that work in his favor. It's just a weekend trip, for one. And the woods are big, big enough so that if [or maybe when] Slade gets tired of Ed, he can ditch him by a stream. No one can say Slade isn't considerate; he'd at least leave Ed by a source of running water which, everyone knows, is the easiest way to find civilization when you know what to look for. He has a heart.

New Jersey in July is nothing like Kentucky in January, but Slade can adapt. If the heat and bugs are bothering him, the way he's squinting into the setting sun is the only thing that shows it. It'll be dark soon, and moving at night is stupid, even when the moon is slated to be bright. They'd be better of hunkering and starting fresh in the morning.

"You can make a fire." It's not phrased like a question. Don't disappoint him. "Get one started." He's already pulling rifle from around his neck and checking down the sights. Deer, coyote, fox, he'll find something.

Ren was an expert at making curry thanks to his hours spent helping Sojiro at Leblanc. So when he saw Naoto with the book he peered over his shoulders and spied to the word 'Curry' and knew that he was the person needed here.

"If you've decided on that, I know a great recipe for curry," he murmured. "The cafe where I'm living serves it all the time."

The only thing that would have made it better was if he had any of Sojiro's coffee beans, but alas, the man guarded those with his life.

He had not seen this - was it a girl or boy? Hmm. Well, he supposed it didn't matter. Then he saw the uniform and nearly smacked himself. Yasogami High. This person wasn't from his school

"Sorry," he said. "I wasn't paying attention. I seem to have lost my group from Shujin."

More like they ditched him. Really, when were people going to let those rumors go? Oh well. Maybe it was for the better.

Vanaheim is a very green realm, rolling hills covered in thick tall trees and dense brush, creeks and rivers spread throughout the land like arteries carrying lifeblood from the realm's heart. Odin's sons have come to know it well over the centuries, visiting their mother's homeland to hunt and fish away from their father's scrutiny.

Not that Heimdall doesn't have his eyes on them while they're away, of course, but the gatekeeper is no tattletale either.

Damp gray clouds have been gathering all morning, and Thor doesn't need to hear the thunder on the horizon to know that there's a storm on its way. A mild one, all things considered, but perhaps not the best weather for hunting in. His gamebag boasts several hares and a partridge, enough to make a lean meal for two hungry Asgardians. A deer would've been better, or perhaps a boar. But this will have to be enough to tide them over until the weather turns.

He shoulders the bag and tucks his hunting spear against his side, heading back toward camp.
