They had been sitting in the car to long outside of Harry's house. Well, his house now, but on some level it would always feel like Harry's.

Which wasn't really the problem, sitting there in the car. And it wasn't necessarily with the way the mission had gone earlier in the evening. The first part of it, anyways. It was an odd mission to be sure, but they were down agents at the moment, even with the Americans' help, and what choice was there but for him and Harry to team up for this gig? They had shown they worked beautifully together taking down Poppy, after all. It made total sense that they would be chosen for a team mission - even if said mission involved himself and Harry having to play a couple.

An odd couple, to be sure, but not that odd. Harry could most definitely get himself a man Eggsy's age if he wanted, and Eggsy could absolutely seduce himself a man Harry's age if he liked. Not that any of the targets had cared - all of them had young, pretty things on their arms to show off at the parties. Fuck it had been hard not to vomit, and he would be lying if his eyes hadn't watched drinks very carefully to see if anyone of the others in the room had been slipped a little something. Everything had been legitimate though, and tonight had only been about Harry being able to work his way into the group.

Watching Harry work his magic again had been breathtaking (which in the end only helped the illusion that he was a smitten young thing), and he felt the electric buzz that came with a mission, with knowing that every word could be a key to a door or a bullet to the head. Fuck, every motion could do the same. He could feel the scrutiny they were under, the heavy stares and the murmurs behind cracked lips. So he played his part well, simpering beside Harry, keeping close to him, hand through his arm, touching his chest, stroking his suit, pressing little flirtatious kisses along his jaw and ear, picking at his fingers. He flashed a smiled, said the right things to display just the right amount of intelligence, but not to much. He was the bauble, the trophy for Harry to show off, and he intended to shine (but not to much).

Ultimately, they left the evening with an invitation back for Harry - part one of mission accomplished. Yet, on the ride back to the town home, Eggsy couldn't quite shake a feeling, an electric buzz that continued to linger, but was somehow... different.

His gaze traveled back over to Harry as rain drops plunked against the windshield, running his tongue along his teeth behind his lips. "Sorry if I went a bit overboard back there."

Not for the first time that day, Goro's fingers paused over the screen of his phone as he read the message he was composing—and then quickly deleted it.

It was ridiculous. Why was he having such a hard time making a simple request? There wasn't any particular meaning behind it. It was work, and while Goro preferred to accomplish as much as he could through his own means, it did sometimes require him to ask for help. He never struggled with it before, but things were always different with Ren, weren't they?

He was glad no one else was around to see him huff out a small breath. It had to be Ren, so there wasn't any point in debating over it.
