Thirst Trap meme!
The Thirst Trap Meme

Set a scene, get the right angle, reveal a little thigh, and snap! A thirst trap is a sexy photo posted on social media to attract attention. It can also refer to a person considered sexy—a social-media crush. Emerging from selfie culture, the well-staged thirst trap is a provocative photo, often with a coy or confident caption, that will trap (attract) thirst (attention, in the form of comments, likes, etc.).
Because, really, what’s the point of posting if no one is going to notice?
How it works:
- Post with your character name and fandom in the subject line. Include any prefs or no-no's.
- Comment with a link to an image of your character's very own thirst trap. To be safe, label them accordingly! (i.e., NSFW or not.)
- Tag around! Respond to others! Rate them, judge them, tell them what you wanna do to them.
- Think of this as the marriage between the Hot or Not Meme and the Rate That Ass Meme.
- Have fun and be excellent to each other!

You were just as capable of being a monster when you didn't have a tail, don't get confused on that part.
[Brat can brat all he likes, but leave the self-flagellating generalizations at the door, thanks. Prostrating oneself over what normal people consider "monstrous" leads to never does anyone any good.]
(OOC: The first one, joy...)

[Except he wasn't a jerk before his phasing. Then things changed and the kind, sweet boy took a lessons in badass and jerkass along with those muscles.]
You said you were born a werewolf. How long did you try to live as a human?
[He's guessing the answer.]
[OOC: Oh hell no. Most of mine have stayed okay, but... haven't checked every page of all of them. Ugh. Bet there are some ugly surprises waiting.]

Me? Still do. Don't know any other way.
I get that you lost something, Jacob. I do. You lost who you used to be and being able to live normal instead of just like it. That's worth missing. Miss it.
But eventually you'll have to focus on who you'll be now.
(OOC: Definitely looks like there's some resizing issues happening at least, womp womp.)

Yeah, I find that hard to believe. You grew up knowing about werewolves, all this stuff, had your powers and abilities. Even if you lived as a human, you knew you weren't.
But I get it. There's no going back for me. This is my life now, choice or no choice. Doesn't mean I have to like it, even if I accept it.
[OOC: All the resizing has happened. I have to zoom out to make things decent again. And damn, this went from snark to mature woofing quickly.]

You are, though. What, like that's a surprise? We all are: us, them, even humans. The degree is what makes real monsters.
It's not all doom and gloom. You've lost some things, but you've gained things, too.
(OOC: Oh, I meant padding around images and such, that's all out of whack, too. LMAO, the boys philosophize while we bitch...)

I still think there's a difference. Bad people. Real monsters.
Guess it all depends on what's more valuable. What you lost or what you gained.
[Here, have some respectful silence cause of that. Damn. Doesn't he feel like a heel right now.]
Sorry. That had to be rough.
[OOC: Ah fuck, padding. Yeah I'm gonna have to go check on that shit. So far most of my journals have looked okay on the surface. A lot use the lj-raw and div tags, so maybe that's it... And behind every great philosophy is something bitchy.]

You're alive. You have a pack. You can't get sick or hurt, and you have the power to protect who matters. Learn to look on the bright side, newbie. Could be worse. There are a lot more "monsters" in the world than you seem to realize. You'll tire yourself out trying to wish them all back under the bed.
[They could play the nature vs. nurture game all day and never figure it out. Would Brett Talbot be a softer person if he were human, or if he'd been allowed a genuine friend instead of dead parents and a little sister he suddenly had to be responsible for? Who knows.]
If we lived in a world where I could snap my fingers and give my sister some safe, boring human life with acne and kids that show up to her birthday parties, maybe I'd take it.
But we don't. No point crying about it.
(OOC: Functionality welfare check: fun times. :'))

[It's news to him. The vampires and werewolves in his neck of the proverbial woods take great pains to ensure humans have no idea they exist. Hearing Brett say humans can hunt werewolves? It's very disconcerting.]
I never wanted any of that. And I can still be hurt. But I'm not abandoning my pack, even though I don't want to be what I am. As for those other monsters?
Yeah I don't wanna hear it.
[Let him be in blissful ignorance with his brooding for a little while longer before you tell him fairies and mermaids are real.]
Oh yeah? I get wanting to keep her safe, but you'd choose to give her a human life if you could?
From what you've said to me, I thought you'd want her to stay a wolf.
[OOO: One thread they're chummy and flirty, the other thread they're angsty and starting to get growly. Yay for emotional flexibility!]

[In Brett's experience, no one touched by the supernatural is due a happy ending.]
Hunters. Mercenaries. Killers for profit. Take your pick.
Satomi took us in after our parents died in a fire. Accidental fires don't usually kill werewolves. Can't say for sure, but it was probably hunters. They're big on putting down the supernatural.
Then not along ago there were bounties on our heads for proof of death. That brought the other two. We were lucky, but most of the pack wasn't.
So yeah, I guess I would. Humans have hurt my family more than anything else in Beacon Hills has, and there's a lot more than just werewolves here. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right?
(OOC: Taste the feels rainbow......)

[Cue sarcastic irritation. Got some lemon juice, buddy?]
I know the bloodsuckers hunt humans for food, but the other way around? Is that even possible?
[Sure, technology has improved and weapons can definitely make humans threatening, but... really?
He's just going to sit here and watch all that text. While a fire leaving two werewolves as orphans isn't actually surprising (they would be the ones to live that, obviously), the idea that someone started it on purpose to kill Brett's parents is just... disgusting. And unnerving. He'll be checking and locking all the doors tonight, thank you.]
I'm sorry. I can't imagine how that feels. Nothing like that's happened here. Well, to us.
We do have a vampire that's out to kill my best friend, so we run into her occasionally. Bitch's slippery.
