Set a scene, get the right angle, reveal a little thigh, and snap! A thirst trap is a sexy photo posted on social media to attract attention. It can also refer to a person considered sexy—a social-media crush. Emerging from selfie culture, the well-staged thirst trap is a provocative photo, often with a coy or confident caption, that will trap (attract) thirst (attention, in the form of comments, likes, etc.).

 

Because, really, what’s the point of posting if no one is going to notice?

I mean, I'd definitely bat an eye or two.

yeah, on my ribs.
i got caught on a chain-link fence last last year, running from the cops.

[ it can't hold a candle to the scars he probably has, but it tells a story, and that's something. ]

( it's not anything close to the scars that mangle his body but it's interesting enough, specially in comparison to the rest of her unmarked pale skin that he tries not to pay too much mind to. )

That time it was breaking and entering. We thought the alarm company sign posted out front was just for show ... people do that more often than actually paying for it, you know?

Anyway ... it wasn't. They had a white picket fence, so maybe we should have known better.

Ah, okay-see, that was your first mistake.

[ there's something nerve-wracking about answering questions like this, even after everything, like maybe amy will admit the wrong thing about her past - about the person that she is - and frank will decide that she really is one of the bad guys. ]

Yes.

[warstory]

Well, I guess you learned your lesson.

( he's not trying to intimidate her and he sets a hand on her knee so she knows that, squeezing gently. )

You got anymore pictures?

[grifters]

[ oh, frank. ]

I got a lot of pictures. You'll have to be more specific.

[warstory]

[ she has a bunch more pictures from that day, and just tosses him the phone to let him scroll through them, because that seems somehow less awkward. ]

Go nuts. [ but amy's got him fixed with a stare, like she's watching for his reaction. ]

[warstory]

( he takes the phone dutifully, flicking through her camera roll. it's hard not to look too long at any of the photos - all of them, with all her bare skin on display, her made-up face. when he's finished, he hands back the phone, expression unreadable.

then, he offers, softly, talking before he can stop the words from coming out of his mouth - ) You're beautiful, Amy - you know that, don't you?

[grifters]

[ has anyone ever looked at her like this before? amy's cheeks flare so red she can feel it, the heat rising from her face, so of course her reaction is to snatch the phone back from frank like he'd straight up insulted her. it's a terrible way to react to a compliment, so it's pretty par for the course. ]

Oh, whatever. [ beautiful is too much - if he'd just said she was hot or something it would have been easier to handle. expected, even, given how the conversation had progressed thus far. but frank castle loves to throw her for a loop. ]

[warstory]

( frank's brow raises and he wonders, vaguely, if he's really insulted her or upset her. but - he decides that no, maybe amy just doesn't know how to react to a compliment, or maybe he'd been too much, that ain't hard to believe either.

but, still, instead of shirking back, frank insists, for amy's sake and because he can't quite help himself when it comes to her, he says softly, ) Hey, I mean it, yeah?

[grifters]

Okay, yeah, I get it. [ it's clearly becoming evident that frank's right on the money, because amy doubles down on the gruffness, kind of wishing she had something to physically hide behind. how's he always able to go and destroy her bravado like that? one of life's many mysteries. she struggles to regain some kind of composure and fixes him with a look. ]

You're not so bad yourself. [ yeah, yeah, 40 miles of rough road. it suits him. ]

[warstory]

Yeah, (that's when he huffs a laugh, head shaking. he hasn't forgotten about being called forty miles of rough road of face-like, or whatever the hell it is you called him, amy. only now he smiles, feeling his ears warm up.

but, frank doesn't have it in him to fight her off, so - )

[grifters]

[ oh, is this what it feels like when someone brushes off your compliment? utterly annoying? his is arguably worse than hers, though, because at least she'd graced him with a response that was more than two syllables long. but amy knows when and how to go in for the kill move, so to speak, and now she does, aiming for some kind of reaction. ]

Yeah. Do you think they made a porn parody about you yet?
