Thirst Trap meme!

The Thirst Trap Meme

Set a scene, get the right angle, reveal a little thigh, and snap! A thirst trap is a sexy photo posted on social media to attract attention. It can also refer to a person considered sexy—a social-media crush. Emerging from selfie culture, the well-staged thirst trap is a provocative photo, often with a coy or confident caption, that will trap (attract) thirst (attention, in the form of comments, likes, etc.).

Because, really, what’s the point of posting if no one is going to notice?

How it works:

- Post with your character name and fandom in the subject line. Include any prefs or no-no's.
- Comment with a link to an image of your character's very own thirst trap. To be safe, label them accordingly! (i.e., NSFW or not.)
- Tag around! Respond to others! Rate them, judge them, tell them what you wanna do to them.
- Think of this as the marriage between the Hot or Not Meme and the Rate That Ass Meme.
- Have fun and be excellent to each other!

Y... Yo...

[ hm. did shouhei happen to hit his head or something? he's not really sure where his words might have gotten to, somehow... whatever the reason, it's really inconvenient, and he wishes it had chosen a less crucial time!!

he scrunches up his face and gives his cheeks a few sharp pats. it's not that cold outside that he's feeling particularly chilly or anything, but the pats serve the same purpose as splashing some cold water down his back.

let's try this again! ]

Just taking in the evening, Murata-san!! [ ah, it's a good thing they're one of the last people out, otherwise he'd definitely be causing a scene. ] Y-You were really great up there tonight! I couldn't take my eyes off you!!

I'm glad you liked it~

[ exactly how murata ugetsu implements a tilde into his speech is anyone's guess, but he does, somehow maintaining polite distance between them while still sort of seeming to claim all the space entirely. it's not conscious, the residual effect he carries with him after a performance that to some -- like shouhei -- resonates in just a rather pure unabashed adoration, while in others it inspires something more visceral like a hunger that's been left to grow too steep or an envy that's been allowed to burn hot clear into cold. he knows he did well tonight but so far in his career murata ugetsu hasn't had a bad night. arguably he's had 'better' nights but then, sometimes even those he feels everything on stage and nothing once his feet leave the stage. and it's not about an audience; it's not about numbers exactly in the way that others might quantify such a thing with value.

if he can't play the violin -- not just play but play the way he wants to, the way he needs to, the way the glide of the bow is his way of explaining broken ceramic and hands that push and grasp at the same time: i want to hold on i want to run away i want to give up i cannot give up i want to touch you or this is what i should have said or why do you call first love 'first love? why not call it what it is, even if it's only what it was: the one time, the only: true love -- -- then he doesn't have a reason for being alive.

it's dramatic. he never will say it's not. he knows in that slippery slope of self awareness made neatly into glib statements that house a knife that's made all blade and no handle; he knows.

but it's also true. the truth is funny that way.

someone like shouhei is a breath of fresh air in the midst of the dozens of stuffy people trying to come to talk to him or get something out of him. he also stands out from less stuffy sorts whose only designs seem to be to make sure he remembers what a mess he is -- and sometimes, he lets them because he's as much a glutton for punishment as clear cool cadenzas. shouhei reminds ugetsu of a rabbit, and he knows this is somewhat due to his instagram feed snooping, but it's also sort of accurate. well, what would he know actually; the only rabbit he's familiar with is the rabbit in the moon.

as a child he felt a possible kindred with it. moon imagery and all that. but rabbits are too cute and so often associated with kindness and self-sacrifice or at least selflessness; comfort.

ugetsu learned very early on he's none of those things, so the moon remains but he'll leave the rabbits to people like shouhei.

still smiling, he continues, ]

It's good that you were able to pick the ticket up. I'm sorry I didn't wait to meet you, but this was more fun.

[ Even with that, he's not honestly sure shouhei will 'get' it but it's fine. he's feeling unusually patient around him.

at any given point, someone who knows him (the only person who knows him) would be the only person to dare tell him he's just using him because he's lonely. but ugetsu wouldn't even deny it; would just reply blandly that isn't this 'healthier' and 'safer' than his other methods, and he knows akihiko wouldn't be able to say anything back to him, smoke curling between them like everything else they aren't anymore. ugetsu is killing time but his amusement is genuine -- which might be good or bad depending who one asks.

but that's just ugetsu. ]
