Thirst Trap meme!
The Thirst Trap Meme

Set a scene, get the right angle, reveal a little thigh, and snap! A thirst trap is a sexy photo posted on social media to attract attention. It can also refer to a person considered sexy—a social-media crush. Emerging from selfie culture, the well-staged thirst trap is a provocative photo, often with a coy or confident caption, that will trap (attract) thirst (attention, in the form of comments, likes, etc.).
Because, really, what’s the point of posting if no one is going to notice?
How it works:
- Post with your character name and fandom in the subject line. Include any prefs or no-no's.
- Comment with a link to an image of your character's very own thirst trap. To be safe, label them accordingly! (i.e., NSFW or not.)
- Tag around! Respond to others! Rate them, judge them, tell them what you wanna do to them.
- Think of this as the marriage between the Hot or Not Meme and the Rate That Ass Meme.
- Have fun and be excellent to each other!

Heh. Short.]
I'll only allow it because you're working on the side of good.
[Aka the side that makes sure Kuroo gets as good as he gives.]
no subject
The side that's interesting. Which is good I guess.
[ well it's not BAD Kenma geez... ]
no subject
... he's not holding out much hope on the Akaashi front.]
Interesting, huh... I think of it as "sane," but that works.
no subject
he's quiet and stuff. ]
Both.
And anything to one up Kuroo.
[ because Kenma is a little shit in his own way and Kuroo already knows this so honestly if he's not expecting it already that's on him! ]
no subject
... aspirational. That's the word he's going to use.]
Can I ask how you two even became friends? Because I have to admit that I've always wondered.
no subject
reading tsukishima is fun too, in a different way. ]
We met when we were kids -- neighbors. It's pretty straightforward.
[ that could be mistaken for 'it's boring' or 'I don't really remember' or the like, none of which is true.
kenma remembers a lot. he remembers, for example, how kuroo was shy (even if he knows no one would believe him if he said so -- well, maybe kai or yaku) and he still sees it sometimes depending on the situation, despite how much of a hard time he gives him. kenma remembers kuroo practically vibrating with well-educated patience while they played games a little awkwardly together until kenma offered to let kuroo choose.
and the rest is history. proximity isn't a guarantee. they didn't have to stay friends; kenma didn't have to stick around during that nasty first year of volleyball at nekoma when he relearned his innate disdain for age based hierarchies. kuroo doesn't have to put up with his shit either. but they do. no one knows the other better and that's not its own excuse either, but they happen to work; so it's nice.
not that he'd say so. ]

It's one of the most personally stunting limitations of his overwhelming pessimism. One that should've dissolved long ago under the evidence provided to him by his own team and their perpetual state of flux, but - to him this is all situational necessity, nothing more.]
Ah. Figures. That's how I wound up with Yamaguchi.
no subject
one thing is obvious enough though, without questions. ]
Your 12. He's very supportive.
[ of you, is what kenma means though certainly he can spy a soft heart with his eyes closed and knows that extends to the team too. 12 clearly wants to do well; is driven by something. who knows what. ]
no subject
I'm pretty sure he swore a blood oath to me behind my back.
I bullied a bunch of his bullies for being lame enough to pick him as a target when we were kids and he decided that was standing up for him.
[Thaaaaaat is technically true but also reeks of lies by omission, Tsukki.]
no subject
He seems like he'd be squeamish around blood. Is he not?
[ taking the first part literally? taking the first part literally. ]
I wonder if there's a specific word for a bully of bullies.
[ granted, he knows most people would just call that 'hero' even in the ordinary every-day sense. but kenma likes the idea that there's differences in how people stand up for others and they're not all nice.
it's just stupid to think things are that cut and dry. if they were, life would be a lot simpler.
blander too. ]
no subject
Hmm, I like to think of myself as ambitious. Never settle for the low-hanging fruit.
no subject
That's one way to look at it.
[ pause. two seconds later... ]
I feel like low-hanging fruit would be too much of a hassle for you to reach anyway.
no subject
[Yes, the height jokes are, paradoxically, the ultimate low-hanging fruit and Kenma left himself open for that.]
no subject
[ he is Prepared, as the lazy ones must be; if they're also smart lazy ones~ ]
no subject
Neither Kenma nor Tsukishima is that person, unfortunately. Tsukishima hates putting too fine a point on good feelings in case that jinxes them, and he's loath to ask more of them than they offer unprompted. He's just going to enjoy this moment of camaraderie with Kenma and then, when it's over, tuck it away as a nice memory.]
Doing god's work. He'd be a tyrant without your influence.
no subject
[ kenma too finds this conversation shockingly easy and sort of fun if it had to put a particular word upon its category. 'easy' is not what he associates with the concept of talking to people, despite the fact that he's loads better at it than he used to be. maybe it comes of two people who don't, on any given day, necessarily opt-in for lax dialogue because mostly it's either tiring, boring, or just not at the top of the list of what either one of them would rather be doing. or could be doing.
he finds himself humming a soft intonation thoughtfully to himself as he none too lightly prods the subject of their conversation in his side: time to get up, you said one hour; it's been one hour; go study.
watching kuroo's more unkempt than usual bedhead, he stifles a laugh and sends tsukishima another text because while he's talking, well, why not. ]
Will you be at the practice game?
[ sort of a business inquiry? that's easy enough. and relevant. he has this vague sense that tsukishima seesaws with his opinion or commitment towards volleyball, and while kenma can admit he's wrong when he's wrong, he doesn't think that read is off. maybe out of date though? perhaps he's fine now. ]
no subject
Tsukishima suddenly feels stupid and jittery and has no idea why. Kenma didn't ask him on a date or anything, and even if he did, why would that cause butterflies? He'd just have to turn down kind of a nice guy and ruin several friendships and possible friendships. It'd be grounds for feeling sick to his stomach, not...
... giddy? Is this just because making a friend of Kenma was so easy?]
Yeah. Now that I'm getting Noticed I doubt I'll get away with skipping out on anything ever again.
You?
no subject
sometimes he surprises himself. now might actually qualify as he realizes he could have as easily let the conversation end a line or two prior. that annoying voice that's actually his own voice in his head -- the one that worries about what others think far too much while at the same time insisting he doesn't -- qualifies that as a stupid move. but he can't take it back much like tsukishima can't become suddenly an uncommitted player when it's been witnessed he's at the very threshold of change on the upswing.
anxiously kenma's toes curl. then he sends his text thinking: well it's fine -- i just want to know who to expect.
that's all. ]
True. It's impossible, but at least you know that. Saved yourself some trouble there.
Yep. I'd rather go than never hear the end of it.
[ from you know who ]
no subject
[And that just clinched it. Now if they don't at least acknowledge each other, it'll seem rude on both their parts. Tsukishima even sounded kind of excited about it, he realizes when he reads back his words.
Well god, if nothing else, it'll be nice to have a potential safe haven of silence and sanity with his own team and the Tokyo crowd swarming together again. His brain even provides him with a cozy little mental image of he and Kenma hiding out in a stairwell somewhere, maybe splitting a pair of earbuds or maybe Tsukishima in his over-ear headphones and Kenma bent over a handheld console, Kenma's shoulder pressed against Tsukki's upper arm just enough to create a tiny patch of warmth -
- it's probably an insane thought, but that doesn't make it less pleasant.]
