Thirst Trap meme!
The Thirst Trap Meme

Set a scene, get the right angle, reveal a little thigh, and snap! A thirst trap is a sexy photo posted on social media to attract attention. It can also refer to a person considered sexy—a social-media crush. Emerging from selfie culture, the well-staged thirst trap is a provocative photo, often with a coy or confident caption, that will trap (attract) thirst (attention, in the form of comments, likes, etc.).
Because, really, what’s the point of posting if no one is going to notice?
How it works:
- Post with your character name and fandom in the subject line. Include any prefs or no-no's.
- Comment with a link to an image of your character's very own thirst trap. To be safe, label them accordingly! (i.e., NSFW or not.)
- Tag around! Respond to others! Rate them, judge them, tell them what you wanna do to them.
- Think of this as the marriage between the Hot or Not Meme and the Rate That Ass Meme.
- Have fun and be excellent to each other!
Re: kunimi akira | hq!!
[ he is well aware that's not the point. and he doesn't care. ]

Sweated out? Sweat out? Whatever
I think Iwaizumi-senpai was just mad he didn't think of doing it first
Before a first-year did and technically he had to chew me out instead of following suit
no subject
He should have been a faster thinker then.
no subject
If I tried to use a line like that...
[Just the smile he'd get from Oikawa would be enough to make his soul climb right back into his body with fear, never mind whatever falsely pleasant words he chose to cut right to Kunimi's core.]
... not even worth trying, that's all I'll say.
no subject
He's straightforward or I don't listen to him, usually.
But I mean he didn't accept it. I still had to go. He took my game.
[ the actual heathen that he is. ]
Knowing your captain, I can see how that would be true though.
no subject
I still commend your dedication to getting out of practice, successful or not
I really respect Oikawa-senpai, don't get me wrong
A lot of people don't understand his leadership style but I can't imagine playing under anyone else
He's just got one of those insincere angry smiles that'll put the fear of god in you
no subject
livestimes the ordinary luck. heh. ]Thanks. I try.
[ he RLY DO ]
I just think he's kind of funny. Not really scary or anything. Annoying kind of. But he obviously knows what he's doing.
[ oh wait. ]
in volleyball.
[ important qualifier.
and even though he won't go as far as to say it, Kenma is the sort to respect 'grinding for levels', and when he looks at Oikawa that's more or less what he sees in superlative action and results despite the lackluster terminology applied. ]
no subject
[Being annoying is a great strategy on off-days when all other skills seem to fail. Anyone who's ever seen Oikawa face off against - say, Futakuchi from Dateko can only leave the experience impressed by just how infuriating he can make a grin or a toss of his hair.
Well, if they see it from the winning side.]
All I really know about your captain is that he's pretty handsome
Am I allowed to say that to you or is it too weird for you to hear about him?
no subject
[ he's gauged that, if he's honest. but he doesn't want to be nicer than he's already been (sort of) and anyway the next text makes him draw such an expression as to end all other expressions because ... ]
I mean.
You can say that.
I look at Kuroo and see bedhead, so.
no subject
On purpose
Bad hair has no power over me
He seems to play under the team to a degree though?
In a good way, it plays up the skill of the entire team which is more impressive
It's an interesting approach
no subject
That's a fair point.
Kuroo is efficient.
I don't know if it's 'under' but we are primarily a team that prioritizes our defense, so that already keeps us on a more even level.
[ does not say: kuroo listens to me even if it's more or less true. ]
no subject
Kinda like Dateko then...
Most of our big teams around here have the whole star power thing going
Not like we're not balanced but there's that Big Famous Player
Then again how else do you get the country's attention all the way out to Miyagi heh
no subject
Not as tall.
[ the wryness. it drips amusedly. ]
Star power? I guess. It's different for the crowd that way.
[ admittedly he knows teams are prudently aware of it too; they should be. know your 'enemy' so to speak. but for the most part people have stats and when Kenma rotates his vision this way or that, maybe one is higher or lower than the other but it's nothing flashy. just factual observations. ]
It's useful for the people who are going to want to go pro.
[ because it's not like he hasn't thought of it. he just doesn't think about it A Lot. ]
no subject
They're not as scary to me as some people say but
They do kind of change the temperature of a room when they walk in
[Speaking of wry, Kunimi's not as heavy on the sarcasm as some might expect from his usual expression, but he picks it up in certain company:]
You say that like you're not one of the pro hopefuls
[Definitely heavy on the implied deadpan]
no subject
[ it's the first thing he thinks of these days frankly and it's true, though also true: ]
So do I.
[ because it's boring to watch people strive for improvement and not attain it but it's a whole other thing to watch people continuously grow. maybe in the future kenma would like to do something that deals with that sort of pathway -- more like a guide or a patron than a player. who knows~
for now it's good to watch and absorb. evolve. ]
Yeah definitely my dream: sweat out my soul for another X number of years after the special monotony of high school. Mhmm.
no subject
Kunimi's not exactly effusive or anything but Kenma definitely would've gotten a laugh out of him in person with "the special monotony of high school." This guy's not bad.]
Shouyo?
[Funny thing about Hinata - among teams local to Miyagi prefecture, he's not even most commonly known by his family name, never mind his given. It's mostly some variation of demon/monster, shrimp, or just "that #10" without even clarifying the team. Tone says a lot more than actual name used when mentioning him.]
no subject
Karasuno's 10. Hinata Shouyo.
[ he's no clairvoyant but it doesn't hurt to make sure even peers know his name. because his number will change, inevitably the higher and different directions in which he flies, but the name will stay. ]
no subject
[Even over text, the pause that follows is uncomfortably long. Kunimi is especially unqualified to say anything nice about Hinata, given that he's attached to whatever sea change turned Kageyama into a decent team player and Kunimi still has ambivalent feelings about that. So what does that leave - Hinata's a rival, an anomaly in the sport, not an especially good player aside from his freakish speed and jumping ability, the kind of annoyance that also dominates a room the moment it enters...
Oh wait, that's something to talk about, isn't it?]
Are you two friends?
[Because that's the most absurd thing Kunimi's heard all day but it's still early.]
no subject
[ not yes or no and also not helpful kenma! but then again he's not trying to be helpful; he just texts back reflexively because it's true and he doubts even the most ambivalent of sorts can argue that with full verity. because shouyo is working to change himself but his team is changing both around and with him too and it's not the same as saying 'hinata is the reason'; that would be both disrespectful and disregarding of the agency it takes to be an individual in a high-offense team like karasuno. but it is fair to say your environment can have some effect; and your environment is your gym, sure, your school sure with the weight perhaps of accolades and a big capital JAPAN across your chest, but it's also just...your teammates.
kenma thinks of kuroo briefly then rolls over and adds, ]
I met him on the street initially, which was funny.
no subject
Eh? How'd that happen?
no subject
We had a practice game that day, which is why we were in the same area in the first place. But he didn't realize I was from Nekoma until later when we actually met for it.
[ your VOLLEYBALL shoes kenma. specifically. but he kind of thinks that's a given. as to shouyo being like a force of nature, that is very apt and while certain things like hurricanes and earthquakes are to be avoided at all costs, something like a meteor shower where you've got to be fast and sharp to catch everything you can, well, that's interesting; one might even call it fun. and maybe he wouldn't admit it so plainly if it wasn't shouyo, but it is; so he does. ]
no subject
[Like a meet-cute from a romantic comedy, he doesn't add, even though he has to admit the mental picture is pretty adorable.]
Karasuno are a weird bunch
Not always bad-weird but definitely always weird
A group of them threatened my friend and one of our senpais on our campus once, who does that?
no subject
[ but something about the idea is charming to him, which surprises him most of all. hm. he thinks shouyo would like that too but maybe too much; his volume capacity is just...So Much when he's excited...maybe he'll keep it to himself. ]
Always weird. Never boring.
Threatened to do what? Out-handshake them?
[ personal observational experience? personal observational experience. ]
no subject
[Yes, Kenma definitely got a very different first (second, after Hinata?) impression of them than poor Yahaba and Kindaichi did. The joke doesn't even land on Kunimi's end because Kindaichi said their captain seemed long-suffering and exasperated, not falsely polite.
The many many faces of Sawamura Daichi.]
Not according to them
It was the delinquent looking one and the megane
Tsukishima?
And a couple of others trying to "scare the little elites" or whatever
I've always suspected that Yahaba-senpai said something dumb to set them off
But he denies it
no subject
[ numbers are everything. ]
They're probably all at fault. They get rowdy with very little provocation -- and sometimes they don't even need that, but to me when someone denies stuff like that, they usually did it.
[ hmmm. delinquent. so probably 5 -- tanaka. or maybe 4 -- nishinoya? and obviously tsukishima, which doesn't surprise kenma in the least. it even makes him snicker briefly. some aspects of karasuno are predictable and those he mostly ignores in favor of the less-so. ]
