The Good / Bad Pairing Meme



Attraction is a strange beast. It's hard to pinpoint just why you may want to shag that particular person...or, even worse, why you're in love with them! And can't that be bad enough when the two of you are, but what about when you're completely different? Or maybe you're not even on the side! You're a superhero (or at least on the side of good), he or she's a super villain... How would your relationship pan out if things were like that?

Okay, it may not be as dramatic as that. You two could just be the "good" guy/girl in school, the goody two shoes, who's fallen in love with the "bad" boy/girl, leather jacket and all. Whatever the case may be, things won't be easy.

How To Play
- Comment with your character, putting the standard information somewhere in it. You also may want to specify your preferences or where your character would fall for each set of prompts. Some characters may be different things for each: ie, someone like Dean Winchester would probably be a traditional "bad boy" in the first sit, but a hero in the second.
- Tag others! Feel free to use the RNG. Roll twice. First number chooses the prompt set, second the prompt number.
- Have fun and be respectful to others.

1) Every Good Girl Loves a Bad Boy
1. Summer Lovin', Happened So Fast: One of you is straight laced, while the other walks on the wild side (interpret that as loosely as you'd like). Somehow, though, you've come together.
2. Daddy Don't Approve: Your friends or family don't like your partner.
3. Be My Lover but Don't Be My Friend: You're just in it for the sex.
4. Uptown Girl: There's more than just "good" and "bad" at play, here; there's also class differences.
5. Ashamed to Be Seen: You care about this person, but you're rep's more important.

1. Love or Hate at First Sight: Pretty self explanatory. This baddie/good guy is a little different than the rest.
2. Got to Have You: The good party's been kidnapped by the bad, for some reason. Is it love, lust, annoyance? Who knows?
3. Stockholm Syndrome: You're the one who's been kidnapped or hurt, but you're falling in lovelust with your captor.
4. Reverse Stockholm Syndrome: You're the kidnapper, but you're falling in love/lust with your charge.
5. Unrequited Love: One of you cares for the other, but it's not returned.
6. Purification: Through the power of love, the bad guy has been won over and changed affiliations!
7. Corruption: Through the power of lust and manipulation, the good guy has fallen in order to be with the other person.
8. The BatCat Scenario: You've both decided to stay on your own sides, but whenever you meet, there's enough UST to power a small city.
9. Bad End: One or both of you have been killed or hurt by your affair.

[cloud also knows that he can't exactly do it all by himself, not without his friends. even though sephiroth's intent is on cloud alone, the blond understands that he needs the strength of the others to give him the power he needs to overcome the threat the silver-haired SOLDIER poses. the sharp cut on his shoulder is proof of that, and although nothing that a heal materia or potion can't heal in time, it's enough to make cloud falter.]

[it's enough to give a chance for sephiroth to envelope cloud in a whirl of black wings before he can take notice of what is happening. he hears them, the others, calling his name—a distortion in sound—before there's nothing but silence left in the darkness around him.]

[that is, until light starts filtering through the darkness, and the mold of black feathers is removed entirely from him. to say that cloud is alarmed would be an understatement, but he keeps that concern boiling just under the surface, furtive eyes looking about him for clues or an answer to what happened. this place... is not where he had been before, fighting sephiroth; rather, the scene before him teems with life, and yet is so devoid of everything. cloud's on the ground, his wounded arm holding tight onto the hilt of the buster sword which lies flat, his left hand covering his right shoulder as blood seeps through his gloved fingers.]

The multiverse is a strange thing that has replaced his messy and slowly budding relationship with Jason with this brand new one—snarkier, meaner, darker. There’s a line to walk with this new Jason, and Dick isn’t quite sure how to find it.

Despite that, the cloak of night brings comfort and space. He finds Jason on the rooftop of the tower, lighting up a cigarette. The city lights paint him in colour. Taller, broader, filled in nicely. Dick always knew Jason would be tall. ]

[ He's going to do it. He's going to sneak out to the festival.

There have been criers announcing it for weeks now, up and down the street in the mornings, crowing about all the games, and shows, and fire dancers, and tarot card readers that would be there. Keegan's never had his fortune read. He's never even seen tarot cards before! Though not a morning person in the least, he's still been rolling out of bed a little after dawn just to sit at the window to hear the elaborate, whimsical dramatizations of just how wonderful the festival would be. It was a bittersweet experience, of course. As the heir to the House of Rosznar, he could only go where he was told to go — and as the greatest disgrace his father has ever known, he is not told to go much of anywhere that would allow him to be seen in public. The loneliness feels even more acute when he hears how much of the world is passing him by.

It was near the end of the week when the idea took hold. What started as a small, wistful inkling of nothing grew each time he saw the jugglers and dancers promoting in the morning. It's running for a week, but he doesn't need a week there, right? He could just get... one day. Half a day, even. The servants used to check in when he was younger, but now they barely stop by except to bring him dinner. So if he's back before dinner, then no one would know, right? It would be like he never left.

He starts planning right away, counting down the days until opening. A few times a day he works through his route: down the servants' stairwell, looping back around through the pantry, then out through the stables and down the back stairs to the street. It takes a little doing, but he does get together more "normal" looking clothes: not servant gear, mind you, but not so pompous as what the nobility is expected to wear. The night before he tries it all on, standing in front of the mirror and tying his hair up and back from his eyes. For a few minutes he stands there, marveling at the unfamiliar face before him. He looks so different like this. Like someone else. It's the least he's ever shied away from his reflection in his life.

It's barely dawn when he rolls out of bed, hurriedly dressing and following his route down and out of the estate into the city streets, his heart hammering in his chest all the way. Despite visions of being caught and dragged back inside under lock and key, he sees not a soul on his way out. Anxiety turns into giddy excitement the moment his home is out of sight. He did it. He's out, he's alone, and he's going to his first festival in all of his 23 years. Almost shaking with excitement, he wipes his sweaty palms on his slacks and makes his way to the fairgrounds, the sound of music and laughter helping to guide him.

When it does come into sight, it's more dazzling than he'd even imagined. There are tents, and stages, and stalls, and vendors; there are wild, majestic animals and beautiful, talented performers everywhere he turns. The sun has risen, a chill still hanging in the air as Keegan watches his breath escape as steam into the morning air. Already there are so many people; the workers must have been up all night getting things ready. In his opinion, it was worth it. When the crier announces that the festival has officially begun, Keegan can hardly contain his excitement, moving in with the crowd as they filter onto the grounds. The festival starts strong with a stage show, full of acrobats and fire eaters, tamed monsters and magicians of the highest caliber. He watches with rapt attention, lost in the magic of the elaborate display. When that concludes he moves to the vendors, less to buy and more to see what exotic fare they have to offer — though he does get himself some carnival food when his growling stomach reminds him he skipped breakfast. By mid-morning he's already seen more than he could have imagined, dizzy with the delight of it all.

One thing is still missing, however: he has yet to find a fortune teller. They did say they had them, didn't they? Not that everything isn't lovely, but he was so looking forward to a mysterious tent filled with smoke and incense, with a shriveled and enigmatic old woman hunched over tarot cards and a crystal ball for her to peer into the future. (At least, that's what he pictures it must be like.) Determined now, he begins his search in earnest, pushing back his hood and peering above and around the crowd for the barest hint of mystical wonder. ]
