[...that's awesome, is what that is. This time, he doesn't pull back straight away, but puts a hand gently on her waist. His touch is light, hesitant - if you don't want this, that's okay - but it's clear he very much does want it.]

[She pauses at that, because--this is probably really sad, but she wasn't expecting that, wasn't expecting him not to just press on, but to make sure this was what she wanted. Never mind that she'd started it, he still wanted to make sure.

Her hand moves to cover his, to press it more firmly against her waist, to tell him that yes, it's okay. And to underscore that to show him that yes, she wants this, she's sure, she reaches up and wraps her arms loosely around his neck, renewing the kiss softly. It's fine, it's just fine, this is what she wants.]

[aviophobia]

[Okay, good. He presses his hand closer to the curve of her waist, tilting his head slightly, a deepening of the kiss. His hand practically spans the whole of the small of her back, and it makes it easier to pull her closer.]

[gotbottle]

[Oh, that's nice, that's-- oh my god is that really his entire hand, the feel of it splayed across her back and pulling her closer making her breath catch for a moment. She hums softly against his mouth, turning her head the opposite direction, drawing him in even deeper.]

[aviophobia]

[He isn't sure if that little intake of breath is a good sign or a bad sign, but she's not pulling away and slapping him, so he decides to take it as a positive. His lips part slightly and he catches her lower lip between his, teasing it, to see if she's game for that.]

[gotbottle]

[Oh, she's game, if the tiny little squirm against him, accompanied by another little intake of breath, is any indication. And if he can tease, so can she; the tip of her tongue darts out, lightly following the curve of his upper lip.]

[He actually moans a little at that - he doesn't mean to, but it's a surprisingly erotic sensation. Moments later, his own tongue sneaks out to play with hers, meeting it halfway, tips brushing together.]

[She feels that moan almost as much as she hears it, the sound carried on his breath; it makes her shiver a little again, a pleased tingle rolling warmly up her body. She lets her tongue slide along his, playing a little, and then it's her turn to trap his lower lip--gently, between her teeth.]

[His hands tighten on her hips as her tongue toys with his, mischievous, and his returns the favor, not nearly as nimble as hers, but agile enough to chase after it. The trapping of his lip between her teeth gets another breath of a moan as he tries to gain entrance to her mouth again.]

[She holds his lip just a moment longer, enough time to draw her tongue across it before she releases it. She parts her lips at once, letting his tongue in, pressing her body even closer to his.

It occurs to her that she's pretty much making out with him in the middle of a crowded party.

It further occurs to her she doesn't give a damn.]

[Yeah, they're definitely making out, but to be fair, it's just after midnight on New Year's Eve (Day, now) and everyone else is drunk and making out with someone, too. At least they blend in.

Her tongue is fully engaging his now, and they parry and thrust, mimicking some sort of dance. His body is starting to react, and he knows he needs to pull back.]

[gotbottle]

[She's breathless, nearly lightheaded from all of this. Everything feels so good, his body against hers, his tongue tangling with hers, his mouth on hers, and she can feel desire pooling heated and tight low in her body.

She breaks off the kiss with a gasp, resting her forehead against his, still holding him close.]

[aviophobia]

[His own breaths come in ragged gasps, hands tight on her hips, feeling their breathing intermingling. He, too, feels dizzy, like the floor is tilting beneath his feet.]

Damn.

[gotbottle]

[She nods, but only a little; this is nice, it feels good, their heads resting together, breaths commingling. His hands are still on her too, making her really disinclined to move.]

...Yeah. Wow.

[After a moment, she leans in closer, resting against him, letting him hold her.]

[He pulls her closer, arms wrapping around her. She fits in his arms, tucked against him, and it occurs to him, as it does sometimes, how small she is. It's great to kiss her, but it's pretty damned good just to hold her, too.]

[gotbottle]

[This feels good, too. His body is warm and solid, and his arms are strong, but he holds her with care. There's something about him that makes her feel safe, and she likes it. A lot.

She closes her eyes, quietly curling into him, sliding her arms around him and holding him close in return.]

[aviophobia]

[Quietly, he murmurs into her hair:]

You wanna go?

[And then, because that sounds bad:]

I mean, not back to one of our places, necessarily. We could go eat, too.

[gotbottle]

[She hums, soft and contented, drawing back just far enough to look up at him.]

I could eat. But will anything still be open?

Though I've gotten pizzas delivered later than this. My place? I can get one delivered.

[Because, yeah, from a lot of other guys, suggesting they leave might've been presumptuous or sketchy, but she trusts him. She knows he's not asking because he expects anything.]

[aviophobia]

Sure. I could go for a pizza. Thanks.

[He turns to go, then pauses.]

You drive?

[gotbottle]

[She shakes her head.]

No, I knew I'd have a few drinks, so I took a cab over. I was planning to take one back.

[aviophobia]

Yeah, me too. Look at us, being all responsible. I'm kind of impressed.

[gotbottle]

If you're impressed now, buddy, wait 'till I order you a pizza. I have a gift for it.

Come on. Let's get outside and you can impress me by hailing us a cab.

[aviophobia]

Watch me, I'm a goddamned pro.

[They get outside and he hails a cab Like a Boss, even opens the door for Rachel and waits until she get in before he follows.]

[gotbottle]

Color me very impressed, Doctor McCoy.

[Especially that last bit, with him holding the door and letting her get in first.

She gives the driver her address. She fishes around in her bag and comes out with her phone, tapping away on the screen.]

What do you like on your pizza?

[aviophobia]

[He peers over her shoulder, watching her work.]

Sausage and green peppers. That okay?
