There's a party.

Of course there's a party. There's always a party. If it's not at the mansion, it's in Vegas, or Dubai, or on the Stark Industries private jet or wherever else Tony is. Sometimes, it's a private party of two to five people that spills out from the bedroom only to use the hotel hot tub on the patio.

This party follows the premier of some movie -- the plot of which Pepper can't follow, but Tony consulted on the giant robots -- and is full of people whose faces are often blown up larger than life on movie screens or billboards. The champagne flows freely, and Pepper stumbles in on two girls (one is a model, the other the daughter of an up and coming politician) snorting coke in the lavishly decorated restroom.

It's a party. No different from the rest of them.

Except, the next morning when Pepper wakes up with a headache -- maybe skipping dinner was a bad idea and maybe she shouldn't have accepted that glass of champagne -- in between crisp, and cool sheets that feel nothing like her own, she quickly realizes she's not alone. The mattress dips beneath the weight of another person, and she can hear steady (and definitely masculine) breaths.

Oh no.

This never happens. Pepper is usually well-composed at the parties she attends in the line of duty. Her memories from the previous night are decidedly hazy, but she remembers laughter and wide hands sliding up her hips and belly and-- Okay, yeah, she thinks she remembers her body tightening with what hazy memories, and too much champagne paints as a pretty mind-blowing orgasm.

All things considered, it's becoming increasingly clear that what she must do is slip out of the bed, find her dress, her shoes, and, oh, her underwear (Pepper's cheeks flush a light pink) and get out of here as soon as possible. Preferably before the tall, dark, and handsome stranger wakes up. She holds her breath and shifts towards the edge of the bed, hopeful that his sleep is deep enough he won't wake and make this awkward.

Maybe you were too nice sometimes.

A neighbor had invited her to a housewarming party of sorts a floor down. It definitely wasn't as small of a gathering as she initially thought. Between the bumping loud music and drinking. Not sure how long that was going to last if someone didn't complain about it. Not usually her thing, but you got coaxed by her friend for needing to have a good time as well as there being come pretty cute guys here. I mean, there definitely was, but some might have been pretty intimidated by her height if she were at their level or just taller. Makoto figured she'd cut her losses until she had gotten into a conversation with a guy there. Longer than anticipated as well and he was pretty cute as well. Time passed quickly along with some drinks that ended up with her having to help him out as he was having trouble standing. A bit buzzed herself and unable to really get a straight answer out of him to where he stayed at or if he was visiting, so she decided to just let him crash in her apartment for the night.

Somewhere in-between there had been a lot of handsy touching and groping throughout. Just needed to get him on the couch...and she did, but herself include as she just fell into it all with feverish kisses with the need to be touched more. It was all a heated blur now. Not sure where most of her clothes had got thrown around at, but she should wake him up to see if he was interested in breakfast. Yeah, that was one of the first things that came to mind when she shook him gently by the shoulder.

Well, that had been a very interesting night, at least. It's not often Cor lets himself have a deep discussion with a random stranger. But to find some odd man who seems well-versed in stars and prophecies? Color him intrigued. The fact that there was a kind of spark between them certainly didn't hurt, either, judging by how deeply his new bed partner is still sleeping.

A man of habit, it didn't bother Cor much to rise with the sun, even after indulging a bit on drinks. Which is why he's rummaging around in the kitchen, dishes clinking against each other as he pulls out what's needed for breakfast for two. If that doesn't rouse Urianger, then the familiar smell of scrambled eggs just might.
