The Bath House Meme

  1. Ritual Cleansing: Maybe you're a priestess, maybe a priest, maybe you're just dirty. Either way there's a ceremony coming up and you need cleansing. Is your partner a fellow virtuous maiden, a helpful assisstant, a runaway thief come to spoil your chastity?

  2. Healing: Maybe age is catching up with you, maybe you've been injured, maybe you just need to relax some aching muscles after a long day's work. Either way the cloudy water is filled with minerals to help heal you up.

  3. Sauna: Nothing quite beats some time in a good sauna. So these aren't exactly baths but they are certainly relaxing and included in a great many bath houses around the world. So poor some more water on those rocks, lay back, and relax.... just don't fall asleep

  4. Spa Treatment: Someone somewhere decided that stuffing one's body in a vat of mud or other various concoctions was good for you. Maybe it's for your skin, maybe it's for you health, or maybe you just like that squishy feeling between your toes.

  5. Massage: What could be better than a nice thorough massage? There's dozens of different styles, some for the more brave of heart than others, but they all guarantee one thing... to turn you into jelly beneath someone else's hands.

  6. Jacuzzi: This is not your ordinary bath, oh no. This is a swirling bubbling tub of heated bliss. Maybe it's supposed to be for healing, or maybe you're being naughty and sneaking out to the hot tub in the snow for some skinny dipping. Either way, feels great doesnt it?

  7. Open Air Baths: The plus to these baths is not so much the bath itself as it is the grand view that one can get from such a bath. Natural hot springs are very comfortable indeed and they have a tendency to be set in some of the most gorgeous scenery around.

  8. Historical Bath: Now these are the grandaddies of all public baths. They may not be number one on the sanitation scale but these are grand, decadent baths with water heated by glass roofs, massive marble pools, and golden fixtures everywhere. The other plus here is that there is any number of attendents at your beck and call to fetch you things, massage you, do all that hard work of scrubbing for you.... maybe even do a little something extra for you too.

  9. Who needs a bath?: Maybe you're too manly for a bathhouse. Or maybe you're just a cheapskate. Regardless, this is no bath this is a lake. You'd just better hope bandits don't run off with your clothes.

  10. Chose your own!: Think of something not on here? Go with it! Or if you don't want to roll just pick your poison and go with that! Just make sure you have fun!
WHAT TO DO:
  1. Post with your characters! You know the drill. Some of these will likely go into smutty territory so be sure to specify what's okay and what's not and to warn for things guys!
  2. Poke around, find a victim person to tag.
  3. Slide over to the RNG for a prompt or pick your own!
  4. ???
  5. Profit!

You're no fun, sweetheart.

[Like 'darling' wasn't bad enough.]

They don't pay me to be fun, Eames.

Such a shame, it might work to our benefit.

In what sense?

Liven the place up a bit.

Of course.

[ Which feels like a point for Eames, it's very rare that Arthur laughs. ] Glad we're on the same page then.

[Half laughs! He has to maintain some semblance of lacking any humor.]

Found anything interesting?

[He means business, Eames, not bars or strip clubs.]

Our Mark has another mistress, so that's three so far.

His wife should have hired a P.I. not us.

No, but don't you get bored of stuff like this now we've achieved it?

[Arthur shrugs. In truth? Yes, it's frustrating to play point on overpaid, overfed bankers. He misses the challenges of subsecurity, of good security in general. But that's not for him to say.]

It's a job, Eames. And it's a fast one.

I know that, but it's not as though we need the money, is it? Saito set us up with a pay-out we'll have for a good long while. We shouldn't be trailing blokes who can't keep their hands out of the cookie jar.

[Part of being a point man is knowing everything -- and being a snoop helps in that. Not that Arthur would ever admit to his own insatiable curiosity, but he can't help asking.]

Then why did you take this job?

[They didn't even really need a forger -- not really.]

[personal profile] plagiary 2012-03-04 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
That would be telling.

[personal profile] paradice 2012-03-04 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
["It" has his eyes closed, because come on. That's just silly. Eames wouldn't take a job because of him.]

Well, you're welcome.

[ Snorting. ] Why did you take this job? It's a bit beneath you.

[personal profile] paradice 2012-03-04 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[After a long moment, Arthur shrugs.] It's something to do. Japan is lovely.

[In other words, Arthur took the job because he was bored. And maybe, a tiny bit, because he missed Eames.]
