The Bath House Meme

  1. Ritual Cleansing: Maybe you're a priestess, maybe a priest, maybe you're just dirty. Either way there's a ceremony coming up and you need cleansing. Is your partner a fellow virtuous maiden, a helpful assisstant, a runaway thief come to spoil your chastity?

  2. Healing: Maybe age is catching up with you, maybe you've been injured, maybe you just need to relax some aching muscles after a long day's work. Either way the cloudy water is filled with minerals to help heal you up.

  3. Sauna: Nothing quite beats some time in a good sauna. So these aren't exactly baths but they are certainly relaxing and included in a great many bath houses around the world. So poor some more water on those rocks, lay back, and relax.... just don't fall asleep

  4. Spa Treatment: Someone somewhere decided that stuffing one's body in a vat of mud or other various concoctions was good for you. Maybe it's for your skin, maybe it's for you health, or maybe you just like that squishy feeling between your toes.

  5. Massage: What could be better than a nice thorough massage? There's dozens of different styles, some for the more brave of heart than others, but they all guarantee one thing... to turn you into jelly beneath someone else's hands.

  6. Jacuzzi: This is not your ordinary bath, oh no. This is a swirling bubbling tub of heated bliss. Maybe it's supposed to be for healing, or maybe you're being naughty and sneaking out to the hot tub in the snow for some skinny dipping. Either way, feels great doesnt it?

  7. Open Air Baths: The plus to these baths is not so much the bath itself as it is the grand view that one can get from such a bath. Natural hot springs are very comfortable indeed and they have a tendency to be set in some of the most gorgeous scenery around.

  8. Historical Bath: Now these are the grandaddies of all public baths. They may not be number one on the sanitation scale but these are grand, decadent baths with water heated by glass roofs, massive marble pools, and golden fixtures everywhere. The other plus here is that there is any number of attendents at your beck and call to fetch you things, massage you, do all that hard work of scrubbing for you.... maybe even do a little something extra for you too.

  9. Who needs a bath?: Maybe you're too manly for a bathhouse. Or maybe you're just a cheapskate. Regardless, this is no bath this is a lake. You'd just better hope bandits don't run off with your clothes.

  10. Chose your own!: Think of something not on here? Go with it! Or if you don't want to roll just pick your poison and go with that! Just make sure you have fun!
WHAT TO DO:
  1. Post with your characters! You know the drill. Some of these will likely go into smutty territory so be sure to specify what's okay and what's not and to warn for things guys!
  2. Poke around, find a victim person to tag.
  3. Slide over to the RNG for a prompt or pick your own!
  4. ???
  5. Profit!

8 if it's okay :O

[The Warden wasn't expecting anyone to be in the grand bath house (located in High Town of course) even though it was a literal hot spot for nobles to clean their troubles away. She was promised by the owner a private room after she told him who she was. Who wouldn't want the Hero of Ferelden to have the best there was too offer?

But hey, she wouldn't make a big deal if there was someone else around, so the female dwarf slides in the bath with a contented sigh, grinning at the human across from her
]

Hot water is just one of those things in life that seems to make you forget all your troubles. That and alcohol, don't you think?

it's fine :)

[At first she wasn't sure if the comment was meant to be for her. Patrons at the baths rarely spoke to Bethany unless they were requesting healing magics to be added to the waters or for a little extra steam to fill the room. She was purely background scenery. A mage let out of the Gallows for the day in order to soothe the petty trials of the nobility.

In all honesty, she would much rather have been given assignment to help the Senior Enchanter gather marsh muck for his spellcasting than pull duty in the Hightown Baths. At least then she felt like she was actually useful.

Today, it seems as though everyone has been cleared out of the baths. Everyone save the dwarven woman who grinned at her now.]

I'm not sure about the alcohol, serah. But I can heat up the water a little more for you if you would like?

Yay!

Oh? You can do that? I definitely wouldn't mind.

[Ah, so she was on duty. Still, that didn't mean she'd drop the friendly conversation.]

As for the alcohol, if I brought any in here, I'm sure no one would appreciate find a drunk dwarf afloat in one of the baths.

That's what bathing at home is for.

[She definitely doesn't know how to make a polite reply to that, so she concentrates on slipping a few fire spells under the water, mild enough that they won't boil the woman like a soup pot but with enough heat to raise the temperature another few degrees.

The surface hisses with steam and she sits back.]

There isn't anyone else here to chide you for it if you did.

[She raises a brow at the spell being cast. A mage now huh? But as far as the ex-dwarven princess was concerned, she didn't have a problem with magi as long as they presented themselves as decent and reasonable people. She wouldn't be here today if she didn't have Morrigan and Wynne in her past journeys]

Hm. I'm pretty sure Senechesal Varel would have to have a word or two with me if I did that back in Amaranthine...

Are you Fereldan? I know many of the humans fled here during the last Blight...

[It's safe enough with a templar posted right outside the door, ready to dampen any magic stronger than a simple heating spell. In Kirkwall, the Circle never took chances.]

Yes. From Lothering, actually.

[Although they moved around quite a bit before settling in that particular village. The trials of being the apostate child of another apostate.]

Senechesal Varel...the same Varel who served at Ostagar?

That's the one! He helped run Vigil's Keep too. Good man and quite serious. I'm sure the arling wouldn't be as well run without him around.
