Because sometimes, you want to play out goofy, absolutely adorable ~feelings~ no matter your character.

You don't have a crush. You're not in love. But you wish you had either of those things, because they're the lesser of all evils. Instead, you have it oh so bad. You're smitten, kitten. Why, every little thing this special person does is magic! Their looks, their personality, their smile - or lack thereof - are the most beautiful you've ever seen. And maybe they're even nice to you when you totally don't deserve it! Whether your acquaintances would describe you as "soft-hearted" or "hard-ass pain in my ass," there's hardly been one as taken as you. Just looking at them makes you weak at the knees, and you think those butterflies in your stomach may be staging a revolt.

Damn it, it's disgusting.

No matter if you're a grown-ass adult or a school kid, you'll feel...uhm, like a school kid. Of course, you probably shouldn't pull any pigtails. Instead, put those conflicting emotions to good use. Admire your object of affection from afar. Hang out with them as much as you can. Be awkward as only you can. Enjoy being in their presence or being close to them because afhhdhflfh they're so pretty and so aaaaahh you're ensnared. Be super nice to them. Dote on them because they're so darn cute. Fulfilling their every whim will get you in good!

Or be a terrible tsundere, as that's all some of you assholes know how to do. Eventually, you'll get over your denial and realize, grizzled warrior-king or megalomaniacal god or bitchy brat you are, you're feeling flushed.

HOW TO PLAY

Comment with your character, preference, and what role you'd like to play.
Cutesy, emotional, kind, or young characters might get smitten easily. But part of the fun is seeing completely stoic, inappropriate, or horrible characters get silly quickened heart beats. Of course, said stoic, inappropriate, or horrible characters getting crushed on is just as funny.
RNG for a prompt or just go nuts.

Smitten...On?: You're the one who's cast a spell, willing or unwittingly.

[There were always rumors going around a place like school. Ruggie had plenty floating around about himself. His uniform always had rolled up sleeves and pantlegs because it was a hand-me-down. He was shabby and tended to vanish right after school. The kinder rumors suggested he was working. The more unkind? Stealing and pinching things. He ignored them, mostly. The people who gossiped about that kind of stuff were just trying to feel big by picking on the little guy...]

[... or trying to make up something bad about someone way out of their league. That's kind of how he views the rumors about Ann. Isn't the reality that she's just way too cute? Honestly, she's probably out of his league, too, which is why he's never so much directly confessed as tried to become her gofer. If there was anything she was missing, Ruggie was bound to try and find it and hand it over with a cheery "Takamaki-san!"]

Here, I was at the arcade and happened to win this... it suits you a lot better than me, right?

[he says, sliding a small compact mirror across the desk. The outside casing is a bit loud, with a tiger-stripe pattern, but it does have a fancy clasp and a pretty nice mirror inside.]

[Even as a kid, Ruggie was a liar. He could be helpful and smiley but, deep down, he was doing it because there was something he wanted in return. If someone couldn't get something for him, then they weren't worth spending time with.]

[... somehow, though, that last one became the lie.]

[Sure, he'd started talking to Satori in elementary school because he had the best snacks. He would endure any amount of anime talk to get a handful of brightly colored candies. There may have once been a thought that he was an "easy target" what with the other kids calling him a monster. That all changed when he saw him play volleyball, though, because-]

[-ah, wasn't he like outstandingly cool when it came to that?! Suddenly the negative intent was gone from his interactions. He would still take snacks when offered, of course, but he'd also take notes when the other wasn't feeling well, trade pencils, all those little kid shows of friendship.]

[Fast forward to Satori's third year in high school and Ruggie's second. Even trying his hardest, there was no way Ruggie was going to get into Shiratorizawa. Instead, he went to a public school and the times they could meet were a little more limited. Sometimes he felt like he saw Satori more at games than anything else. Ruggie was a little conflicted because, well, Satori blocking was super, suuuu~per cool, but... ... he also sort of felt like he was on the same level as the cheerleaders.]

Satori~! [he waves from the stands as the court was getting cleaned up and people were starting to clear out]

[Omi as the oblivious person being smitten on because that's just the way his life is. He's kind and gentle and more than willing to chat up any of his underclassman who might happen upon him.

He's involved in the photography club, theater on the side, and he always, somehow, manages to have enough time to make homemade box lunches for all of the younger students he lives with.

Omi smiles friendly as ever as he passes Ruggie in the hallway.]

[The first couple of times Ruggie had seen Omi, he'd assumed there was something too good to be true about him. He was just that nice? All the time? There seemed like there was something off about it.]

[Either way, he was able to do some digging, and- aha! He had a reputation from high school! He was a delinquent! No wonder he was doing all that nice-guy act! Trying to turn things around with a college debut... there we go. He's solved it.]

Omi-senpai! [play it cool, ruggie, cool] Any snacks today?

[Just because he's trying to bury his past and move on with his life doesn't mean he's not a good person. He's pretty sure just about everybody has something or other they regret, but he's also not the type to go prying into other people's pasts, Ruggie.

But as long as he's not called out, he won't get particularly defensive over it.

He chuckles lightly and hands over a small box, wrapped in a handkerchief. There's two portions of chicken karaage left over from last knight.]

Are they feeding you enough?

[There was a lot of projecting going on with Ruggie's internal accusations. Maybe he just wanted some reason to justify that Omi wasn't perfect. He was hoping that would snap him out of his weird upperclassman crush.]

Huh? Yeah, but it's nowhere as good as yours. [and, well, ruggie was a bit of a glutton]

[He does still ride a motorcycle. It's not impossible to find him in a leather jacket when he's riding, though he's rarely found in one on campus.]

Maybe I should try and balance out your diet a bit. How do you feel about spring rolls?

((Maybe my dorky catte here was minding his own business, got taken to a show and was Utterly Smitten by Andrea? He's very much a sheltered dork so Andrea could absolutely pick up on him trying to 'spread his wings' so to speak and step out from the shadow of his dead brother and be his own person/be more confident with not being who everyone else seems to want him to be.))
