Scenario A: My starter!

Roland winces as he clutches at the slashes across his upper arm, given to him by the monster he'd just slain. The blood from his wound flows down his sleeve and onto his wrist and hand, finally mingling with that of the monster on the blade still clutched tight in his grip.

"I'm fine. It's... it's not as bad as it looks." He tries to give his companion a brave smile, but it quickly turns into a grimace, a hissing breath taken in through clenched teeth, as the hand gripping his arm tightens against the pain.
