Everyone loves sweet gestures—little things that remind someone that you love them, that you think of them, that you care for their general, and other things. A gesture could be made towards a friend, a family member, or some other loved one. Maybe towards a total stranger you think deserves something to make them smile.

1. LOVE NOTES ❤ Everyone loves love notes, and they don’t even have to be romantic. It could be simple as ‘have a good day at work’ or even something funny to brighten someone’s day.

2. BREAKFAST IN BED ❤ Especially on a Sunday morning or after a long, late shift at work, breakfast in bed with their favorite foods is surely the way to start the day off right.

3. PHONE CALL ❤ Who doesn’t like a phone call from someone they love, for no reason? A nice conversation can be all someone needs to have a better day or make a good day be a great one.

4. SWEET TREAT ❤ Late at night when you’re both tired from work or just general day-to-day things, something sweet from the local bakery can be just the thing you need.

8. FLOWERS ❤ From a florist or from a random patch of green, the surprise of flowers for someone you know and/or love is always welcomed! Look into their meanings to make the bouquet, big or small, become extra special.

9. RENT A MOVIE ❤ Sure, you might not like the genre of the movie, but if the other person does, then that is all that matters.

10. SLOW DANCE ❤ Middle of the living room, randomly while on a date, or maybe that is the whole purpose of the date. Slow dances are so underrated.

11. SURPRISE GETAWAY ❤ Yes, that is just what you guys need: a vacation from things, even if it’s just for a day or two and is not half way across the world. From a family vacation to a romantic spur of the moment, everyone loves going to a new place.

12. SURPRISE KISS ❤ Who doesn’t like a surprise kiss? A soft one on the cheek, a kiss being the thing to wake you up in the morning, or a big one right when you walk through the door.

13. HOLD HANDS ❤ There is nothing like holding hands. It’s a simple and intimate gesture, and if you do it the right way, it could have a whole different meaning.

14. COOK DINNER ❤ Come on, give it a go. Who cares if you’re not the best cook in the world or possibly the worst? It’s the thought that counts.

[ Life has been pretty shitty for Bev. True, Richie didn't know the full extent of what she had to live with when they were kids, but even back then he was smart enough to understand that her home life wasn't exactly paradise.

Now, after finally killing that fucking clown and beginning to regain their memories, it turns out she's married to the biggest asshole on the planet. All the guys react to this in their own ways; Ben and Bill, understandably, want to find him and beat the shit out of him. Richie's had enough experience with his own abusive exes (long story), though, to know that what Bev needs more than anything is time and space: time away from that house and those memories, and space to heal in whatever way she needs.

So he goes with her to get some things, takes her back to his condo in New York, and does what he can to help her leave that shit behind.

Today is Sunday, and he wakes up early - thanks, nightmares - so he decides to make them blueberry pancakes. The smell of them drifts through the air as he cooks, humming quietly to himself and trying to come up with things they can do that don't involve ex-husbands. ]

[ After all is said and done, all Beverly wants to do is move in with Ben and put the rest of this behind her. And she'd been about to, except he had an emergency to deal with at one of his build sites out west — and even though the rest of the Losers know she can take care of herself, none of them want her left alone and... that's okay. She's okay with that. Even with the restraining order against Tom and the divorce finalised, she does feel better having a friend with her.

So she's crashing with Richie for just a few days until Ben's back in town and it's nice, really, to kick back and do nothing. She should be working on the restructuring and rebranding of her fashion line, but that's for office hours. When she blinks awake to the smell of pancakes, her phone reminds her it's Sunday and that's all she needs to silence it from notifications for the rest of the day. She rolls out of bed, shrugs on a cardigan over her PJs, goes to brush her teeth and eventually wanders out to the kitchen on bare feet just as Richie's plating up breakfast. ]

Wow, those look great, [ she says, tying back her sleep-fluffed hair into a half ponytail. She grins, clearly teasing. ] I didn't know the diner around the corner delivered breakfast.

[ He hears her pad into the room but doesn't look up until he's sure the pancakes are safely on their plates, not wanting to drop them and have to start all over again. He's not clumsy, exactly, but sometimes he gets too excited and things end up where they're not supposed to be.

He snorts out a derisive laugh, shaking his head and passing her with a pointed look on the way to the dining table. ] Excuse me, Miss Marsh, I'll have you know I created these delicacies myself. I give you: the Trashmouth Breakfast Experience!

[ He's already set everything else out on the table: butter, syrup, a couple half-empty jars of jam he had in the fridge, and - most importantly - two large mugs filled with steaming coffee. ]

I didn't know if you wanted cream or sugar, [ he says by way of explanation, setting the plates down before gesturing to the coffee. ]

[ The Trashmouth Breakfast Experience, as it turns out, is better than any fancy New York-style brunch she's ever been to. (And she's been to a handful since living here. Lining up for over an hour, crowded into an overpriced cafe, guzzling mimosas and hurrying out the door before Tom demanded to know where she was? Not great.) And as much as she'd like to reacquaint herself with a city she's finally allowed to fully enjoy, the care that's clearly been put into this meal beats all of that.

Yeah, so she's soft about her boys. Hard not to be when they go out of their way for her like this. Beverly snags Richie for a one-armed sideways hug when he passes her, easy and familiar, still smiling. ]

I drink my coffee any way I can get it, [ comes her reply, before she drops into a seat. Black when she has no time, or can't afford to be picky. But there's cream and sugar so she goes for both because why the hell not! Treat yourself. The new Bev Marsh motto.

She takes a bracing sip of coffee, savouring the taste and the warmth leeching from the mug into her hands before she adds, more softly, ] You didn't have to do all this, Rich. I eat cereal like everybody else.

[ Richie doesn't know much about fancy brunch places, mostly because he's usually asleep when people are lining up for them. He works late, okay, don't judge him.

In any case, he wants to treat Bev the way she deserves to be treated: with kindness, respect, and lots of love, even if it's merely platonic. Richie has no doubt her asshole of an ex-husband never made her breakfast (or dinner, or anything else). So, while it might not earn him a Michelin star, Richie's going to try his best to give her something she can properly enjoy.

He smiles as he watches her taste-test the coffee, his expression growing uncharacteristically gentle for a second. Just as Bev is soft with them, so too are the other Losers with her - especially after everything they went through with It the second time. Now that they're older and have a little more control over their own lives, it's easier to show her how much they care about her. Where Ben and Bill are protective, Richie is more of a giver - he just wants to help out with whatever she needs, whether she's willing to ask for it or not. ]

Ah ah ah, [ he scolds, wagging a finger in midair as he slides into the seat across from her. ] None of that in my house. Today is about celebrating the new Bev, and the new Bev deserves nice things.

[ Lifting his own mug, he smiles at her again, his eyes warm, and says, ]
