[ Zelda may be a princess with the weight of saving the world partially on her shoulders, but at the end of the day, she's also a teenage girl. So, like many teenagers, she's prone to sleeping in. It's not uncommon for Link to be up before her, so when she awakens to find herself alone, she doesn't think too much of it. Her knight takes his guard duties very seriously, so she knows he won't be too far away.
