Mackenzie shrugs as she sips her own tea. "...Not complicated. Gaia made my people with rage, it fuels us. It powers us. Lets us change our shape." She explains, as best she can. It's hard when the other person has no frame of reference.

"Part of why I'm out here sniffing a spirit trail, you know?"

That about seals it. But what do they call them over here? He recalls, vaguely, that some 'weres can get a little tetchy about the 'W' word. "You're a shape-changer," he murmurs. He doesn't look her over again; he knows from experience he won't see anything new.

"Look at the brains on you," Mackenzie says. It's amused, more than sarcastic. She chuckles and takes another sip of her tea.

"Might be why my nose is so tetchy about your damn cigarettes. Makes it hard for me to smell shit, too."

"Knew a few werewolves. Not in London, thank you very much." He blows a smoke ring instead of apologizing. "Adapt'n survive, luv. Say I can get hands on something belonging to the bloke we're looking for. Could you hunt him down, Digby-style?"

"What's Digby style?" Mackenzie stares at John, apparently uncomprehending. She tilts her head.

"Oh yeah, there are some folks over on that side of the pond. Never met any of 'em though."

"Digby? Biggest dog in the..." He shakes his head. "Dunno why I thought they'd've gotten that arseleak of a film over here."

John looks over as soon as she said it, curious. "Do they seem..." he shrugs. "Suspicious? I'll be honest, I'm more of a city bloke."
