The fact that you're in a relationship with this person isn't public knowledge. Actually, no one knows about it except for the people involved. She always enters early in the morning, before the girl awakes, she likes to watch her in her sleep, still unbothered, still unburdened, dreams floating about her like mist and fog and brittle flakes of snow.

She always enters with a present, laying it down on the bedside table, today it's a bouquet of flowers, spring flowers, hardy in the cold, their petals are glistening from morning dew.

A long while, she sits on the floor next to Elsa's bed, waiting patiently for her to stir, gaze caressing every feature of her face, the bridge of nose, the dip of chin, the rise of cheekbones, but she doesn't touch her, doesn't kiss her. The sylph isn't here to ruin her morning rituals, only to enrich them.

Outside the door, the castle's preparing for the day to come. Servants are cleaning the room next door. Someone's yelling for more water.
