[After Geralt rescued Linhardt some years ago from bandits seeking to ransom him off to his noble parents, he never expected to see the Witcher again. What were the chances, after all, that he would have the opportunity to come across his lovely savior again, when the man was so often wandering?

As it turned out, luck was smiling down on him.

They met again in Novigrad while Lin was busy researching magic at a particularly prestigious library. Quite a few years had passed since that rescue, but Geralt looked just as gorgeous and mysterious as ever. The mage's fascination could not be quelled, and so, when he found out Geralt was on another quest of his own, he offered up his assistance in a move he would normally have saved for only his closest of friends.

From that point on, Lin ended up at Geralt's side quite often. Something powerful had started developing between them, despite the Witcher's largely guarded and quiet demeanor and his own talkative and inquisitive one. Or maybe their differences complemented each other in a way that wouldn't have seemed readily obvious.

Either way, Lin was thoroughly enjoying whatever time he was able to spend with Geralt, especially if it didn't involve actively fighting something wretched and monstrous.

They found themselves at a tavern in a small village one pleasant evening; a welcome respite from a long few days of travel. Lin generally remained oblivious to the nasty looks or stares Geralt tended to receive in places like this, and was simply happy to settle down at a table across from him with a relieved sigh. His clothing was dirty, he could use a bath, and the idea of something proper to eat and drink was more than a bit alluring. This place would hopefully provide just what they both needed.]

I feel like I could sleep for a week straight. It's good to take a rest now and then, isn't it?
