[Tim might take being kidnapped for granted as part of his life a little too much. But then, he's not only a rich kid who's been kidnapped and held for ransom - at least once on purpose of course, to catch the gang - but he's also been kidnapped or just plain captured as Robin. It's a pretty obvious thing to do to get to Batman, kidnap the sidekick, the weak point. Most of the time, they're just letting someone dangerous into their base, underestimating him and giving him an opportunity to take them down from the outside.

Okay, so it hasn't always worked like that, but enough of the time that he's not going to panic immediately when he finds himself kidnapped again. He keeps his eyes closed as he wakes up, feeling groggy and trying to work out just how bad a situation he's in - oh, wait. He can feel a blindfold over his eyes, so there's no point keeping them closed, but he still keeps his head down as if he's still unconscious.

The last thing he remembers is getting done with his Wayne Enterprises meetings for the day, and heading down to the parking garage - that's where he was taken by surprise, grabbed from behind and chloroformed, he recognised the smell of it even as he lost consciousness. That explains why he's still in his suit, soft and completely unarmored civilian clothing, and he curses inside his head. It was just an ordinary day of work, he didn't wear his uniform under his clothes - and maybe that's a good thing now, the kidnapper(s?) have no chance of discovering his identity. But he's not wearing a tracer, either, so he'll have to get himself out of this.

The thin fabric of his suit and shirt also make it easy to tell that he's been tied to a chair, the ropes binding his arms behind him and his legs spread. It's... tight, and strangely thorough as well, with ropes crossing his chest and running between his legs, but he'll work that out later. Once he can see, preferably move, and maybe even talk, because that's definitely a ball gag forcing his mouth open.

Yeah, he's in trouble. And he's got to be careful how he gets out of it... now he's starting to feel a little helpless and vulnerable, but he's still not panicking.]

[ This is by far one of the weirdest things they've dealt with in awhile.

The reports had been unusual enough. From witness accounts the afflicted literally regress, right down to their physical appearance, to the person they once were. The results have been six murders and four suicides in three weeks, more than enough for them to move in and check things out. The research John has found has lead to only one possibility: Seere, a prince of Hell with a specialty in robbery, recovery of the lost — and control over time. Bit odd to see him causing such mischief, though; from what he can tell, this is one demon that actually tends to keep his nose clean. Bit of a priss, actually, if what he's reading is correct... So why the change? Either something made him change his tune or some particularly crafty conjurer has the demon by the bollocks, and John has been wagering on the latter.

It's that suspicion that's had John hunting through his growing collection of occult books and bookmarked websites for a way to break the binding spell and made him send Cas off to search the town... but he's starting to wonder what's taking so long. It's been what, twenty minutes? Normally it's a few seconds, perhaps a few minutes if he's really being thorough, and John specifically told him to come straight back and not make a move on whoever may be behind this no matter what he found. Needless to say, the delay is starting to worry him. With a sigh he leans back in the decidedly uncomfortable motel armchair, journal of notes and sketches and references still laid open in his lap.
