((How about roughly the same idea, but this time the first time Harley meets Faye it's Faye as a nameless hero saving her? Harley being a little impulsive and grabby with a teen hero sounds fun.))
Sometimes, Young Harleen Quinzel was just too mouthy for her own good.
She reflected on this as she was dragged out of a Mini-mart by a large muscular man calling himself Mammoth while a short guy in some kind of robotic spider suit skittered behind him with bags of ill gotten junk food and money.
"Lemme go you overactive pituitary gland you! Those steroids may make you look big and scary but I bet your weenier's smaller then the a roll of dimes you- OW!"
Mammoth apparently was getting irritated with the hostage he had chosen because he whacked her head on the ground casually before lumbering into the back of a truck that had been waiting for them. As the engine roared to life and sped down the road Harleen considered for a moment that maybe she had just hid in the bathroom instead of confronting the super powered petty crooks.
But how many times in her life could she say she had a front row seat to real criminal activity!?
"Lemme ask you baldy, doesn't it feel kind of low brow to be robbing the local gas-n-gulp? You two look like actual super villains!"
"Shut up!" He hissed back as the truck suddenly jerked and almost sent the three of them crashing around in the back.
It was a few minutes into the getaway before anything of note happened. There was a thump on the roof of the truck. However even when one of them looked they would find nothing. It could easily be written off as a rock or something hitting the top of the truck.
As things settled down again Harley would be able to see from her perspective a black viscous-looking fluid snaking its way through a crack in the truck and behind Mammoth. Then rising from it came a featureless humanoid figure of the same color. It almost looked like someone in one of those zentai suits except it was too perfect and smooth.
Despite not having a mouth she spoke up "Robbing a convenience store and kidnapping a student. You guys are real winners at this whole villain thing, huh?" Before Mammoth can react her hand reaches out and it snaked around his body and pulls him to the ground. Even with a big guy like that she seems able to exert the strength needed to bring him down.
Harleen saw the figure before either of the villains did and after a moment of confusion her face twisted into one of almost manic glee. She didn't know what this thing was, but it was clearly hear for her.
When the musclehead was thrown to the ground it was enough for Harleen to slip free. Meanwhile the inventor let out a string of very rude curse words and skittered towards the mysterious hero trying to jab her with one of his legs which was sparking electricity.
Harleen didn't even realize she was moving until she had her arms around his neck and was dragging him from his spider mech "Pick on someone your own size shorty!!!" She snarled with surprising ferocity.
Meanwhile all this struggling was making the back of the truck shake which told the driver something was wrong. There was a slight lurch as things started to slow down.
Faye was surprised to see the civilian she saved, who she now very much realized was a girl she had seen in her new school, had the courage to attack the other villain. It gave her the seconds she needed to bring these two down.
She launched a punch arms stretching to impact each of the villains on the side of the head and knock them out. It'd be impossible to tell but she had learned to apply the right kind of pressure to knock villains out without cracking their skulls.
Hearing someone coming she glanced around trying to figure out what to do. Without the element of surprise they might be in trouble. At the very least the blonde girl might get hurt and she couldn't have that.
In the end she walks up to Harley and says "I need you to be quiet for me. We're gonna get the drop on this guy."
She grabs Harleen's shoulders and as she did Harleen would see the girl's body turn into goop again "Sorry this is probably goign to feel weird." She fully encased Harleen, but there would still be air coming through. Harleen would be forced into curling up into a ball as Faye made her exterior look like one of the bags of ill-gotten goods.
She'd give Harleen a peephole to view out and see the action. When the driver opened up the door and would be surprised to see his buddies knocked out and no one else in the back she'd suddenly lash out a tendril coming off of her and curling around the guy's leg and pull him to the ground.
Harleen nodded and pantomimed zipping her lips, but then with wide eyes she found herself scooped up into a bag made of...flesh? and then not flesh. It was weird and she was so confused by how it felt that she was easily compacted into a ball of limbs and blond hair.
Her first instinct was to struggle but she bit her lip to remind herself not to move and focused on breathing deep and slow, peering out the peep hole in wonder. Was she really inside the superhero? Then suddenly the other crook was being dragged to the ground by tendrils and Harley could barely contain her glee. This woman was AMAZING!
Harleen is blushing all the way to her ears, glasses crooked with an equally crooked grin on her face looking up at Faye like she's Wonder Woman. In a voice of awe and reverence she answers "I-I'm good...but who are you?"
As awestruck as she is, she can't keep her hands to herself and has taken one of the featureless woman's hands is holding it securely. She's not letting this new amazing person go.
Red appears on the featureless cheeks as the girl looked at her like that.
At the question she stutters "U-um well... okay I'm going to level with you, I'm new at this and haven't come up with a hero name yet."
After a pause as she tried to collect herself she said "Come on let's get you out of here. No reason you need to deal with the police just because these idiots kidnapped you." Maybe she'd feel differently in a place like Metropolis, but the police here were good for nothing.
She lead Harleen out of the truck before curling an arm around her "You're not afraid of heights, are you?" As long as Harleen didn't seem put-off by the idea of heights Faye would leap high into the air with surprising strength. A few jumps like this and she's gotten some distance from the crime scene and managed to get herself and Harleen onto the roof of a mall.
She let go of Harleen "There this should be an okay place for you to walk home from or catch a bus or something. As long as you're okay to walk home?"
Harleen shook her head that she wasn't afraid of heights and started giggling profusely as the super woman sprang into the air making them soar through the night sky. Her stomach was doing flip flops and her face was bright red, but she had the biggest grin plastered onto her face as she looked up in wonder and awe at Faye's face.
"Y-you're amazing." she mumbled still in a daze, reaching up to stroke at her feature less face with trembling fingertips.
"I'm Harleen." She added with a nervous giggle. "I'll help you think up a name if you want? Or you could tell me your um...regular name. I promise I won't tell."
A blush spreads basically right from where Harleen touched her face. Maybe she should have expected some adoration, but she wasn't prepared for it at all. Especially from someone her own age.
She settles down and shakes her head at the mention of telling Harleen her real name "No way can I tell you my real name. I mean that's just as much for your safety as mine." and she wouldn't want to put someone else in danger.
"but I guess it wouldn't hurt to come up with my hero name with you. Consider it a perk for being the first person I've officially saved." She takes a seat.
"I guess I should start with my powers. I'm actually a shapeshifter so I can look like anything I want to. Something simple like this, objects, and even other people." She figured it didn't hurt to explain her powers. It's not like there was an obvious weakness with that.
To emphasize her point she increases her height by a few inches and changes her build to be more muscular-looking.
Harleen pouts a little at the tradition of not sharing her real name but the chance to help name her new idol is too much to ignore. She listens intently nodding and then gasps watching Faye shift and grow.
"T-that...is really hot." She blurts out and then squeaks covering her mouth with both hands. "I mean...it is but...I mean...sorry I'm just...and you're all like..." She reaches out to run her fingers along the newly sprouted ab muscles. "Oh my!~"
"Wha-?!" Suddenly that blush was all over her body practically turning the featureless body red. She hadn't been expecting that to be blurted out.
Then Harleen reaches out and touches her. Faye's concentration drops and her head briefly morphs into a face that might be familiar to Harleen. The face of that new student who happened to come to their city not more than a couple weeks ago.
If that didn't give it away Faye's outburst would, "Crap!" she quickly changes herself to that featureless form. Maybe Harleen wouldn't recognize her? She could only hope.
Harleen blinked a few times and then adjusted her glasses with her free hand before grinning broadly. Oh yes...she recognized that face.
"So you can turn into anything, but if you get flustered or freak out you change back to your normal form?" She pressed curiously and literally as she leaned into the taller girl looking up at her with adoring blue eyes, chest to chest as best she could with her budding features.
Faye really tried to keep her cool, but Harleen wasn't playing fair! She was cute and up close and personal. After a few strained minutes of trying to keep the form as it threatened to come undone it finally drops completely. Leaving Faye there, thankfully dressed, but very much herself.
She pouts "You really play unfair Harleen. Yeah it takes concentration to keep my form consistent. My eye color changes a bunch without me really meaning it to."
Harleen gasped as her true identity is revealed and throws her arms around the girl squeezing her excitedly as if they were close enough friends for such clingy hugs.
"I swear I won't tell a soul. But you gotta be my friend! I wanna help you with your superhero stuff even if that just means being someone you can share your secret with. Please please please please pleeeeease?" She was bouncing up and down and clinging tight sharing her body heat and looking deep into those eyes hoping to catch a flicker or more of color change.
Faye can't help but laugh. Harleen was a pretty funny girl, Faye is beginning not to mind that this girl found out her secret.
"Flux isn't bad, I was also thinking Stranger maybe? Since I can make myself look like a total stranger?" She decided to show off a bit by turning into Harley right before her eyes. her clothes were a little ill-fitting as a result, but not dramatically so.
Haleen gasped in shock and then burst out into laughter again.
"Oh you are the COOLEST girl ever! Oh my god..." She then looked more concerned and circled Faye a few times. "Oh my god is that how I look? I'm flatter then I thought I was! And is that my butt? Well I guess that explains a few things."
"Hey I think you look cute! Besides a big chest isn't everything." She decided to see if she could turn things on Harleen a little considering the other girl had embarrassed her earlier.
She shifted back to herself and then expanded her modest bust to about the limit of how big she could make it without it be cartoonish. Which is to say her shirt was now very much straining.
"Unless you like them big?" She was just teasing to hopefully get a rise out of her.
But before Harley could finish that thought Faye was shifting again and Harleen's eyes went wide.
"O-oh...ohgosh..."
Her face burning red and mouth hanging open, if Faye was hoping to turn the tables she had completely spun them around leaving Harley in the most flustered spot. She couldn't take her eyes off them.
Faye laughs at that reaction. She walks up to Harleen nice and slowly. A smirk on her face before she... chest bumps Harleen and sends her falling onto her butt.
She sticks out her tongue before changing back to normal.
"Well I guess I found your super weakness," she teased.
She offered her hand out to Harley with a smile "I guess I should tell you my name properly. My name's Faye Artemis."
Harleen can't help herself, eyes following those bounces until even her head is nodding in motion with them, and then she's sprawled out on her butt giggling and blushing. She accepts the hand and bounces back to her feet.
"Harleen Quinzel! At ya service you big bootyful heroine you! Take me back to your lair and tell me all about your secret origins!"
She was SO into this already! Her heart was racing, eyes wide and grinning from ear to ear! She couldn't even describe how tingly she felt...wait this sounded like love. Was this love?!
