SHAME YOUR CHARACTER! the meme

Familiar with the concept of 'pet shaming'? Basically, your pet does something bad, you give them a sign, and take a picture so the whole world knows their sins. Google has many examples. Now. We do this for our characters.
○ Post with your character! Name and Canon in the header.
○ DO NOT LEAVE YOUR COMMENT BLANK. BLANK COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED.
○ A magical invisible fairy has placed a shame sign on your character of whatever terrible (or terribly embarrassing) thing your character is guilty of. Write what this sign says in the comment section.
○ Tag out! Make a new friend! And by make a new friend I mean make fun of them!

If you have any suggestions for what to do in the meantime, I am of course open to it. I...don't really know what to do in times like these. Mainly, I process the files I haven't already.

Get coffee. It's a good excuse to people-watch -- not that it'll work for you but I'm thirsty, so. [ She'll be his excuse. She'll just yank that sign off him before heading the charge. ]

Do you people-watch often?
no subject
It's most of what I do. [ She's exaggerating. A little. ]

You don't have any friends? Or family?
[His tone is curious, but also somewhat concerned. Humans are very social. He's used to Hank isolating himself. But it seems the only humans he ever meets are ones in similar situations. It's not healthy for them, though they hate to hear that. Not that he can really comment on the matter.]

She falls into step beside him, staring straight ahead. ]
I have an assistant. [ And a sister, which she doesn't advertise for her sake. ] And... [ Defenders? Colleagues she'll never call on or offer to work with again? A dead lawyer? ] contacts.

Yes. And I have a partner whom I was assigned to investigate cases with. But that relationship is also very different.
[He and Hank clash often. It's better than it was when he was first assigned to the DPD and he does consider Hank a mentor or guide in many situations, but the term 'friend' is subjective and calling him a father figure is both forward and likely not what Hank wants to hear given his history. Yet like Jessica...that's his only interaction on an average day. And he can detect traces of alcohol on her person.]
May I ask why?
no subject
A lot of reasons. Including the "I'm an asshole" one. [ There's never a cafe too far off in a city this big. She gestures to the other side of the street, where one is nestled on the corner, and comes to a stop at the crosswalk. ] Who's your partner?

[Reed struck him in the breakroom for refusing to get him a coffee. Fowler still refers to him as an 'it.' And Hank...is still struggling with alcoholism and a bad temper when he's had too much. There haven't been more incidents with guns, but Connor is now careful to avoid those. Yet he will admit Hank has made progress.]
Lt. Hank Anderson. He's late today. It's...been a bad week. For him personally.

Jess briefly trawls her memories while they wait for the walk signal. ] Jimmy Buffett? [ Her name for Hank, in deference to his fascinatingly awful shirts. ] Thanks for telling me. I'll avoid Jimmy's. [ bar. Jimmy should be pleased. ]
no subject
Why would we have to avoid anything? I wasn't aware you walked into a bar for coffee unless you were already inebriated.
[Not that he would know. While there's some things he'll never experience, there's some he's sure he doesn't want to. Witnessing Hank in an incoherent, messy state at times just serves to make him...sad. He thinks. There's no other description for it.]

[Dragging Hank out of bars isn't uncommon. It's become something of a routine. He only wishes it were less common and make a note to do the same for Jessica if she's ever in such trouble. Bars often have closing hours. And inebriated women are unfortunately preyed upon.]
Can I ask you a sensitive question?
no subject
Go nuts. [ How much more personal can it get than "don't you have any friends?" Jess nods to the crossing light as it bids them to walk and resumes stride toward the coffee shop. ]

[He doesn't take it personally - he's used to this sort of treatment. But it is highly confusing. Humans are confusing. Namely when they say one thing and do another.]

Hypothetically speaking...as a deviant, I would assume I have more to hide than you. I can't expect you to want to share anything of that nature. If either of us have done anything at all.
no subject
Say that's true and I've got most of the power here: Why are you doing this? [ Why tell her anything? ]
no subject
[Connor doesn't know what else to tell her. The fact will always remain that while Markus didn't see the gun, North did. As did several androids and that makes Jericho wary of him. It makes him wary of himself. As for humans, they still view him as an android. It's a lonely existence, he supposes. But he doesn't begrudge it either.]
Of course, I wouldn't dream of being your friend...after all, you definitely don't want any of those.
[There's a light, sarcastic edge to his tone. Possibly even teasing as he glances at her out of the corner of his eye, somewhat playful.]
no subject
[ She volleys his sarcasm back with a soft-edged smirk as she grabs the cafe door handle and pulls it open. Then she holds it there, allowing him to enter first. It's both a jab at their perceived roles as android and human, and a measure to avoid so-called chivalry, in case he's programmed for that. ]
