Have you ever wanted to make sure everyone knew what was yours, so they'd keep their hands off? Well, if you haven't before, you're feeling that now, and those emotions are not towards a possession. They're towards a person you want to claim, no matter if your personality is territorial or not. Or maybe you're the one wanting to be claimed. Either way, this will end in sex that's either public, running a high risk of discovery and publicity, or that leaves marks

There are as many reasons why this desire has cropped up as the imagination allows: frustration, sexual tension, disbelief of others that you're a couple, anger at others trying to steal what's yours, punishment or to remind someone they're yours, a personality-altering gas, hormones, heat, a mutual kink, for fun, for showing the world how much you love them, or even in order to save them and show some despots that this person is taken because better you than anyone else. How serious the "claiming" instinct also depends on entirely upon what you really want.

Remember, wanting something to be your own isn't bad.

Comment with your character, info, what position you'd like to play, and preferences (IE, het, only consensual sex, prefer x scenario, lots of grabbing or hickies, etc).

The Isle is cold tonight, colder than usual. The perpetual clouds look like they might drop snow instead of rain. Evie shivers, but stays out on the balcony of what used to be Bargain Castle, but has since become her castle. With Mal gone, and Maleficent with her, there's been no one else to claim it. She stares at the golden glow of the barrier, and swallows hard.

They'd promised to come back for her, for the others. Liars. Even Carlos - though he probably got shouted down if he tried to speak up for the ones left behind. Instead, supply runs come a little more regularly, and include some actually edible food and token care packages, and the barrier remains.

So, what to do when the cavalry won't show? Hold onto what you have with everything you have. So she has this castle, and she has the children - the orphans whose parents wouldn't or couldn't keep them. Her own tribe of Lost Kids, all safely tucked away in the basement, where there's a chance of keeping in the warmer air, and keeping out the drafts. She'll stand vigil for a little while longer before she turns in herself. Everything down below is locked up tight. All her traps are set. She's as safe as she can make herself.

The first thing Kylo did when Snoke let him out of the house after his first year on the Isle was to run away. No one can know who he really is. He’s learned that lesson thoroughly. Snoke, the elder Hux, and their allies made sure of that. Even if someone does recognize him and call him by his real name,he’ll probably just keep walking as if they’re talking to someone else. He’s not Ben Solo anymore. That boy is a distant memory.

Mal and the others are long gone by the time he gets the chance to run away so he takes shelter in the castle with the other Lost Kids. He isn’t sure how long they’ll let him stay. He’s already tall for his age and he just hit another growth spurt. He’s skinny and lanky so his clothes still fit but his pants are perpetually too short.

At least for now, he has somewhere safe to sleep. Unfortunately, that doesn’t soothe his insomnia. He finally gets up after a half hour of tossing and turning. Since he can’t sleep, he might as well check the traps. Maybe if he sees for himself that they’re set up right, his brain will let him get some sleep.

The noise downstairs pulls her from her thoughts. Intruder? She scowls. Softly, she heads back inside, pulling the doors to the balcony shut and arming the trap she's put on them. Then, she grabs a dagger from the shelf near the door. The blade has long since gone dull, but hopefully the threat of it will be enough to scare away whoever's found a way in.

She knows every creak of the stairs by now, and how to avoid them all. She keeps to the shadows as she descends into the main room. No lights. Whoever's here is smart enough for that. She goes still, listening for the noise again, then moves closer to it. Maybe she's lucky, and it's just a stray cat. Then, at least, there'll be some extra meat with supper tomorrow.

Nope. Not lucky. She can see the human shape in the darkness. She takes a step closer, then a second and a third, bringing up her dagger. "Don't move."

Kylo curses as he trips and lands right in the center of one of the more harmless traps. He’d meant to be quiet enough to not wake anyone up. Clearly that plan has fallen apart. A clatter of random items knocking together echoes down the hall. He’s just extricated himself from the trap when she arrives.

He takes a step back, raising his hands. “Evie?”

"Kylo?" The dagger is back at her side, facing away from him the moment she recognizes his voice. She moves over to him as she tucks it into the belt at her waist. "Are you hurt? What are you doing up here so late? Is everything okay?"

She steps around the trap. It's one of many, and she can reset it in a few minutes. The boy who's come to her for protection has her full attention.

“Yeah.”

He relaxes as she puts the dagger away. He can only hope she won’t assume he meant to sabotage the traps. He just wanted to make sure they would work. He’s so tired.

“Everything is fine. I’m fine. I just can’t sleep.”

She purses her lips at that. "That doesn't exactly sound like 'fine' to me. Do you want to talk about it?"

She holds out a hand, waiting to see if he'll take it. She doesn't even glance at the sprung trap. She'll fix it once she's satisfied Kylo is okay.

He sighs and shakes his head. “It’s normal for me. It’s always been hard to get to sleep.”

He does take her hand, though. “Sorry about the trap. I thought maybe it’d be easier to sleep if I saw for myself that they were already set. And then I set one off instead.”

She wraps her fingers around his and pulls him gently away from the sprung trap. "I'm just glad it didn't hurt you." She glances over at him. "It didn't, did it?"

Once they're clear, she guides him toward the stairs. "What makes it hard to get to sleep?"
