Still, twenty-four hours and counting trapped in a cabin buried in snow with little to no insulation was starting to take its toll. She could feel the numbness pulsing at her fingertips, her toes, stiffening at her limbs. And with no matches, no logs on the fire, and no heat gun to set anything aflame, their options were dwindling.

She sat curled up on the couch with a sad excuse for a blanket tucked around her, knees pulled up to her chest as she stared at Mick's back hunched over the fireplace. ]

Compared to the usual web of violence, intrigue, and moral compromise that comes with knowing Brock Rumlow beyond passing acquaintance, a freak blizzard is almost a welcome breath of fresh air. Davis is content to enjoy the peace and quiet while Rumlow makes his calls and adjust whatever plan he had that required coming up to this remote cabin in the mountains with his pet paramedic/accomplice in tow. Not knowing how long the storm's going to last, he feeds the fireplace conservatively, just enough to keep the place from feeling like a meatlocker without being wasteful in case it turns out they'll need to make the firewood stacked up here stretch.

Relaxing around a man as singularly dangerous as Rumlow probably isn't the best of ideas, but they've done this dance enough times that Davis isn't particularly worried about being trapped in close quarters with him. Hell, he's almost gotten used to the unannounced visits to his place to patch up wounds and the strange requests, and he can't even remember the last time the STRIKE agent felt like he had to use a gun to punctuate his point. Wait. Yes he can, quite clearly actually, but the key to a good working relationship (and staying alive) with Brock Rumlow is knowing how to let bygones be bygones.

Once he's gotten the fire going, there's nothing really to do but wait for Rumlow to finish his call (or calls, he really doesn't know). The cabin's barely large enough to allow privacy, but that's why he's here tending the fire and not lounging on the couch. When he hears the tread of boots on wood he looks up, hoping to see the other man in a good mood (or not viciously angry, at least).

"Hey. Any good news?"

[It's colder than she's used to being as the storm has been raging for several hours here. They shouldn't have come to Vallt, but here they are. Jyn's been particularly prickly since they were given this mission, and now the fact that they are likely to be stranded here at least an extra day has her even less excited.

A point which K2 has pointed out several times now, earning a quick glare from the shorter girl. She decides to retreat into one of the rooms of the place they are staying at, their ship miles away on the outskirts of town. Not even talking to Chirrut has seemed to help.
