You're a good kid, and this the deep, dangerous woods - literally or metaphorically. Here, there be dragons; more accurately, here there be wolves, of the big and bad variety, hungry to the core. And they're waiting for pretty young things, especially those in red hoods, because they want to gobble you up. But not with teeth and with claws (not usually), for they can lure you to your destruction in delectable, devious, wicked ways. You way want that, though. That may be why you're here in the first place. You're not so pure, are you? Then again...you may be the wolf yourself. What you're after is the hunt, the prey you know you can swallow whole. ✧ What big eyes you have The kind of eyes that drive wolves mad So just to see that you don't get chased I think I ought to walk with you for a ways What full lips you have They're sure to lure someone bad So until you get to grandma's place I think you ought to walk with me and be safe ✦ ✧ HOW TO PLAY ✦ Pretty obviously, this meme is based off of the fairytale of Little Red Riding Hood, which has commonly been interpreted to be about sexual awakening and seduction. It's also inspired by the short story "In the Company of Wolves" by Angela Carter, which is worth a read. ✦ Feel free to play this scenario as completely straight (ie characters with wolf ears, werewolves, literal fairytale settings) or as allegorical (a young, inexperienced character going into a bar full of bikers, etc). ✦ Similarly, bring along any kinks you'd enjoy. Underage/lolita, non-con, dub-con, fully consensual, knotting, animal mating drives, the list goes on and on. [This little guy had been showing up in his patch of forest for awhile now. Most people avoided it, even the path that used to be clean and easy to traverse had grown over with a litter of leaves and shrubs since Dave claimed this territory as his own. Humans and trolls alike had started to tell tales about the ghost wolf that lived there now, and while only a couple had seen him, the stories was enough to keep his privacy.

But then this dude started to show up, first wandering in, obviously lost, or exploring, then chilling in the shade of DAVE'S trees, doing whatever it was trolls do. Dave let him be at first, but when he came back again and again, Dave began to get annoyed. The balls on this guy (did trolls even have balls??), invading his territory despite the warning sign the humans had put up at the entrance of the woods?? Did he have a death wish or was he just an incredulous dumbass?

When he came back for the 5th time, Dave first smelled him on the air as he was dozing. The scent was now familiar, and alluring enough it made him lift his head with a growl before his eyes even opened. He stands to all fours, padding silently off for the clearing the small troll usually went to, ready to give him a good dressing down.]

Once, there was a girl gathering flowers in a garden.

Once, there was a girl with a basket of carefully-gathered wildflowers, taking a trip through the dark, dark woods to her grandmother Rhea's house.

Once, there was a hungry man with his heart in his hands.

It was slim pickings below, and had been for a long time: the people of the underworld looked up with yearning, looked to the surface world with dark envy, and their king watched their wandering eyes with bitterness and he wondered what's all the damn fuss, and so he came up above to see. And lo, the world was bright, and there were florid green trees and lush forests and wildflowers, and he thought he could understand (or begin to understand) why the others loved it so. Even under the cold and chilly moonlight, the world was vibrant.

And there was a young woman, and a road in the dark, dark woods.

"Out mighty late, aren't you?" the stranger asks, with a wolfish smile, leaning against a tree, arms crossed. His voice is gravel, dirt. His teeth gleam white as pearls.

It wasn't like Dojima to wander so deep into the woods, but there had been a request at the quest board to go looking for some materials that had been dropped from a merchant's wagon while crossing the river. The pay looked good, and he needed some extra this time of year.

Gun loaded and holstered, hunting knife sharpened and cleaned, and warm, red hooded cape wrapped around his shoulders, and he was off, bidding his daughter and nephew farewell.

Though... the forest felt... eerily quiet as he walked, making his hair stand on end.
