Melodramatic love. This is very important and you know you're rushing things a little but this love was meant to be!! Your love life is suddenly a Shakespearean tragedy, complete with dramatic plot twists and turns, and you need to confess your love to the world before it's too late! There's no time to lose; in the morning, you're going to be exiled, your love is going to be hanged, your mother will be shot, your father will become a pirate and someone will kick your puppy!! For bonus points, speak in terrible, hilarious, terrible prose.

Possessive & Manipulative love. You want this person, need them, want to own them -- but things don't seem to be going as planned. They keep looking at other people and talking to other people... it doesn't matter if they feel the same way, you'll force them into doing what you want them to do. You'll manipulate the situation. He was supposed to be in Atlantic City. There was a mutant kid there, another teleporter, who'd manifested. A multiversal teleporter. A multiversal teleporter who either didn't like the idea of his newfound citizenship in a newly found nation or who just startled easy.
Either way, he'd zapped Kurt to Bludhaven (no, he refuses that umlaut, it is unnecessary), and it only took Kurt about 20 minutes to get pulled into a ridiculous fracas that probably wouldn't make Logan proud, since it's in a cheesy pirate-themed tourist restaurant that overprices and waters down its beer, but it's in a cheesy pirate themed tourist restaurant. He may be lost, he may be facing death, but he's at least having a damned good time.
"You know, the last time this sort of thing happened to me, there really were pirates," he's telling the mobster currently trying his best to jab at him with a steak knife after he disarmed him of non-improvised weapons with his tail. "Wait, no, I don't think that was the last time, maybe the time before that- it is very easy to lose track." He has to bamf out of the way of a thrown knife, reappearing, grabbing his attacker and making a few short teleport trips, leaving him in a disheveled, nauseated heap. "I would apologize, but I do not think you are any worse for wear than if I'd let you finish your dinner, mein herr."
"Could someone please shut the freak up?" demands the one with the steak knife.

When the call came over the police scanner that there was some kind of blue... being terrorising a bunch of mobsters in a pirate themed restaurant, Dick was incredibly glad he was on duty and close enough to pick up the call. He suspects this is slightly more a Nightwing thing than an Officer Grayson thing, but the badge carried with it a certain amount of authority (sometimes) that would get him close enough to the situation to figure out who this new arrival was and whether they'd be help or hindrance to his cause.
The fact it was mobsters he was terrorising was a promising start.
So he bursts into the restaurant with his gun and a demand of "Bludhaven PD, everybody put down your weapons" and hopes to god they're all sensible enough to comply. These guys are too high up the chain for him to be much of a threat to, but he also knows they do not want to be arrested on something so minor, not by someone like Dick who's stubborn enough to use those charges to make a big impact.

"Ah, officer!" the blue man says to the man in blue. "Your timing is impeccable- I believe if you retrieve their motel keys, you will find the ombudsman's missing son unharmed, if shaken and making use of the pay-per-view." And mildly nauseous after Kurt teleported him to safety, but you know, sometimes in the course of mutant events, people throw up. Kurt's gotten very good at predicting it, mostly since it's usually him making it happen.

Dick took a long look at the suddenly murderous faces of the mobsters and suppressed the urge to sigh - technically this was a good thing, a really good thing, a break in a case they'd been working on and the chance to take out a lot of the city's underworld - if they could make the charges stick, but at the same time... The blue guy had just painted a very large target on his back, and he would not be difficult for them to find.
"Dispatch I'm gonna need a few more men down here," he told his radio, still keeping a careful eye on the rest of the mobsters - they weren't stupid enough to attack or kill him, or even go against his instructions, here and now, but the quicker he got some back up the better everything would be.
"Now we're all just going to sit here nice and calm until back up arrives, and then we're going to have a few conversations, okay?" he didn't dare push his luck by trying to take the keys right now, but he could keep enough of an eye on them that they didn't have a chance to ditch them before his colleagues arrived.
It wasn't long at all before men were being lead away in cuffs and Dick had grabbed the opportunity to get blue in a corner for a quiet word - taking a statement, of course - though he was conscious of the other officers shooting them plenty of curious looks.
"So... you're new in town."

Clark smiled as he nodded to her. He had paid the price to get to greet the magician backstage like anyone else would, since he was here as Clark and not as Superman. She might have gotten him in for free and definitely would have met him, he knew, but... well, he also liked supporting his friends.
"You were magnificent as always out there. It reminded me of when I saw your dad perform, as a child." The wonder had all come back from that long-ago meeting, and show, and his introduction to magic, both stage and real.
Clark held out a single flower, one that looked like any other plastic-sheathed store flower, unless you knew better. It was from Nanda Parbat, a souvenir of his and Zee's first 'crossover' and meeting. He had kept it all this time safe in his Fortress, and when he had made the arrangements to be here, he had gotten it to bring it to her.
He had had a crush on Zatanna ever since that first meeting, before their crossover, when they had both been young, her younger than he, at the show. And over the years, her skill, spirit, and beauty had only grown, and grown on him. And while he had always kept quiet while she was with others, he had never stopped feeling it.
The chance to see her tonight had just let him, well, maybe show it a little.
