Stuck in the Airport Meme

You were ready.

You'd packed, made sure all your documents were together, and arrived extra early just to get through customs.

It's only once you're through the gates that you learn your flights been delayed. Maybe even indefinitely.

You now have to spend the next however many hours at the airport.

1. Leave a comment with your character name, canon, optional preferences and starter.
2. Others tag in.
3. Meet new people? Entertain yourselves? Nap for a few hours?

An unexpected mechanical issue had delayed an already late night flight even further, leaving a whole bunch of travelers tired, cranky, and stuck at the airport. A couple hours wasn't worth heading home for, and it was only a minor inconvenience so the airline wasn't even going to pass out water.

So, Allison's wandering around the few stores or food outlets actually open in the early morning since the bright lights make it impossible to even attempt to sleep.

The PA echoes across the hall, another flight calling for an errant rider.

[ooc: hello, hello! Between finding time, and finishing other hobby projects I took a break, we'll see how long this lasts. Leaving locations blank - will have to look up geography, since the US is not part of my common knowledge base.]

She's back by the flight counter again, watching as another woman talks with a harried flight attendant. They're quiet, but she can tell that there's no satisfactory update by from their agitated gestures.

Taking another walk around the waiting area was an option, but it already feels like she knows every nook and cranny in this place, and she really doesn't feel like buying something from the Starbucks where a bored barista had been playing around on their phone.

She looks around at the other gates, wait, could that be Lydia?

Kenma doesn't really care. He has his Switch and he's sitting next to an outlet and he has two external battery packs as backup, so he's pretty set. He can even ignore the annoying hustle and bustle of the airport when he has his headphones on, but for now he keeps them off, listening to the conversations of his teammates around him.

They're pretty anxious and annoyed. They don't want to miss their game.

"So... you heading to Gotham, too?" As if it weren't every flight in the airport weren't delayed by at least a couple of hours, thanks to the great weather they were having. He drums his hands on his knees, shifting forward, back, forward again. "Y'know, I told 'em it was a bad idea to fly to the conference. I could've just taken a train, they're just as fast when you account for flight delays and all the waiting and god, going through security." He was talking a mile a minute, like he'd downed an entire pot of espresso.
