Time spent with the person you care the most for is a precious, invaluable thing. Most people take it for granted, though, as they can be with their beloved as much as they'd like. But not you. You and the one you love are kept apart - for whatever reason.

Today, though, you get a rare private moment with them. This is the first time in quite a while, and may be the last time in months, if not years. What do you do? Comfort each other? Hold each other tight? Have sex? Argue? The specifics are up to you; mix and match your canons, tag someone new to see how this stolen moment plays out.

It's quiet. Not entirely. Those of the Resistance who were still left to gather up at their base after everything are still buzzing with excitement over their victory and that energy lingers in the air. But it's not as active a celebration as it was. People have started to go on to whatever they had planned to do next... or to figure out exactly what to do next, now that their biggest goal has been accomplished. Or to go get the first good night's sleep any of them have had in forever.

Rey, for her part, is firmly in the "what now?" camp, feeling more than a little untethered with so much of her recent life suddenly gone. She's wandered off to check over her ship for lack of anything specific to be doing.

It's quiet and it's not quiet at the same time. Finn's mind feels louder than it has in a long time and he tries to relax for the night, enjoy the aftermath of victory but he's restless. He doesn't know exactly what's next at this point. Not a long time passes before he searches out Rey. It's not really hard to find her. It's never been that hard to find her.

Finn's peering in her ship.

"Hey..." he greets her, his voice quiet just because it feels like it should be.

"Hey," she replies, just as quietly, looking up at him from where she has her hands in an open panel. "Give me just a moment." She's messing with some wiring and very much does not want to forget what she was doing in the middle of it, but it won't take her long to be done. She pops the cover back on once she's done and then turns her attention back to him.

She would wave him in to join her, but there really isn't much room in this ship, so she hops out to join him, instead.

Finn waits, watching her as she finishes what she's doing. He knows that it won't take long at all so he's not impatient about not having her attention yet. He smiles at her when she finally does join him.

"It's weird isn't it?"

[Post-tros she's going to be kinda messed up over Ben (which I think she would be even not taking that as a romantic kind of thing; he was still practically living in her head for a while), and I would not mind at all doing something along the lines of him trying to get her to talk about that grief since she'd probably be clamming up and trying to deal with it on her own and he seems inclined to get on her case about that. But also I fully understand if that is not where you want to go with this, so earlier is probably easier in that case. Or like significantly post-tros to give her time to process stuff first. I'm open to whatever, really.]

[It was Geralt, so there had been a monster. It was also Yennefer, so there had been at least one bad idea. But it was also both of them, so the fight ended quickly, and with at least one dead monster.

Yennefer set a smile pile of wood (or battle debris) alight with a small bolt of lightning, then sank to the ground next to him]

I’m assuming most of the blood isn’t yours.

[ Geralt was grateful for Yennefer's help even if he doesn't openly express his thanks. The monster went down easier and quicker than had he done it alone. He had plopped himself down, catching a bit of a breather as he ran a quick assessment of his person.

He was mostly sore but nothing more pressing than that. ]

Feels that way.

[ He'll have to stop by the river later to wipe off the blood in full but for now, he settles for stripping off the hard leather and setting it aside in a little pile. Bring his attention to Yennefer, giving her a bit of a look over. ]

You didn't get hit, did you?

[the woodpile crackles with flame, throwing everything into warm firelight and dancing shadow. Yennefer takes an inventory of her own injuries... a bruise is blooming high on her cheek, she can feel it. Chest back arms waist...Ugh.

She checks her skirt, and there is a ragged slice in it, and a matching wound on her leg near her calf, that is bleeding. The blood had been near undetectable among her black skirts. ]

Dammit, I liked this skirt.

[fortunately, that does seem to be only injury.]

[ He watched as she took inventory of her injuries. There's nothing he could really do in terms of tending to bruises but the wound to her leg should be treated as soon as possible. He gives a quick looking pass for Roach, knowing she was still nearby until he spots the mare just a ways off. ]

It was a nice skirt.

[ He briefly comments before getting to his feet once more, blowing a short whistle for the mare's attention before she slowly came trotting up to makeshift camp, stopping just in front of the witcher.

A few soothing strokes and pats before he's reaching into one of the saddlebags for a pouch of herbs and a few supplies. Its not much but it'll have to do for the time being. He ended up making enough for a poultice with some spare cloth he still had in case he ever needed it for times like these. ]

May I?

[ A soft question as he motions for Yennefer's leg. Hiking up the skirt a bit to see the cut in the firelight, before he's dragging a wet cloth over the wound to wash some of the blood off. His touch is gentle and precise, wrapping the poultice in another string of cloth and wrapping it around her leg. ]

[she could have healed the gash with a whisper of magic, but it was not often that Geralt was with her and they weren’t arguing and instead she let herself watch him work, the quick efficient way he made the poultice.

She nodded and extended her leg to him, hissing a little at the sting of water along the cut, then watching him secure the bandage. The herbs worked fast, spreading a tingling sensation along the cut. She smiled and reached down to adjust her skirt, brushing her hand against his]
