GOTTA MEME EM ALL

Hello there! Welcome to the world of POKEMON! My name is OAK! People call me the POKEMON PROF! This world is inhabited by creatures called POKEMON! For some people, POKEMON are pets. Others use them for fights. Myself...I study POKEMON as a profession.
It's the world of Pokémon! Is your character a trainer and fighter of pokemon? Are they a gym leader, picking a favourite type and facing all comers? A breeder, taking care of pokemon at a nursery? Are they a criminal with some kind of Team? Are they a Professor, studying their niche subject about the world of pokemon? Or maybe they have a profession similar to their own canon, just that they're helped along by their pokemon partners? Maybe your character IS a pokemon. It's an AU! Have fun with it! (And if you already play a character from pokemon, hey, post anyway!)
Describe your AU version, pick some pokemon, and post!
001: You're on a route. Your eyes meet. You both know what that means: it's time to BATTLE!
002: Well, you just lost, either to other trainers, wild pokemon, a gym leader, or some hooligans. Time to heal up your pokemon at the POKEMON CENTER, and maybe run into someone there.
003: You two are RIVALS. You're going to be the best that ever was, but more importantly: better than them. You just ran into them on your journey - are you going to battle pokemon or just have a battle of wits?
004: Pokemon CAMPING! You've set up a tent and are spending some time with your pokemon, maybe sharing some curry. Visitors and their pokemon are welcome to join, of course!
005: GOTTA CATCH EM ALL! You're out catching pokemon, maybe with your buddy or rival, maybe you're trying to catch a specific pokemon but a stranger has their eyes on the same one…
006: POKEMON SHENANIGANS! Turns out, they're not always well behaved. Lost in a cave and tired of all these zubats? Falling asleep thanks to a jigglypuff? Wooloo blocking the road? Gyrados on a rampage? Ghost pokemon haunting you? Whatever it is, some sort of pokemon is causing a ruckus!
007: Pokemon World Has Regular Jobs Too, Just, You Know, With Pokemon. You're a construction worker or in an office, a schoolteacher or student, a swimmer or psychic, and you just want to thread out some SLICE OF POKEMON LIFE. Go for it.
008: GYM BATTLE TIME. You're a gym leader being challenged by a trainer or vice versa (or a Trial Captain and a trainer, if you're in Aloha). Beating you means the trainer can continue on their journey to be the best, and you're not going through make it easy for them.
009: Maybe you're in some kind of gang like TEAM ROCKET (or Team Magma, Aqua, Skull, Flare, etc or insert AU here), or maybe you're fighting them. Either way, someone's up to no good, stealing pokemon or trying to take over the world or free every pokemon or stanning their fave trainer a little too hard, you know, making trouble!
010: And We're Going To Be LEGENDARY. There's a legendary pokemon, nigh unto a god if they aren't already a god. Maybe someone is after them or they're helping with some crisis, but either way stuff just got real.
WILDCARD: Just play in the space and have fun!

If you want post-timeskip flavour, he's still not a pokemon champion but some of his pokemon did evolve into Sirfetch'd, Scrafty, Hitmonchan, and Lucario respectively! (Hawlucha can't evolve, it's all good.) And he realized almost his entire team could be taken out by one (1) bird so somewhere along the way he got a Noivern.
And, of course, if you so happen to meet eyes with him he will challenge you to a pokemon battle. He's so ready to fight at ANY TIME. ]

Team Rocket was there for Ashe when his parents died, and since a young age he had paid back their kindness by helping them steal pokemon. He hated it. But he owed them.
He made sure to never actually steal pokemon himself. Mostly he picked locks with the help of his Klefki and ran interference for any who tried to stop his team members from absconding.
Currently, he was facing off against another kid his age. He pulled his cap down over his eyes and pulled one of his pokeballs from his belt and sent out his Impidip. "You won't stop us," he said not bothering to sound intimidating, his heart just wasn't in it. It was never in it, but now recently he had stopped even trying.
no subject
But this kid was really bringing down the mood. "Okay, you really don't sound like you're feeling this. Come on, if you're going to fight, fight like you mean it! Like this!"
He pulled a pokeball from his belt and wound back, really making a show of his throw. "Hyah!" His Farfetch'd burst from the pokeball, leek and all, facing Ashe's Impidip.
no subject
Which was a good thing, because it came in handy against fighting types like Caspar's Farfetch'd. Impidip lept forward, tackling it while it glittered and then formed a chaotic cloud where stars shot out.
"I don't need to meet your enthusiasm, I just need to beat you."
no subject
The poor thing could barely lift its leek. Dammit, he miscalculated and now his pokemon was suffering for it. Or maybe it was that he should have built a more balanced team, although he couldn't help falling in love with every fighting pokemon he saw. No, this wasn't his pokemon's fault, this was his. Think, Caspar, think, what should he do? For the moment, he bought more time by using a super potion. Linhardt was forever giving him those, so he always had one on hand.
His mood, however, had shifted quickly from being annoyed to being a bit upset. At himself, mostly, but his frustration comes out as a snap.
"Why is your dumb mission even that important?"
no subject
He could sympathize with Caspar's love of fighting type pokemon because Ashe preferred fairy types, but he was able to mix in the required dark type with Impidip, and his Klefki was very useful for opening locks. He had Pawniard that he loved like he loved all his pokemon, but he wouldn't be much use against fighting types.
With a huff, he had pointed at the poor Farfetch'd again. "Again!" he ordered, and his Impidip bounded forward eagerly.

Then he ended up finding himself picking up just about every wounded or abandoned pokemon that he could find.
A litter of Eevee children (who grew into a Sylveon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and the smallest evolved into a Vaporeon after sifting into his backpack and finding a stray waterstone) who were abandoned not far from the pokemon day care? Check.
A Riolu, who he found rummaging through his food? Check.
A beautiful Braviary, who he found with a broken wing, and thus nursed back to health? Double-check.
He still has a dream of winning the Pokemon league, but his primary focus is on making his pokemon as happy as possible. And if he and his pokemon end up helping just about every old lady, delivery girl, or lost child they find along the way?
Well, even better.]

The moment Haga started his Pokemon journey he already knew what he wanted: he wanted to specialize in Bug Pokemon. Yes, he was aware of the multitude of weaknesses they had - almost as much as Grass Pokemon - but he wasn't about to let that stop him. And that feeling only intensified when his father gave him a Kricketot as a "start of journey" gift.
Roughly two months later he has what he thinks is a very solid team, with a Beedrill, a Kricketot and a Swadloon, but... he knows he can do better and he knows his present Pokemon haven't reached their true, full potential. Specially when he considers how poor his win to lose ratio is. He knows bugs have disadvantages and aren't the sturdiest, but he was sure he was doing all the right stuff when raising them, so, what gives?
He soon hears wind of a breeder who specializes in Bug types, and while Haga isn't the type to actively ask for help with, well, anything, he decides maybe it's worth paying a visit to the guy. He hates to admit it but maybe he's doing something wrong.
When he reaches the Daycare building and opens the door - the sound of a small bell ringing when the door moves - he's met with the sight of a really large guy standing behind the counter, his back turned to the door before he turns with a large, almost goofy smile.
"Anh... Morning. I-I'm looking for Gonta." He's hoping Gonta isn't this guy with disheveled hair and dumb face. But knowing his luck...

There was a towering young man with wild hair alright. And looking closely, a Caterpie seemed to be in the process of inching up one arm of his. As the boy asked the question of him, he happily answered him.
"Well, you have found Gonta! Good job!" He pointed to himself. "Gonta is my name. What brings you here today? Are you here to make friends, or do you want Gonta to take care of your friends for a while? Or both?" He seems absolutely delighted by any option!
no subject
"Anh, actually, I heard that you are very good with raising bug Pokemon, so I thought you could give me some pointers on raising my own team?"
Could he really trust this guy? It looked like he just rolled off the bed. The Caterpie going up his arms seemed comfortable enough around him though, and Haga knows those can be tricky to befriend.
no subject
"Yes! Yes, Gonta loves all Bug Pokemon and does his best to take care of them all!! Like a true gentleman!" He slams his hands down on the counter dramatically. "Gonta would be happy to help you!! What's your favorite thing about bugs?!" he asks excitedly, as if meeting a fellow member of a secret society!
no subject
Strange or not though, Haga can appreciate the guy's excitement about bugs.
"Favorite thing? There's so much I like it's hard to say..." Specially when asked out of the blue like that. "I like how fast they grow and how cool they look once they reach their final evolution, you know?" There's absolutely nothing cooler than watching a Butterfree or other bug pop out of their previous form in that big flash of light.
"H-How about you?" He kinda wants to hear more of what this guy has to say, to see if he's for real about his love for bugs.

For the purposes of this meme, he is a traveling member of some region's Elite Four who's just looking for some random battles in between champion battles, and so he only has a four 'mon team (Sawsbuck, Absol [shiny], Mimikyu, and Zoroark). Definitely not to be underestimated but can be beat! Since Pokemon is quirky, he looks the same, acts the same, and has the same nickname of The Radio Demon!
Extra fun: Battle intro image with artist source and a theme!]]
What ho??? You've encountered a strange man dressed in red down a high-level route!
But seriously the man just sticks out for all the red he wears and his vibrant hair. Hmm, he might look familiar, but you couldn't be sure. He seems to take notice that he isn't alone after a while, and about-faces before dusting off his sleeves. That smile sure is eerie, huh? Are...are his teeth pointed?
It's your move. Eye contact? Kick rocks?

[Madotsuki is the ghost of a young girl who happened to befriend a lone Genger, and later a Hypno and Mimikyu. She doesn’t remember much of her life when she was alive, but that doesn’t really matter to her anymore. All she cares about is enjoying the time she spends together with her friends.]

[out: I don’t mind! Feel free to take all the time you need. ^^
Do you have a specific location or setting in mind? And as for plot… What if Monoko’s partner, in trying to protect her, ends up causing problems for the surrounding Pokémon, and Madotsuki goes to investigate? Also, you didn’t mention this before, but what kind of Pokémon would Monoko have?]

As for setting, maybe a some random abandoned house in some town? Maybe a smaller or quieter one where a haunting would get a lot more attention from the people living in said town (maybe somewhere like Lillycove? I feel that Hoenn in general would be best for this thread).
As for her Pokemon, it's a ghost Pokemon too, either Lampent or Chandelure (I still can't decide XD).
What do you think? ))

[out: I don’t know anything about Hoenn, I’m afraid; I’m more familiar with Sinnoh. ;v; (I’ve never played any of the Gen III games, but Platinum is one of my favorite games of all time.) I’m willing to give it a shot though. But if you’re open to Sinnoh, maybe a place like Hearthome or Veilstone might work? Or if you prefer, we could always fudge it and just make something up as we go along?]

But this is fine with Urotsuki. She had not been planning on being seen again anyway, wanting nothing more than to find a quiet place to disappear from the world. Her Pokemon are ready to accept this decision of hers too, but upon arriving to this spot, the Beheeyem accompanying her suddenly stops her from proceeding further in the house, the lights on it's hands blinking. As a Psychic type, perhaps it's sensing that there's someone else here already...]

[The air inside the house is cold, and there seems to be something moving about in the darkness. A single Hypno steps out into the light cast by the open doorway, the floor creaking under its weight. The thing in the shadows is still there, however, watching as the Hypno lets out a warning cry as if to say, “Go away.”
Behind them, coming from the back of the old house, is the faintest sound of a girl’s laughter.]
no subject
So while she doesn't give her Pokemon a command to try to attack the Hypno or anything rash like that yet, she does start to step forward toward the sound of laughter so that she can investigate the source. Provided that she doesn't get attacked for her troubles, that is, which her Beheeyem is watching warily for any potential sign of happening.]
