There's no need for a herald to announce Ben Solo has arrived, nor a message to relay it. Not for Rey, anyway. There's the ever-present Force, that bond between them that is inexplicable - like a string, tying them to each other, taut at all times. Something she first struggled to come to terms with.

The planet is... seedy, to say the least. Han and Chewie have a penchant for finding such places. The grey hood obscures the scavenger's face, but the same cannot be said for BB-8. Although Rey had managed to slip away from the Falcon's pilots, the droid could not be so easily fooled and trailed behind her like a shadow as she picked her way through the crowds.

[The phenomenon of soulmates was a subject that Gansey had studiously ignored most of his life. After the incidents with the hornets, he'd known that his life expectancy wasn't something that could be easily measured and the quest...

His search was supposed to be his main focus in life. The words that wrapped around his upper arm couldn't change that. Or, more correctly, he couldn't let them since he refused to let his potential soulmate be hurt by his childhood foolishness and a severe allergy.

That didn't mean that he didn't pay attention to the words that people said to him when he first met someone. Or that he didn't mentally cringe every time a teacher spoke to him the first time since 'Your grammar is terrible' seemed to be the sort of phrase that would be spoken in a academic setting. At least if it was a teacher, then it would most likely be a platonic bond and easy to ignore.

What he didn't expect was Adam Parrish to say those words to him and for Gansey's heart to start racing with something he didn't understand as soon as Adam finished speaking.]

I - uh - [Did Adam have stuttering phrases somewhere on his skin? No, it'd be his mangled Latin that announced that Gansey was his soul mate.] Ronan's been tutoring me, but I seem to be terrible at the subject.

[As he speaks, he starts edging for the door, ignoring the WTF look Ronan's giving him since the only thing that matters is getting away from Parrish as quickly as possible.]
