[Talos did not have a lot of living friends. As 'fun' as it was babysitting Earth during Fury's vacation, and as nice as it was for Soren to be there with him, he still didn't like how it kept him apart from one of his few friends--namely, Carol.

But he wouldn't come out and say that. Where's the fun in saying you care about someone?

They haven't seen each other in a while, certainly not since the snap (and Talos had been snapped out of existence, so he supposes he hadn't seen Carol in years, though it doesn't feel like it). So when he heard word that she was coming to the Skrull ship in Earth's atmosphere to check in, he slipped away from Spiderman's revealed identity drama (that child would be the death of him) and came back to the ship to greet her.

And of course, the way he greets her is by lounging in a chair with a milkshake and turning to see her as she comees in.]

It'll be their twin bond that'll alert Jaina to her presence more than anything, a little persistent ping in the Force like a proximity alert. When she does look up, it'll be in time to see Jane slide into the empty seat across her in one of the cantina's shadowed corner booths, drinking straight from a large bottle of Corellian brandy.

They're twins, but they don't look as alike as one would expect them to be. Jane's taller, lankier, and, since the days of the Jedi academy, has worn her hair short. In an all-black bodysuit she looks more like an assassin or a mercenary — or a Knight of Ren, even — than a former Jedi, and given how quiet she's been about her whereabouts in the past several months, who's to say she hasn't become one?

Except that it doesn't feel that way. Something has changed, and Jaina would feel that in their twin bond. But that's not it.

[Clara isn't sure if it counts as coming back if both parties are meeting at remote edges of the universe to see one another again. Of course, it's less an arranged meeting and more her own tardis giving off a distress signal after a rough crash landing. Of course the Doctor answered that call. It's dangerous for them to be close, and Clara knows their paths shouldn't mingle. She has her own adventures to go on now. But she's not so secretly pleased that the Doctor's here, and they're able to have a reunion. It's been a long time since she's been this happy.

Her own tardis is cloaked and securely hidden away, and she's more than happy to be back in the Doctor's. It's different than she remembers, but every regeneration is. She eyes this new face with the usual sort of Clara scrutiny, though she's not able to hide the smile that's on her face. She also can't stop herself from moving in for a hug as soon as it seems like the Doctor's over the shock of seeing her face. The last face she remembers wasn't big on hugs, and she wonders if that's transferred over to the Doctor now.]

I thought I'd never see you again. But here you are, answering my distress calls.

[It makes sense. The Doctor's not likely to let further harm come to her, if it can be prevented.]
