Redemption Romance

Atonement is, in your eyes, a Sisyphean task. You'll never be able to redeem yourself, no matter if what you did was against your will and only allowed you to survive in a cruel world. Who could understand what you've done or think you could be forgiven when it comes to all your friends?

Certainly you never believed redemption, so far away already, could come in the form of a person...or a romantic relationship.

(ooc: Hi? Anything you're particularly thinking?)

(ooc: Nothing specific, but I was pretty disappointed in TRoS for delivering redemption = death, among the rejection of the premise that you don't have to be "someone," in Rey's case. I'll roll with pretty much whatever you'd like to throw to me. :) )

(ooc: Yeah, the redemption = death thing got me, too. It's just too easy a conclusion to an otherwise very complicated and nuanced progression. So let's change it. XD Maybe go with something just after his canon death, except in this case he didn't die, he just passed out for a bit and then is super weak for a while?)

(ooc: I honestly feel like I could have dealt with anything else if they'd just let him live. XD Anyway, sounds great to me!)

He remembers saving her, all but running out of energy to give her. He remembers it working. It's all a bit fuzzy after that.

He's had a few moments bordering on consciousness, but not even enough to register his surroundings, much less how much time has passed since then. But she's been nearby every time. He knows that much.
