Ever want to play your character meeting a younger or older version of their best friend / loved one / family member? Or someone that was long dead before they came around? Or from the future? Maybe by a difference of 5 years? Or 500 years?

Looking for crosscanon stuff with a character from another canon AND time period altogether? Then we've got the meme for you!

PROMPT IDEAS
1. DAY ONE. you just showed up here and have bumped into a new/old friend. wtf is going on?
2. YEAR ONE. it's been a year and the HOW DID THIS HAPPEN is old news, you've both accepted that this is the way things are - what the heck are you up to now?
3. CLASSIC FISH OUT OF WATER PROMPT whether you're from the past learning to do something about the future, or from the future learning how to do something the old-school way, this is the prompt you should go with when you want to thread out your character learning something new, or dealing with living in a time that doesn't have XYZ-thing yet.
4. LET ME EXPLAIN... have a question for someone from your future? want to ask someone why they made that dumb decision in the past that effected your present? now's the time to ask!

RULES
1. first of all, if it ends up being shippy? whatever! i just like the idea of it being more geared towards gen shenanigans. if a thread ends up smutty, just label it.
2. this can be intentional time travel, or accidental. that's not the important part. unless you want it to be!
3. the name of the game is just plopping your character into a time period that isn't their own, and playing out those new/old relationships that you could never get to see in canon. or crosscanon stuff without AUing them into "always from this time period".

Michael has been busy in the week and change since she wound up in Derry. The bunker is now filled with various thinks - printouts from the library, library books, a few spare parts scavanged from don't-ask-where, she doesn't want to tell children how to steal or how to build advanced technological items like proto-tricorders, communicators, or phasers.

Especially not that last one.

None of it works quite satisfactorily enough, yet, but thank goodness that she and Saru overcame their combative tendencies from the Shenzou; he was a genius when it came to putting things together, and every gains she's made has come from wondering what he would do with what she has.

When Richie arrives, Michael jerks her head up, almost surprised, like the time has gotten away from her. It has, in a way: she's been very invested in the old map she was able to dig up of the sewers, cross referencing with a map of Derry; it's all practically archaic, but she knows how to use the tools she's given.

"Are you ready to go?" She's taking one last look at the maps, calling on the training she underwent in her Vulcan schools. Her memory isn't photographic, but it's damn good.
