Getting sick was a very rare occurance for Jonathan and he's trying to pin point extactly where he's been the past few days, what he's touched and who he's come in contact with. Yet, he comes up empty. His senses feel all fuzzy and it takes him longer to react to things which can be a bit of a problem, especially in public.

He didn't dare to drive himself around today but he took a short walk to the nearest convience store for medicine and then was planning on heading straight home. What he wasn't planning on was it being a more difficult task than he originally thought. Jonathan has to brace himself against the wall of a building, head downcast as he gripped the front of his sweater, breathing a little heavy as he tried to collect himself.

All he really wanted to do right now was curl up in bed and wait for this to blow over. He was miserable and he can't remember the last time he felt this warm despite it being a bit chilly outside.

He pushes himself off the wall only to not really pay attention and stumble a little, accidently bumping into someone familiar. Being out of it as he was, he offers his best apology, "Sorry, I... I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Are you okay?"

Not at all recognizing who was in front of him.

[ when herbert west cracks his eyes open, several things occur to him at once: one, he's uncomfortably warm despite it being november in arkham, massachusetts; two, the red digital numbers on his bedside clock read 0913; and three, the reason he's overslept is that tim is still sleeping beside him instead of jarring him out of his typical light sleep by getting up at the usual time. i've already fallen behind by two hours. excellent.

[The moment he heard Manuela mention Felix was ill, of course Ashe had to do something! He's not a doctor or a healer, but he's a good cook and he knows that food can be just as nourishing for the soul as it is for the body. Plus, Dedue taught him a great deal about herbs and which ones are especially good for which sicknesses.

He used to make this soup for his brother and sister when they were sick. It's been updated with his recently-gained knowledge, so hopefully it'll help Felix even a little. He carries the tray carefully, knocking on Felix's door with the toe of his boot.]

[ He comes from a post-apoc canon and is more likely to be the caretaker who doesn't really know how to be gentle, but is trying all the same. Sunny used to kill for a lord that was, frankly, insane, so he's just trying to learn what it is to be vulnerable and human and care about things.

[ There's something going around Garreg Mach, and Felix has no intention of catching it.

Which is easier said than done, unfortunately. Manuela has started turning people away from the infirmary, wringing her hands because they're over capacity, and Marianne manages to help with overflow for a couple of days before she comes down with a fever. White magic and vulneraries help ease the symptoms, but it's the kind of illness that has to run its course, and within a week half the monastery is down for the count.

Felix is fine. It's not like he makes a point of socializing, anyway; he trains early in the day and takes his meals across the dining hall from Raphael's booming sneezes and Hilda's pitiful whining that she needs to take the rest of the month off.

If his room weren't next to Claude's, Felix wouldn't take note of his habits or well-being any more than he does the others. So long as Claude doesn't make much noise between sunset and sunrise, Felix doesn't care what he does with his free time. Except he does notice when Claude only makes a brief appearance at dinner two nights in a row. And he definitely hears his midnight sneezing.

Felix rationalizes that getting herbal tea from Manuela and bringing it to Claude is as much for his own benefit as anything else--if the person who sleeps next door is sick, then he's more likely to catch it. This is a necessary precaution.

So he's scowling a bit when he raps sharply on Claude's door in the morning, but the tea tray in hand looks like it was put together with care: there's extra hot water and lemon wedges and honey, a little bowl of medicinal hard candies, and a tin of salted crackers. ]
