sunday texting

a GENERAL sort of TEXTING meme

Sometimes, you just want to text somebody. No reason, no sexy stuff, no special time of the day. You just text that sucker. Sometimes it's even a wrong number! The world is your oyster, if your oyster has unlimited texting. Which, presumably, it does. You know what to do! Leave a top level and text people! Live free! Get weird!

Yeah, that makes sense.

[ So did sleep aids. ]

Wow, I don't think I've ever talked to someone who actually plays violin properly, or thought of doing it professionally. It sounds like a good hobby.

Understandable, I work as a tailor. Far from glamor.

I'd love to visit France, my grandfather was french. He used to talk about Paris before he died.

[ He wasn't a tailor at all, legally though he did work for his mother. Even if he never worked there at all. ]
57times: (Right...)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I love it. I don't think I've enjoyed anything as much as I do music.

Whatever puts money in the bank, right?

France is beautiful. I haven't been since I was in school, but Paris was lovely.
jazzandliquor: (you walked around your house)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
I love music to, my favorite band is CCR, but I have a real love for Jazz. I just have zero musical skills.

This exactly, gotta keep the tax man off our backs and the girls in school.

If your ever there again send me a picture. I mean I could google it but it feels cheap.
57times: (Considering it)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know, I bet you're a secret maestro on the triangle.

Probably won't be for a while, but sure.

It's your turn to ask a question.
jazzandliquor: (When you know who's calling)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
The Jimmy Page of the Triangle, that's me. Or ya know the tambourine. I hear their pretty easy. Seriously though, my little sister Rose she plays the fucking Cello. The damn things bigger than she is. I think all musical talent went into her.

Hey, I got nothing but time, seriously.

Okay, What’s your dream car?
57times: (Hair up 2)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
She has good taste; cellos are beautiful. How old is she?

I've always wanted a Lexus; I have no idea why, I've just always liked the look of them. Or an Impala; they're gorgeous.

But, I have young dog, so...until he's a little calmer on car rides, getting a more expensive car will need to wait.

[ The backseats were already scratched and chewed to hell and back. Just thinking about that happening in the back of a Lexus or a Chevy makes her want to weep. ]

jazzandliquor: (And your knee socks)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Beautiful and she could kill a man with that case if he came at her wrong. She's 17, and pure spitfire.

Lexus' are pretty nice for a newer car. Impalas to, but I prefer the old ones. I just like old cars, I got a old Rivera.

Yeah, dogs are hell on seats, I tend to keep a blanket on the back seat when I have to take the dog somewhere with me. It helps until he pulls it down.

57times: (Bar)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Good for her.

Oh yeah, the old ones are the best if we're just going for aesthetics. That's one thing you lot have over us. Old American cars are great.

Seats, cushions, a friend's well-loved hat recently...

What breed do you have?
jazzandliquor: (on the 24 hour clock)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm proud of her.

You guys don't have old muscle cars over there? I guess that makes sense though.

Oh no, sounds like they have fun though. Ayida's a mutt, I think she's part collie, but she's the most loyal dog anyone could ask for.

[ A minute or so later, a picture comes ]
57times: (Trying not to laugh)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh? Why's that?

She's adorable is what she is.

[ In return, he gets a picture right back ]

That's my boy, Hades.
jazzandliquor: (book I was acting like I knew)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Because, she's got good grades, she stands up for what she believes in and she might even be the first of us to go to college. Good reasons to be proud.

Isn't she though? I've had her for about 7 years.

Aww man, Hades is a looker to. What a great shot!
57times: (Cute smile)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-25 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually meant 'why does it make sense that England doesn't have muscle cars'.

It'd be kind of a dick move to ask why you're proud of your younger sibling. The whole sibling pride thing should just be in-built, assuming you get on well. But she sounds wonderful.

Thank you. He's huge already and he's still got a lot of growing to do. Good thing he enjoys training.
jazzandliquor: (You were a stranger in my phone)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-25 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, high population and being the size of one state. In fact, if Google is right its the size of Louisanna and twelve times more populated. Sounds like a killer rush hour if you ask me.

Yeah, see that makes sense, and yeah we mostly get on well. We all do, theres five of us and mom. Our old man took off just before the youngest was born.

Yep, that checks out for an amazing good dog. But man he'll be huge if hes still growing.

Okay next question; Whats your favorite movie?
57times: (Ponytail)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-27 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends where you are in the country, I suppose. I definitely wouldn't go near London or the Coventry ring road in a car like that.

Doberman's get pretty big - I think males can get up to 100lbs..? That'll be fun.

That's a hard question, God...the original 'Halloween' is pretty great, but 'The Exorcist' is fantastic as well.

'The Babadook' is up there too. I don't know if I can name just one.
jazzandliquor: (When you know who's calling)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-27 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
To be honest, driving down here can be like that to, I tend to leave it at home if Im going anywhere close. Traffic's hell.

Oh yeah, that's gonna be a good big boy there.

Ahh, a horror girl, awesome. Horror wise I'm a sucker for the Friday the 13th movies, even the campy ones. I can watch them all. Outside of horror my favorite is Princess and the Frog, that movies just great to watch anytime. Who cares if its a cartoon.

[ He just loved Dr. Facilier, he will never be that cool. ]
57times: (Protect at all costs)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-27 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Friday the 13th is so good! I can't believe I forgot that, I've betrayed myself.

Have you seen 'Hereditary'..? That movie fucked me up.

[ What's this? She's gone from amused indifference to genuinely enjoying a conversation with another human?

It's a Christmas miracle, Mr Spock.
]

Animated movies can be just as good, if not better than some live action films, in my opinion. It makes it so much easier to suspend disbelief when it's animated as opposed to just a load of half-assed CGI.

jazzandliquor: (Well you cured my January blues)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-28 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
It's easily looked over, namely if you like Halloween to, a lot of people tend to mix Jason and Michael at times. God knows I do sometimes and I love them both.

I haven't, but I know what I'm watching tomorrow morning. Will report back after with thoughts.

[ And he would. God time differences, he'd have to learn that in time. For now he was just pleased to talk to someone about horror movies and well, anything of interest.]

Oh my god, THIS. THIS exactly. And on that note, give me practical effects and make up monsters before CGI. Vincent Price didn't need no stinkin' CGI.
57times: (Black beanie smirk)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-28 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm, true. It's a shame though, they're both great in their own ways. Even the 2018 'Halloween' was pretty good.

Yeah, let me know. It's not the director's first time behind the camera, but he's pretty incredible.

YES! Like in 'The Thing'? The effects in that are still so fantastic, I still get grossed out with the dog scene.
jazzandliquor: (wearing my sky blue Lacoste)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-11-30 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I liked it but I also admit to being one of the heathens that loved the Zombie version. Laurie is forever my favorite horror girl, she gets shit done.

I know he did Midsommer, and my older sister has been yelling I will love it, I just havent got around to it. Im not the type to see movies in theaters.

YES EXACTLY! Man, The dog scene was hard, but such a great movie.
57times: (Touche)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-11-30 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say that makes you a heathen; you like what you like.

How come..? Not a fan of cinemas?
jazzandliquor: (wearing my sky blue Lacoste)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-12-01 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly everyone acts like its a crime, but honestly I like that version of Laurie better which is mostly what it is. But yeah, I like what I like, it's all part of being a human I guess.

Not to be sappy and all but, my old man took me and my younger sister to the movies to see Super 8, he dipped out before it was done. So yeah, that's my reason for hating going to theaters, and how my old man walked out of our family.
57times: (Not so sure)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-12-01 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Finding a decent heroine in a horror movie is pretty difficult - latch onto the one you like and defend her honour until further notice.

...I kind of want that on a shirt.

[ She can completely empathise with the whole 'parent leaving you out of the blue' thing, but that's not a conversational can of worms she's keen to open already more than she accidentally has.

So instead, she settles on;
]

That's shit, I'm sorry.
jazzandliquor: (You were a stranger in my phone)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-12-02 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I would wear that shirt. Put it on Red Bubble and make a fortune!

Eh, shit happens then you die. That's both my answer and the shirt I would make.
57times: (Wary)

[personal profile] 57times 2019-12-02 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure anyone makes a fortune on Red Bubble.

I mean, you're not wrong.

You're lucky you still have your mum though.
jazzandliquor: (even though the number is blocked)

[personal profile] jazzandliquor 2019-12-04 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, true. There has to be a better get rich scheme out there.

Oh, yeah, completely. I'd never give her up for the world. But, I was raised family comes first, everything else comes after, so, I'll always be bitter on the old man walking out.
