Mohinder wets his lips before he bursts out laughing. His hand falls to the other man's arm and he sighs through his nose and shakes his head. "My God, he thought me a child and I thought him one too. He might have well just been humouring me when I suggested that we play and here I thought I was entertaining him!" Perhaps that's not it but Mohinder will run with the idea, kind eyes gently fixed on Bruce while he leans into him.

See I think of Bruce as very handsome more than pretty. (though his eyes are very pretty)

"It almost wouldn't surprise me," but not because of what Mohinder said, but more that Tony acts enough like a child that maybe the Hulk did put him in that category. Which makes his heart pang in his chest. "I'm not even sure he knows how to humor someone. His thoughts are very basic. No more than a very young child."

Mohinder's not sure what to make of the way that Bruce reacts to him sometones. Mohinder flirts and half of the time, Bruce is receptive -- to Mohinder at least -- and the rest he just looks so sad. Mohinder removes his hand immediately and clears his throat. "Well, all I know is that we did get along quite well for the most part."

"Well, I'm glad. I'm glad you did and I'm glad he didn't hurt anyone." Which is what he generally is happy to find out on waking up. "Nice to have someone to bring me somewhere warm and safe afterward," adds thoughtfully. "I've woken up with frostbite once and it was one of the worst experiences. I have the scar on my foot to prove it."

He may be ten years Bruce's junior but he can still mother hen like the best.

"Tell Hank that. He would get a chuckle out of it." Bruce chuckles at the idea of it himself. "One of the few people who is as warm as I am, but he cheats with the fur. And if the change is painful, I can never remember. By the time I'm him, everything is healed from what I can tell and by the the time I wake up, I'm usually just exhausted... though sometimes wherever he's dumped me leaves me worse for wear. Honestly, I'm glad I don't remember."

Someone mother henning him. It's actually sort of adorable and it reminds him of Steve. "I'm fine, I promise. I've been dealing with it for a long time now."

"That hardly means you ought to. Or that you can possibly get use to it." The Indian is incredibly touchy, but that's part of his culture. His hand is once again on Bruce's arm. "C'mon then, inside with you. Have you eaten?" Molly is fine. She hardly even pays attention to him while she's with her friends. He loves that about this place.

"Hank made sure I had food as soon as I woke up, but I could eat more." It's rare he couldn't eat more; it's taken living with Thor and Steve around to finally get himself on a better appetite. "I'll eat if you come with me, mom." A little joke, turning back inside.

"Don't, that might stick," Mohinder says goodnaturedly and waves at Molly to let her know he's heading inside. She just nods and puts her head back together with the two girls she's really taken to. Mohinder holds the door for Bruce as he follows him into the building and falls into step with him in the corridor. "I've actually forgotten to eat myself so I hardly mind. I enjoy the company." Hint. Hint. No? Oh well.

Bruce takes that at face value, smiling a little more. "So do I. Now we see how long until you're sick of me." Not really (read: consciously) meaning any sort of self deprecation, it just comes naturally. "And I should worry if you're the one not eating. You have the same high metabolism I do, even if for different reasons."

"The more time I spent around you, the more we seem to have in common," Mohinder points out in his lovely velvet purr and patches Bruce plate by plate for what amounts to roughly brunch. Mohinder packs on the biscuits, dripping honey all over himself. The way he's left to clean himself up is not a flirt. He doesn't mean it to be. But it certainly can be taken that way as he licks his fingers and wrist and complains about his childish way of eating!

Bruce blinks, just once, when he realizes he's watching a little too closely and pointedly looks down at his meal. He enjoys listening to Mohinder for more than his brilliant mind and chance to hear Hindi again, he realizes as he listens more than he speaks at their brunch.

It leaves him very... unsure of himself. Tony had marched into his life and introduced him to himself like he had never been before; he had fallen hard for Tony, even as Steve told him to stop.

Now here was Mohinder, so soon after, and it feels almost wrong to have this kind of feeling about someone else. (Or really, anyone at all.)

Finally going for a napkin dipped in water, Mohinder is still left a sticky mess and he excuses himself to scamper off to clean himself properly. He's not gone for too long, just enough to treat Bruce to one of those particularly beautiful smiles that graces the lips of people pleased to return to another. His pupils are dilated. The attraction is obvious.

Mohinder let's it go, though. There's plenty of time. And from what he's learned, Bruce is still getting over someone. It's not in his nature to push. Though its difficult not to want to be close when they work in the lab. Or take their meals.

Hank will be the one to notice their interaction and mention it in passing. "The Other Guy likes him. And you seem to as well." Just an observation from a nosy friend.

Bruce looks up from his work when Hank says that, taking a few moments to actually place it, before blinking. "Of course. He's a good friend." Over his head Hank, right over his head. "It isn't often I get to have them, with my life." A wry smile.

Hank pushes his glasses up his nose and settles across from Bruce with the tilt of his head. "At forty two years old, Banner, that's just inexcusable," he teases lightly. "And I know you don't mean that. You have friends here."

Bruce waves a hand slightly. "I have friends now. I didn't for the majority of my life, Hank. And what is inexcusable?" He peers over the top of his glasses, then settles back from the microscope. McCoy has always been someone he deeply respected, even before he knew the man. He believed you could know a lot about a scientific man by reading his essays and papers.

"Your insistence at being so clueless." Hank will let him get back to work. With one small additional word. "Though I don't believe you e ever spent so much time here. So maybe that speaks enough for itself."

Leave a poor man confused, why don't you Hank. "What do you mean, clueless? And... well, I didn't have as much free time."

No, he spent it all working on Tony's lab on many things he cared about deeply that by now have gone to waste or are sitting in storage, waiting.

"Oh what do I know, Bruce," Hank laughs just as he leaves the room and bumps into Mohinder on the way, which just makes him laugh more.

Mohinder peeks into the lab at Bruce and smiles at him. "Your friend is a jolly fellow," he mentions, and since obviously he must still be in range of hearing, Hank bursts out laughing again before his voice disappears.

"He also has exceptionally good hearing, so be careful of that," Bruce warns, chuckling himself. "He has a... unique sense of humor, one I've always appreciated in his writing and now, gratefully, in person."

Bruce taps a finger on the table in front of him before asking, "do you think I'm clueless?" Trying to puzzle out Hank's words.

Mohinder's not sure of the context but he does give it some thought. "In what way?" He props his chin on his palm, eyes and attention directed entirely towards Bruce.

Which makes him believe he is, somehow. "I'm not entirely sure. Hank said I was." He shrugs a little, having hoped Mohinder would be able to give him some sort of idea about that. "Something about friends."

"You're clueless about your friends?" If they put their heads together, they might come up with an answer! Or, more likely, their curls will tangle together. Mohinder frowns lightly. "Which do you think he means? Himself?"

"No, I don't think so?" But now Bruce isn't sure. "...I don't want to be clueless about my friends." He puts his chin in his hand and props his elbow up on the table, frowning as he thinks.

They both share the same look, the both have the same stance. Mohinder tries to work through it. "He likely doesn't mean it harshly. He'd been laughing, hadn't he?" First in here and then upon meeting Mohinder and then again when Mohinder and Bruce had--

Mohinder is glad his skin is naturally dark. It hides the sudden blush.

"Oh-- Oh, no."
