AU Prompts:

i. Enemy Mine

You may not have gotten off to a good start, but trapped, alone together, in a wild place-- well, there's nothing that brings two people closer than relying on only each other for help and survival, and something has bloomed where the land was thought to be barren. So what if you are from different worlds? This is a new world, and there's no one to say that what you do for pleasure or love is wrong.

ii. Pulp Science Fantasy

After being kidnapped by the horrible Xalgonions of Xon'marx XIII, you prayed for someone to save you-- and someone did, clothing ripped and sweat shining on their skin as they cut down your cruel captors. Swoon! How could one not fall in love with someone so very, very swashbuckling, and who cares if their skin happens to be blue or bioluminescent, or if their weapon was clutched in a tentacle instead of a hand?

Perhaps no rescue came, and you are at the mercy of your cruel and perverse captors. Oh no! What horrible, lewd, awful, terrible things will they do to you? What pornographic use will they put you to? Is the rumor that they have amazing dongs true? There's only one way to find out!

iii. High Nonsense Fantasy

Does anyone care about why the incredibly powerful wizards filling the world haven't just magic'd away all disease with their boundless and eternal power? No, of course not; the really important thing is that elves, dragons, centaurs, and fairies are all real, and they are all willing to bone every other intelligent critter around (though some dragons might have a particular taste for royalty).

iv. Urban Fantasy & Modern Magic

Dating in a modern day and age can be hard; it gets harder if you have to plan around your monthly transformation into a canine, or turn into a mermaid every time your date takes you to the beach, or any other issue that arises from your inhumanity in a city built around human needs. Still, perhaps there's something you can offer because of your magic-tainted condition, instead of in spite of it...

Knowing magic is real, and demons are real, led you to those shelves at the back of the library, where everything has disclaimers that you shouldn't try this at home. But if they didn't want you to try it, then they wouldn't have given directions, right? And so you wound up with a demon, or spirit, or ghost, or some other phantasmal or fantastic being following you everywhere you go-- including the bedroom. (The downside: you can't get the salt from the summoning circle out of your carpet, no matter how much you vacuum. #summonerproblems )

v. Fun Fur Everyone

Animal-people are common-- perhaps everyone is an animal-person, with a cat's ears or logic-defying winghands, with whiskers and fur or scales and frills, and the edges of 'attractive' have shifted to include them all. Oh, sure, there might be humans as well (who are attractive in their own right), but think of all the things that animals can do that humans can't, and all the attributes they might not share, and how exciting it could be to learn something new every day you're with your partner of a different breed...

Peninnah didn't often get involved in violence. It was not her nature but when the priest, she served, revealed that one of her own had been captured and imprisoned all the calm compassion drifted away.

The biotech firm had many others of a magical nature. She released them all much to the dismay of the staff managing the prison. What they had done to those here, she did not know but she imagined it was grim due to some being injured.

She had thought to leave but the building spoke, one still remained imprisoned. They were kept in the basement within a windowless cell. She would leave none behind. No one deserved this kind of treatment. The door that stood between her and the presence she did not quite recognize was steel, thick and sturdy. What was within was probably stong.

She willed the stone blocks that made up the walls to release the hinges. The door fell out into the hallway with a crash.

"Hello?" She stepped into the door way tentative but unafraid. Silhouetted in the door frame it would be clear to whomever was inside that she was not human. She was short, only four and a half feet tall with huge bat wings, huge for her body size anyway, whose shadows passed beyond the doorway. Her lower legs formed like that if an animal made no sound as she stepped farther in. A tail tipped with a fluff of hair twitched nervously beneath the hem of her short dress. Closer inspection would reveal a beautiful Arab looking woman with sharp teeth and small, yet enlarged canines. Her presence would glow holy to any who could sense these things. She was made by the hands of God.

"Hello?" She spoke again, sure now that there was something in this room, alive but not alive in the way a human was.. It was curious.

Yes, one must sleep sometimes, even having been kidnapped. It wasn't the first time in the young vampire's life he had been kidnapped. He had been once before, long ago, as a child.

Not that he expected to ever be kidnapped again, and, why now? But it wasn't the end of the world, and for now, he could plan how to escape, and wonder when Domi'd become annoyed and come beat his kidnappers. That. Might not be so good for them.

A hello? rouses him from sleep. A voice not belonging to any of his kidnappers, as far as he can tell. Curious, he replies,

"hello? Who's there? Hello, miss...?"

Her wings rustle as she closes them and reopens them to pass through the doorway. She hears the stirring, just now realizing the occupant may have been asleep.

"Are you injured?""Her voice is cautious but concerned. "I am Peninnah. I came to release the people imprisoned here."

She continues to approach but slowly, tail swishing nervously behind her. She's still not sure what kind of being she is dealing with yet.

Mhm, they did injure him, those kidnappers, but vampires heal quickly, and Noe has to think for a second to even remember he had been injured recently. Not anymore, though, he's completely uninjured now, so, to answer, he says, calmly, and now louder so the curious stranger can hear him well, no more muttering,

"No, Miss."

And, as an afterfought,

"I'm hungry, Miss, if that's your next question."

He's trying to be helpful. After all, this woman, whoever she is, seems worried about him.

This was so not what she asked for.

Most girls tended to by charms from the temple with the luck that love would come to them. In a sense, it was a bit of a old gimmick to even Rei had admitted that her grandfather just like to sell to young women, especially in the attempt to flirt with them along with making some decent income. What made her buy one? Desperation. But...it never hurt to at least give it a try? Not that she'd ever tell anyone she ever bought one with the hopes of love coming her way or maybe even a cute guy. Or her senpai finally noticing her. None of that. What she had gotten summoned in her bedroom was from form of snake yoaki? He definitely wasn't human. At first she thought it might have been one that came to attack her and was ready to transform to kick his ass til she realized how exactly he came to be here.

Now she was left with trying to figure out what to do about him now.

"Oi...I wondered if I said it wrong..." A hand pressed against the side of her face as she thought.

How do you bumble summoning a demon that was written on a simple love charm? She could go to Rei, but....she'd never live this down. It'd be an odd thing to really be calling about at this time of night.

The only part this charm seemed to get right was bringing a male and being older. Well, she thinks. An attractive boyfriend none the less though taking him out would be a little difficult. Date nights might be a little strange going out...

No, why was she thinking about that being normal? Well, she wasn't normal either.
