[ She murmurs words of encouragement and comfort as his skin knits itself back together. It isn't long before the bloodied arrow lies harmlessly in the grass and Mercedes is using the last cleansing touch of her magic to complete the healing process.

His tattoos are quite intriguing. He bares no visible sign of a Crest or recognizable symbol from her world, but she finds them vibrant and even beautiful. Oh, but it's rude for her to stare! She stands before smoothing down her dress, a small smile on her face. ]

I'm glad I can be helpful. Magic has always been a subject I have a particular affinity for. [ She reaches a hand out for him to take. ] Though you should meet my best friend Annie! She's one of the most talented people I know when it comes to magic and... most things, really!

[Don't think he didn't notice where her gaze went. What's a girl like her doing, looking at a guy like him? People are going to talk if they find out. He knows what that's like. Oh, but no one's around now...

He takes her by the hand, pulls himself up, and with a bright smile, he replies:]

His blunt reply surprises her though. Tilting her head, she lets out a questioning hum. ]

[ But she'll leave it at that. She's not one to push others into doing things they don't want to, though perhaps it wouldn't hurt to encourage him to spend more time out with her. If he's lonely, she'd love to relieve him of that, if even a little. ]

[ Perhaps he'll share that 'sad, boring story' with her in time. Or perhaps he won't. Either way, she accepts that. She knows what drudging up old pains can feel like. Though his sudden offer has her blinking in surprise, one hand curled against her chest as she trails behind him. ]
