Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.

Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.

A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

It's not until the power flickers that Martin starts to really get concerned. Sure, it's the middle of the night, and everyone else has gone home. Sure, there's an uncharacteristic blanket of snow inches deep outside, coating the streets outside the Institute, but Martin had planned on just working through it.

But then the power has to go and flicker, and Martin finds himself at Jon's door, drawn and tired and a little chilly.

"We've got backup generators, right?"

And then everything goes dark.

[ Day 4, and they've gotten through the snowier climes on the way to Ambermere. However, past the snow, they encounter rain, and Elsa doesn't exactly have a lot of sway over the comings and goings of clouds. Precipitation is going to happen whether they like it or not, and it can either be rain or snow, at this point.

Rain is probably the more reasonable option.

Elsa's cloak stays wrapped around her shoulders, her hood pulled up, but her long hair has still caught some of the downpour, and her cheeks and nose are streaked with the constant droplets of rain. Her snowy steed was abandoned a couple days prior, when it promised to draw more attention than Elsa liked as they reached the more populated areas, so that means now she's trudging through puddles with Peter. ]

Are we close to a settlement or— anything? My boots are soaked.

[ The rain is cold, too, just shy of sleet, but Elsa has the good fortune of barely noticing the bone-deep chill in the air. She can feel it, but it's no more uncomfortable to her than a temperate sunny day.

(It takes a special sort of cold to be too much for Elsa.) ]

[ Go to the Alps, she said. It'd be fun, she said. In the winter, no less. Ashe isn't fond of skiing, snowboarding or ice skating and finds those sports to be a colossal waste of time. She hates the snow, the cold and the entire winter season. Christmas included. She'd sooner shoot the head off a snowman, lie on a bed of nails than make a snow angel and fill snowballs with rocks and other sharp objects. However, she doesn't hate Angela and of course she isn't going to say no if she asks her to come visit.

Though, she might consider it next time.

The problem with this visit is their current situation. Because life cannot be kind and neither can the weather: they are snowed into an old abandoned cabin after an afternoon hike turned into something more treacherous. The blizzard that was supposed to roll in the next day came busting in early like it owned the place (and it did).

After a good couple of hours in the heavy winds, the cabin was all there was. The chimney's stability looked questionable, the wind was blowing too hard to go search for fire wood, there were far too many holes in the dilapidated walls and their clothes had been almost frozen solid from the snow, the last resort seemed to be the lone blanket that the house had on it's second floor.

Finding a corner that didn't seem to be directly in line with a draft, Ashe drapes the blanket around Angela and pulls her close, shivering involuntarily as she wraps her arms around her under the old, scratchy fabric. She's already missing the most miserably hot days in the American southwest. ]

If you ain't travelin' for work this time next year, we're spendin' it in Texas.

[ To be fair, Nyx had told her to bring a jacket when they went out for the evening. Something about the Altissian air being chilly during the evenings, what with being directly on the ocean and all. Not to mention the seasons were changing. At the time, Luna had laughed it off; Tenebrae could get chilly, too, after all. She'd be fine, she said. A little cold doesn't hurt anyone, she'd assured.

Except it was freezing, her knee length dress and the fact it had no sleeves were hardly appropriate attire for such weather. She didn't complain, of course; that would mean that Nyx won and she'd have to endure the 'I told you so' that would inevitably follow. So now that they've entered their hotel room for the night, all bets are off: she is no longer an Oracle, she is a popsicle who, as soon as the hotel room door shuts, casually manages to wriggle her way right into his jacket. With him still in it.

'I told you so' s be damned. ]

Well, this was a pleasant evening, wasn't it? [ Don't mind the fact that she's an ice cube, Nyx. An ice cube who is entirely too happy to be clinging and burying her face into his chest. ]

[This may be the most ironic day of Karen's life. She doesn't trust any of these "Soul Gem" type magical girls they've run across in their search for some MacGuffin or other, and Homura stands out as clearly the shadiest one of all. So when they were pairing off to cover more ground, she was quick to say she wanted to work with Homura, so that she could keep an eye on her and deal with her if need be.

But then the weather took a sudden turn for the cold and wet, and they took shelter in a long-abandoned cabin with little in the way of useful supplies, and now they're stuck here and it's going to get colder before it gets warmer and their clothes are soaked. So now, specifically because she wasn't sure she wanted anything to do with Homura, she's stripping down to her underwear in preparation for snuggling up close together in the one remaining good chair wrapped up in the one blanket.

Of course, even without all that backstory it would be awkward, which is why she's looking away and trying to focus very hard on laying her clothes out to hopefully dry, rather than on the knowledge that Homura is also in her underwear on the other side of the room.]
