glassesonachain: (dumbfounded)

[Words don't come out of her mouth but she gives him another cranky expression and her thoughts start piling in his head at a dizzying speed. Part of her brain is focused on his commentary. It makes her angry that now she knows for certain that he really does think she's perfect and that is a standard she cannot possibly live up to because she's so far from that that Bennett can't even figure out why he thinks so in the first place. It doesn't make sense and he's stupid. Then another part of her is going off on a tangent about how he drives her absolutely crazy with how he can be so optimistic all the time. There's a million reasons that this could be a horrible thing that just ends up hurting both of them and all he can think about is how perfect she is and how hearing each other's thoughts could theoretically be a good thing. And finally, a bit of her is already brainstorming ways to fix this mess and reverse it. Knowing that he just heard all of her mental rambling, Bennett just sort of huffs off to get an imitrex and a glass of water downstairs. She just needs to walk away from him for a little bit and cool her temper. Pretend that she's still alone in her head.

When she comes back up to the lab, she doesn't say anything at all to Topher. Bennett just heads straight for the lower level and sits on the couch. He may approach her if he dares.]
