JEALOUSY
Everyone feels jealous at one point or another, whether it's justified or not. What's important is how we deal with it... do we discuss it, fight about it, or plan epic revenge to carry out?
- Post with your character's name/series in the subject as well as any preferences.
- Others go to RNG and roll from 1-10, then respond!
- Play it out!
1 → wandering eye.
You think your lover has been looking at other's a little too often or flirting too much in your company. You can't keep quiet any longer about it.
2 → simple life
Your friend, family, or lover has always had it so much easier and you can't help but feel a little put off.
3 → don't you forget about me
Your friend or lover has found someone new they want to spend almost all their time with and you can't help but feel a little cheated.
4 → cheated
Forget just a sneaking suspicion. You've caught your lover in the act of cheating and it's driving you nuts. You have to confront them about it.
5 → for the glory
You did all the work, or at least you feel like you did, so why do they always get all the praise?
6 → moved on
You broke up or had a falling out with someone close to you and it's killing you to see how they've seemed to let go and you're stuck standing in place.
7 → because i want you
You're jealous of any attention they get because you're secretly in love with them. Time to make it known!
8 → always the favorite
Everyone always praises them or they were clearly the favorite child or just more popular with friends. You can't help but hate it.
9 → more experience
they're more experienced, either in the bedroom or in the office. Any activity, they outshine you. Who wouldn't feel a little inferior?

Charmaign | Anita Blake OC

They're all so alive out there in the streets, in the Haight, in their crash pads and communes and tents in Golden Gate Park. They smell of sweat and sex and that horrible oil they all seem to wear to cover the other odors. In a way they remind him of the nights when he was young and still almost human.
The "Summer of Love" they're calling it, and was it so wrong that after another bitter fight with Charmaign that he wanted a taste of that for himself?
Coming home, he knew that perhaps it had been, but he had felt outside himself when he accepted the young man's advances and he still felt a bit outside himself as he unlocked the door and headed immediately for the bathroom without calling out to Char or greeting the babies.]
no subject
Behind and to either side of him, the babies sat in a neat row, three to his right, three to his left, looking prim and likewise disgusted with daddy's deeds.]
no subject
He didn't stop, turning up the hall to leave Char alone in the living room.]
no subject
You smell of-
[Wrinkling his nose and spitting out the word] Patchouli- and -
[And suddenly those long fingers are digging sharp nails into Fletcher's clothes, burying them in flesh and drawing blood] And sex.
[A growl.] You cheated on me.
no subject
Yes, I cheated. I wanted someone with both a warm body and a warm heart for a change and I wasn't going to get that at home.
no subject
[And he's sweeping his arm out across a hallway table with a few outrageously expensive knick-knacks carefully arranged on top. Oh, fuck it, he kicks the entire table, letting the antique thing splinter against the far wall.]
This is the only way to earn my forgiveness, Fletcher. Helping me to clean up your park-living, non bathing mess. If he's given you fleas, I won't suffer you in the house to infect the babies.

Shrieky waited for a few long moments, until he was absolutely certain that the Shepherd was distracted, then he splished up out of the water, and darted his hand out like a viper, snatching the whole bundle, and ducking down out of sight behind some reeds.
The Shepherd turned around, and looked at the spot where his pack had once been, an expression of comical shock blossoming on his face.
"Ere! I could have sworn I left my packed lunch here, but a moment ago! Where could it possibly have gone?"
Shrieky kept silent, watching with the pack clutched to his chest, as the Shepherd made a show of scratching his head, before turning towards the sheep.
"Did one of you rotten sheep make off with it! How rude! After I found all this lovely grass for the lot of you! I'm going to close my eyes and count to ten, and when I reach ten, you'd better have put it back!"
There might have been some top secret giggling going on from behind the reeds at this point, but if the Shepherd heard it, then he certainly pretended otherwise. He folded his arms stubbornly, and closed his eyes. "One... Two..."
Shrieky dug a single apple out of the pack, and carefully leaned forward, to roll it across the bank towards the Shepherd's ankles, before darting back into hiding.

The last week had been different, though. Shrieky was nowhere to be found several days ago, and here again he had gone missing. It was completely unacceptable. Didn't he understand that he had a responsibility to Tobias to stay in one place so that he could be properly haunted?
So Tobias swam around and around the moat, getting increasingly irritated, until finally he happened across Shrieky and this man.
And Shrieky was laughing.
His gut twisted. He sank below the water where Shrieky couldn't see, and he watched.

Quick as lightning, Shrieky's arm flashed out again just as the Shepherd closed his eyes. There was a loud crunching sound, and the Shepherd spun around again, eyes opening just in time for the apple to be returned, with a single bite taken out of it.
"Oi! You cheeky little get!" He was laughing too now, shaking his head, and reaching down to pick up the bitten apple, "You cheeky, cheeky sheep! I'm not going to bring an apple tomorrow, that'll teach you! Now, as I said, I'm going to close my eyes again..."
There was more giggling from the rushes, but this time, when the Shepherd opened his eyes again, there was a boiled egg, complete with the shell on it, sitting on the grass.
"Yeah, you don't like these do you? I remember. Tomorrow I'll just bring a big basket of eggs! You'll be sorry then, won't you?"
There was a happy little splash from behind the reeds, and the giggling wasn't even trying not to be obvious now.

Tobias watched the shepherd through the water, the sunlight behind his head making him wavering and wicked-looking. His laughter sounded unnatural and frightening, as though he was luring Shrieky into some kind of trap. Making him laugh. That wasn't right at all.
Seething, Tobias swam from the reeds to the bank and passed, with some difficulty, through it. Half in the bank and half out, he reached up blindly and grabbed the egg with one half-visible hand on the second try, squeezing it as tightly as he could until it was a mangled mess. Then he pushed himself backwards out of the bank and away, watching through the water again.
no subject
He was cut off by Tobias's hand popping out of the ground and abruptly destroying it. With an alarmed little shriek, he jerked back, falling on his buttocks on the grass. It wasn't a sound that Shrieky was accustomed to hearing from the Shepherd, so he quickly pushed the reeds aside and leaned through them, to peer out at the fallen man.
The Shepherd stared at the ruined egg, then looked up at Shrieky, who was pushed up through the reeds, and onto the side of the bank, with the purloined packed lunch clutched in one arm, and his golden scales peeking out just above the waterline. Odd distress seemed to wane slightly, in the face of fascination.
"Hi." He said, his tone hesitant, "...I didn't... I never seen you before..." Then a thought seemed to occur to him, and a sudden glee overcame his expression, "Is that my lunch? You little crook! Have you been letting me blame the sheep all these years?"
Shrieky cackled delightedly, and rolled over in the reeds, still holding tight to the packed lunch as the Shepherd hesitantly stood, coming a little closer.
no subject
Well. There was one surefire way to stop that.
"My little crook," he snarled soundlessly in the water and swam headlong into the bank again, wriggling farther in until he was sunk to his knees and could reach his target.
Which was the Shepherd's ankle.
He grabbed it, tight and cold and wet, and started grimly pulling him down into the mud of the bank.

6 OH NO
How can you be so....happy?
[It's barely above a whispered spit as her hands turn into fists.]
I gave up everything, and now I get to deal with not having anything left....I hate it!
Serah no.
Serah... isn't that what you wanted? For me to move on and be happy?
no subject
[She shakes her head, turning away, looking at the ground.]
Why don't you just go home?!
no subject
If me going home will help you with that, I will. But I don't think that's really what you want.
no subject
[She turns and takes a step towards him.]
I want your happiness. I want you.
no subject
That's... unexpected.
