Learning Cheuhn was proving to be a little bit of a challenge. It was a good thing that Altair quite liked challenges, was determined to learn the language.

Seated on his bed in his quarters, he was working on a new needlepoint project, while practicing what he'd learned so far- getting himself used to speaking the language without stumbling over the words, to speak in the same secure tone in which he spoke Basic.

Perhaps it was a little strange for a Sith Lord, to be sitting on his bed, needlepoint in hand, talking to himself. But that hardly mattered. He'd always been strange for a Sith Lord, anyway, and he doubted that was ever going to change.

Having finished his previous work and handed it over to Thrawn already, the new embroidery was of a tree he had once seen on Rishi, with blue flowers that near glowed during their flowering season. He quite liked the shimmering blue thread he was using for the flowers, too, how it shone when the light hit it at the right angle.

This too would be a gift, he'd decided when he'd started on it.

A familiar presence in the Force drew his attention up. No intentions, yet feeling so secure sensing it too. It was strange how time could change so many things. Where sensing a Chiss through the Force had previously made him terrified, now he felt something else entirely.

Quickly shoving his project under his pillows, he hopped up off the bed and headed to the door to his quarters- opening it to greet the other Chiss well before he'd even gotten the chance to knock- "Thrawn. I could sense you coming. Should I have waited until you knocked?" He asked, his words a little awkward, slower than he would normally have spoke, definitely speaking with an accent, and yet making the attempt to speak Cheuhn either way.

[ There's been a lot going on with them. They've been though so much - on opposite sides of war, with heated words and physical violence and hurt and so much else that sometimes Adora is quietly boggled by how far they've come.

That's never stopped her from loving Catra with all of her heart. She's also disgustingly mushy now that they've recovered and picked up the pieces and tentatively begun figuring out what they want to do and how they're going to do it. So Catra really is just going to have to get used to Adora casually draping herself over her shoulders and shoving her face into her hair. ]
