[ It was a charming little place, lots of cute decorations and as soon as they walked in, there was just a warm air about the place. Like one was walking into a big welcoming home or something. He thought the home-y feel would make Ichigo feel happy and comfortable seeing as how big his own home was.
Mitsutada ends up picking on the tables further back so the two of them could have a bit more privacy. Not to mention the seats in the far back were near a cute little fish tank with some pretty little fish swimming about. ]
[Ichigo did like the decor and atmosphere of the place, and he couldn’t help looking around in wonder as they are led to their seats. Then he turned round to study the colourful little fish rather excitedly for a moment, before settling down to make his order. Afterwards, he felt embarrassed by his earlier behaviour for he must have looked very much like a little child just now...]
... this place is really wonderful, Mitsutada-kun.
I see. I’ll have to bring some of my brothers here later, the younger ones will absolutely love this. I hope the food turns out to be as good as how this place looks!
[And now comes the wait for the food. What to do? He decides to reach across the table to take hold of Mitsutada’s hand.]
You might be disappointed if you're expecting it to taste anything like mine, but Sada-chan seemed to have nothing but praise for this place.
[ He seemed a little surprised at first, but doesn't even hesitate to let Ichigo take his hand. He smiles a little, with a tilt to his head as he watches him. Did he have something planned or maybe he just wanted to hold his hand in general? ]
[ His heart melts incredibly after that line. Even when Ichigo was being shy and sweet, his words had incredible charm to them. It'd be impossible not to fall for him. ]
I'm glad... Because I like the way your hand feels in my own, like it was meant to be there.
[ Mitsutada gives the waiter a small smile and a bit of a head bow, but, it didn't seem like he wanted the contact with Ichigo to end. If he was too nervous to hold hands, the next best thing was gently nudging Ichigo's leg from under the table. }
[Ichigo looked up at the nudge, his cheeks turning a light pink. Then he nudged him back shyly. Now don’t distract him too much, he’s trying to eat!
But then his eyes fell on his drink and he considered it for a moment, wondering if people did this. But then again he’d probably already deviated from any rules of a ‘normal’ first date from the very start. He looked over at Mitsutada and held up his glass.]
Shall we make a toast to this date... and all our future ones?
[ That shy look on his face was worth it. Seeing all these different reactions out of him, they were absolutely charming... ]
So... there will be future ones?
[ Hearing that, while he was pretty sure their date had been going well, it was a nice confirmation that Ichigo was enjoying himself as much as he was. Now it was his turn to look a tiny bit flushed as he holds up his glass a bit. ]
Well, there isn't anything I don't eat... Ah, it'd be nice to have a traditional home cooked meal. I haven't had one in a long while and...
[He looked a bit embarrassed to admit it.]
... I do have a bit of a sweet tooth, especially anything with strawberries in it.
[And the waiter came with the strawberry parfait he'd ordered at that very moment, adding to his embarrassment! He couldn't help ordering it, it had looked so tasty from the photo in the menu and the real thing looked just as good.]
[ So cute... He just gives Ichigo a soft little smile as he begins to take a few bites out of his own meal. His foot lightly tapping at Ichigo's leg again as well. ]
[He eyes the parfait that brought him so much embarrassment. At least Mitsutada didn't tease him about it like a certain classmate of theirs would have.]

[And he’s just going to tug Mitsutada along for he is rather hungry now and once they reach it, he’s going to let Mitsutada choose where they sit.]

[ He almost seemed to sparkle at the compliment. ]
Sada-chan, he's the one who told me about it. He told me he went with his friends after school one day and I really had to try it out.

Nothing will be able to rival your cooking, Mitsutada-kun!
[Ichigo bowed his head bashfully at the questioning look on Mitsutada’s face.]
I just wanted to hold your hand... See how perfectly yours wraps around mine.

I'm glad... Because I like the way your hand feels in my own, like it was meant to be there.

I’m very happy to hear you say that.
[He held Mitsutada’s hand a while longer, before pulling away when he saw a waiter coming with their food.]

Thank you, the food looks terrific.

[ He gives Ichigo a smile and reaches over to clink his glass with his.]
Because now that I've experienced the first, I want to have more.
no subject
[He smiles back fondly and returns the clink, then he takes a sip of his non-alcoholic beverage. (He has a rather low alcohol tolerance.)]
Perhaps our next one could include a home cooked meal?

I'll have to keep this in mind for later then.

Mmm, not bad.

It's okay, but I'm sure you can do much better.

You didn't order any dessert?
