[After the experience with the noble who decided to try and steal Olivia away as his wife, Basilio figured that he should find some kind of protection for her. Fortunately, someone had been in town who was suited perfectly for the job, and he had taken the offer without a moment's hesitation.
His name was Bedivere, and he was some kind of knight errant. To say he was skilled with a blade would be an understatement; his ability to handle a sword was second to none, and he had been able to impress the khan himself with his mastery of the weapon. But most unusual of all about him was his right arm. It was artificial, and it appeared to be made out of pure silver. He could use it just as adeptly as his natural arm, and it appeared to have some magic properties to it, as well. Bedivere himself was rather tight-lipped about its origin, though -- all he'd say was that it was originally the property of an ancient warrior of legend.
However, other than that, Bedivere was very friendly and charming. He was as chivalrous as a knight could be, and he treated Olivia with kindness, patience, and respect. In turn, he had been growing to enjoy his time with the dancer, particularly when he got to watch her perform.
Tonight, though...tonight would be different. Bandits attacked the village during Olivia's performance and the hall where she was dancing descended into chaos. Fortunately, Bedivere immediately set a plan in motion. He had taken Olivia by the hand and led her out of the performance hall. He led the way to a nearby inn, went up to the top floor, and left her in a room. He then raced back downstairs to join the villagers in driving off the bandits.
It would be two hours before Bedivere returned. He was dirty, and there was a large tear on his left arm. The bleeding from the cut underneath had stopped by the time he got back, but it still hurt to move.]
Lady Olivia. Are you still unhurt?
