there's no end to the questions.

A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION

YOU MAY KNOW EACH OTHER ALREADY - OR YOU MAY NOT. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, YOU'RE NOW PASSING THE TIME ASKING EACH OTHER QUESTIONS. IT'S A GAME! A QUESTION FOR A QUESTION. YOU START OFF ASKING YOUR OPPONENT A QUESTION OF CHOICE AND IF THEY ANSWER IT, THEY'RE ALLOWED TO ASK YOU A QUESTION IN TURN. THE RULES ARE SIMPLE, ONLY AS LONG AS YOU ANSWER THE OTHER PERSON'S QUESTIONS ARE YOU ALLOWED TO ASK QUESTIONS YOURSELF, BUT THERE IS NO EXPECTATION OF TRUTHFULNESS HERE, LIE IF YOU MUST OR WANT, JUST KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING.

How to play -

1. Comment with your character's name, fandom and preference.
2. If you want, leave a question in the comment field that your character is asking their opponent. Or don't. I'm not the cops.
3. Pick other characters to question and have fun!

[ It's a weird rant—weirdly specific and weirdly literate, so much so that William forgets his instincts, ignores every sign he should be backing off. He watches the other man talk, watches the words pour out of him. It's not until the comment about his field that William takes his cue. His shoulders roll back. One hand slides to his pocket and he looks away, diffident. ] Sorry. [ A glance up, a tentative smile. ] About your molars.

[ There's a pause—he tries to gauge the other man's anger, how much give there is to it. ] Do you want that? Or would you? Higher consciousness.

[Strand's anger is simmering, given to the occasional bubble and burst, never cool enough to calm down--but dissipated easily enough by stirring up the conversation just a little bit. The joke is more than enough to have him matching William for steps back, laughing dry and just a little sheepish.]

I don't believe in higher consciousness. Not like--what do you think is higher consciousness?
